You're absolutely right about the hair! I love the color of her afro, but it looked like a rat's nest when I first got it. I had to do multiple dips and reshape with hair gel just to make it look right.
Love her! I think the only issue with the hair are the bangs. wet them and then apply gel. I would use a rat tail comb to style the waves and then use tissue paper to hold bangs in place until they dry. I hate dealing w patient care so I always avoid them. Good luck w whatever you decide to do!
This video really made me respect you. It is so sad seeing grown people looking past obvious issues because they are cowards. You are not and I appreciate that. You really should contact IT about replacing the head for you because quite a few look so terribly styled and not like what was advertised.

The emotions you heard were real. I didn't want to hide that from my viewers but I also didn't want to loose my ish LOL. I love IT, but this was just wrong.

Thank you so much! The thing about IT's promo pictures is that IMO a lot of times the dolls actually come out better IRL than what we see in the promo pictures. I've missed out on some good dolls based upon their promo pictures. That being said, after this doll, I am going to be keeping an eye out for any more switcheroo situations like this one where we were sold one doll and received another. I hope after all of the complaints that they got that they will try not to sell us a doll they can't deliver.
I don't know ... I actually REALLY like her a lot. I'm going to see if I can get her on the secondary market. I think her hair, at least to me, just needs a little reshaping / rearranging. I'm not good with hair either but I still think she's exquisite!
Integrity sent me a replacement head, but it wasn't much better, unfortunately. I am going to try to just work with it and style it myself. There is no way it is going to look like the picture though LOL 🤣
Some of my friends got on my case saying that I was being sensitive about the hair, that all I have to do is fix it and style it. I SUCK at doing hair. All I can do is condition and straighten hair with hot water and I didn't want to further ruin this doll. I love her so I am going to have to learn how to style curly hair. I have a collector friend that lives in the city that is good with curly haired dolls. I am going to have to enter an apprenticeship with him lol
I used a small rubberband and kept tugging, but if you look really closely, I don't have them on her hands very well. It was really difficult. I wish they had given us the painted gloved hands instead of this. I mean really, she can't even hold her drink with these gloves lol

I think she's very beautiful and the dress and accessories are very nice. But that hair... for $160? Not to mention that Patient Care will take weeks to months to receive a replacement, dampening your love and appreciation for the doll. If IT wants to make more dolls, they'll need to address Quality Control. Not cool.
It’s like they skipped that last step of styling/setting the hair. This is embarrassing 🤦🏽 And next year they are increasing production numbers before addressing the QC issue?? I’m skerred 🥹
I think you are right. That's what it felt like. I feel like I got an unfinished doll. there was no gel or anything in it that would have set the hairstyle. This was huge blunder and disappointment.
I think if you collect A LOT of dolls. You have to balance what you think is something that needs to be repaired and something you can tweak yourself. Im guessing all the dolls came this way, the hair cut sucks and it needs to be style... by the collector or a friend of the collector. If IT "fixes" the doll into something that doesn't look like the rest of the dolls of this release... well that would just be unfair for the rest of us that might chose to just live with it.

I enjoyed this unboxing. The hair did not bother me. I loved the shoes, but still not ready to spend that much unless it is a boi doll
