Love this idea! Would acrylics work for this project? I used them to paint pictures on sweatshirts for my kids when they were little. That denim would be cute in many ways. Definitely can see them on Jean jacket, Jean quilts or tote bags. Go ahead and share more ideas. I may have to get all my Jean stash out soon!

Thanks! I'm not sure how acrylics would wash and wear in the long run. If you try it let me know! I'm still not sure what I want to do with these, but I will make a video about it soon! xoxo

Thank you for this video, I think I will also try some stencils with spray bleach for a more ethereal look😃

You're welcome. Good luck! Let me know how it goes. I find spray bleach to be very tricky.

This is such a great idea! I've got water-based block printing ink left over from my linocuts that can be used for fabric. Do you reckon that would be suitable for stenciling?

Could you put the indigo into a spray bottle, mask everything off and just spray it on?

Can you wash the denim after it's painted and ironed? Or does the paint wash off?

Thanks for watching! If you heat fix (iron) the paint it should be ok to wash. The instructions say that you can also use Jacquard Airfix to improve the washability. What's your favorite kind of fabric paint?
