So far, liking what I see here overall. The backpack is a little messy, but seems to be smaller than MP44. Blue part on his ass also extends a bit too far. Only real let down is the unpainted matrix chamber. 86 Commander Magnus and even ER Leader Prime had a painted Matrix Chamber, making the lack of paint here quite egregious. Especially considering 86 Commander Prime is the big ticket 40th anniversary figure for this year at a $90 Commander Class price point.
@Jetix34 The extended blue ass is mainly a filler piece to make the back of the cab completely filled in, but honestly, it doesn't need it.
They also had the gun and roller completely painted. I could live with an unpainted roller and rather the resources be used in the matrix chamber instead, but oh well. I'm still mostly enjoying this figure

@Jetix34 I found the complexity alright, at its core its very simple, just lotta extra panel flipping here n there (I'll see if I can muster motivation to film the process later).
Plastic feels really good, even the trailer feels super good, none of that flexible plastic trailer like the ER version

this actually looks pretty awesome, the backpack and the anti aircraft gun is a little small are my only issues with it. i might buy it tbh

@@LIMITLESS2774 The release date is November 1st in the U.S. but he's already out in the Asian market because they tend to get things a bit sooner. Less travel time between the factory and the shelf.

How exactly did they steal figures? They're literally sold early in some places like in Singapore and in conventions
Ngl, SS86 Prime grew on me. I doubt I will ever pick it up since I pretty much exclusively fw Bay and other Live Action stuff but I hope it satisfies the want for a perfect Chug Optimus for atleast most people.
Biggest issue to me is a lack of interior detail. No stickers or printing for anything. Its just all grey. It almost is perfect.

How big is he compared to SS112? I recently got the regular version and wanted to know the size comparison so I have some idea of the height. And while the Matrix Chamber being unpainted is a massive bummer, Toyhax will most definitely rectify that when they inevitably make a sticker sheet for it. Anyway, I can't wait for the release of this figure and will definitely start tracking one down when it hits store shelves.

I found a review of this guy and they compare it to SS102 and Missing Link G1 Prime. They're almost the same size as each other.

How big is he compared to SS 109 Concept Art Megatron. Is he bigger than him or the same height scale?
SS109 is smidge taller than 86 Prime, like half a head or so

That huge backpack and the 4 holes on glasses chest, damn.
Those holes are necessary to put clear plastic pieces over the blue parts, they are also present in the Earthrise version.

Don't get me wrong, the figure looks outstanding, but I struggle to see if this is truly worth the 90 dollars. I really don't know if the trailer and blast effects really makes up for the $40 price increase. For example, the combat deck robot looks way too small compared to prime and the trailer. Surely they could've easily made it bigger without budget constraints. Or what about the unpainted matrix chamber?
Imo, figure feels like it should be $70 at most.

How big the alt mode compared to Ultra Magnus's one? Is it significantly bigger?

@ZukoPrince The cab is juuuuuuust slightly bigger than magnus but not that noticeable, I think. I did a community post with a picture of their alt mode comparisons if you wish to take a look.

The only thing I don't understand is why they didn't include a spot to tab on some jetpack exhausts to the jetpack, it would have looked just like that episode he used the backpack and people would have been way more accepting of the backpack.
Now call me a hater, but I don’t like what I am seeing with the articulation, it looks hella average with nothing being over the 90 degrees, which sucks, faux forming grill, skirt armor despite the figure being 90 dollars (I know it is due to proportional issues, but counter point, Rodimus Prime) only until I see a proper review will I rethink what I said

@Yaviel580 The usual articulation, no cool ab crunch or high-kicking legs like SS102. The knees do go beyond 90, and ankles arent too bad, some articulated fingers (index + rest of the three).
Most of the money probably went into engineering the faux grill/torso and some of the legs. But yeah, there's a lot that could've been better.

@gesslegonzales3692 Yes, since both hands hold 5mm weapons fine, but the figure only gives you one.

@gesslegonzales3692 Oops my bad for interpreting wrongly. Yes! He can hold the rifle in two hands.
But there is a slight issue. The handle on the Ion Blaster for whatever reason is rather short, and Prime's hands compared to his arm are a bit small. So when holding the gun with the wrist rotated at an angle, the gun barely pegs onto his hand and is easy to come off. But it's doable with other Ion Blasters, like the big one that came with the Netflix WFC weapon pack.

@osicala1 I think they're referring to the SS112 repaint I showed at the beginning. It's free if you spend $3000 HKD (approx $380 USD) at the Hasbro booth at ACGHK.
I bought the SS86 OP, Fractured Friendship pack, along with some other recent Legacy releases. Some of which I sold afterwards 🤷
