What an incredible night!
Tonight Blues played West Brom at home, live on Sky Sports, and comfortably won 2-0. Doing the double over a local rival for the first time for 13 years when we beat Wolves twice in the 09/10 season! Last time we did the double over the Albion was in the 98/99 season! Some record to beat that.
However, before the game, Blues supporters took to the late night streets to continue to demonstrate their frustration towards the club’s owners, BSHL. The scenes at the protests were some of the best I’ve seen, and that Keep Right On in the tunnel… No words. We must keep the pressure on the owners to sell, else the momentum will be lost. Whether that’s marches, I’m not sure (get the conversation going on that) but like I’ve said before, we’re all in agreement we want the owners gone, so let’s get it done, and night’s like tonight will feel ten times better.
As well, young Bobby Humphries, celebrating the completion of his brain tumour treatment, led the players out onto the pitch tonight, in the first home game since leaving the hospital. He was also star of the day. Receiving a lovely, big round of applause off all of the fans inside the stadium.
Both Hannibal Mejbri and Krystian Bielik (two Blues players who went to the World Cup too) bagged their first goals for the club. Hannibal’s freekick came while we were stood down the front with the ‘sell the club’ banner. So clever. Caught keeper, Button, off his guard giving us the early lead we needed. And Bielik’s in the second half was no more than we deserved. Free header - 2-0 - game done and dusted.
The baggies created little to no chances at all, all night. Misplaced passes, heavy touches, and an all round dreadful performance, made you wonder how on Earth they sat sixth before the night got under away!
Nonetheless, for us (Blues) it was a night to remember. Those who joined the march and stood up for what’s right should be incredibly proud of themselves, and have the right to call themselves proper Blues fans. As well as special shout out to Jack (I didn’t mention it on the vlog) who carried that banner all the way from the tavern to the ground, and even held it up inside the ground too. So well done, mate. Proud of you.
We will be back next week against Cardiff at home. Another win and that relegation battle is starting to fade away. Well done to the players tonight too. They’ve no doubt had a hard ride recently. Losing five on the bounce can never feel great, but those last two performances were like how we were playing earlier in the season. Back at it again on Tuesday night.

@Tommy Kelsall No worries mate 👍 I remember when Doncaster played Birmingham in Championship games and who could forget the relegation battle of 13/14 with Caddis sending us down against Bolton while we lost to champions Leicester City (still haven't forgiven him for that yet 😉🤣). There are so many memories. Hopefully, both our clubs will be back on the right path soon

@Tommy Kelsall Mid table in L2. 5 managers in the space of 2 seasons. We've signed about 50+ players over two seasons. When we lost against Hartlepool last weekend, it was our 55th league defeat in the last 96 games. But, we have Danny Schofield, who plays a great style of football and must be backed to the moon and back. But the fans are very much against the board's ambition for the club and the owners don't show much interest anymore. So we're in that kind of spot where we are hoping the club can change hands and move forward. Only positive from these owners is that we have little to no debt to pay, so we're a prime site for a takeover or consortium to come in.
@@Chall1 We’re definitely in the same situation mate. 55th loss in 96 games, how shit must that feel? And 5 managers in 2 seasons too, we’ve been in that position before too. Hope things turn around for you, seems like any side outside the elite are being torn apart. Super League sums it up, don’t it?

How come you cut out the part where you trying to vandalise the stadium then throwing beer cans, flares and spitting at the police? Embarrassing protest.
Didn't include the people pushing against the police, was mostly trying to keep out the way. Also they'll always be people there to just cause trouble. The majority were protesting peacefully. It went well. We did what we set out to do. Great night, wrapped up with an easy three points
