I pretty much just started to build so going against sweat if they can build is just a bad idea for me. I agree Fortnite is now more competitive. My first 10 games in like a year or 2, I died and got emoted on and teabagged so many times that I thought I was playing COD. I understand Fortnite is competitive now but I wish players would at least relax. I just got 11 kills without trying super hard and just chilling and having fun. 12 my second or 3rd game back. I am at the point of if I see a sweat cranking for no reason, I just do the face palm emote and gg emoticon and drop my weapons. I don't even try fighting sweats anymore

True, the reason I had fun at the time was because it was new to me. That moment when I got my first dub was something I remembered forever, and it will never hit the same. I'm sure if the current map were to be swapped by the original map by some God, we would miss the current one so much. But now that I know how everything works, it's never going to be as fun of an experience as it is originally going to be. Same thing with Minecraft, when PewDiePie revived it in mid 2019 for nostalgia, it grew large, but not as large as it was back in 2013, showed by Google Trends. It can be better, but it can truly never hit as hard as it originally has, same goes for Fortnite, which is the sad truth.

True, the reason I had fun at the time was because it was new to me. That moment when I got my first dub was something I remembered forever, and it will never hit the same. I'm sure if the current map were to be swapped by the original map by some God, we would miss the current one so much. But now that I know how everything works, it's never going to be as fun of an experience as it is originally going to be.
Same thing with Minecraft, when PewDiePie revived it in mid 2019 for nostalgia, it grew large, but not as large as it was back in 2013, showed by Google Trends. It can be better, but it can truly never hit as hard as it originally has, same goes for Fortnite, which is the sad truth.

It feels almost bittersweet because I loved discovering the map with the boys, and just running games nonstop til we finally got a dub.
Now I'm solo in zero build and it's a wasteland. The nostalgia faded quick. Can't wait til we are in a season with actual movement options.
No, the game DOES feel the same as 2018 for me & all of my friends. Everyone at my school is talking about Fortnite again, I wake up every day excited about Fortnite, and have so much fun playing it, no matter the “sweats”. It does feel the same as 2018.
