Thank you for the wonderful ideas. Please clarify whether a top coat is necessary on fabric as well. Is dry cleaning a recommended method to prolong the quality of the design ?
I heard that with foiling you shouldn't use repositioning sprays on the stencils, it's a glue abs the foils also sticks to where the repositioning adhesive was stuck to.
I haven't had any issues but I always allow the repositionable spray adhesive to tack up well before applying to my projects - if you allow this to tack up, it should never leave a residue on your projects - but if you get in a hurry it can happen. It really does help with the Fusible Spray adhesive - you don't want that to get under the stencil :)
This would hold much better if you actually used the adhesive HTV for foils, cut it in that stencil, weed it, press it, then press the foil over it. After that you peel the foil off and it only sticks to where the adhesive is. I would never use a spray adhesive for this! It would come off in a couple washes!

Does the type of fabric matter when foiling?
No :) You can foil on any fabric, just make sure you are using one of our fabric adhesives!
