As a potemkin player, I can see months to almost a half year of getting the hammer fall brakes PERFECTLY timed for this. And it isn't because he is Japanese, I can see this guy going to an arcade for an hour or 2 just practicing the falls and the break times.
+TrainingMacro They did. His corner game is still godlike, but he cant do nearly as much anywhere else since they took out his 6K overhead and 2S vacuum.
+TrainingMacro Potemkin still has a number of notable nerfs to him. Including flat out having less defense, harsher proration on Pot Buster (you'll notice the move is pretty much absent in this video since it doesn't lead to good damage). Speaking of less damage, all his grounded H normals just do less damage now for whatever reason too. And of course 2S and heat knuckle were reverted to their older versions hurting him too.
***** If you're talking about using overdrives in combos, that's often something you don't want to be doing anyways. There are almost always better options for your meter. The main asset to doing that sort of thing is that your opponent cannot burst the damage making them good for finishing off opponents (at least some overdrives anyways). Potemkin's mirror overdrive USED to be +9 on block in addition to having a massive dizzy modifier and tons of hitstun on air hit. It was something you could kind of just throw out there for a major advantage in most situations. A counterhit mirror will nearly dizzy an opponent all by itself making it quite the potential game changer. It still does most of those things but it's neutral on block now. If you're looking for how to best spend meter on Potemkin in Xrd though, you'll probably want to be using YRCs to cancel Hammerfall faster than Hammerfall Brake to net yourself some Potemkin Busters or general pressure. If you need me to elaborate on anything there, feel free to let me know.
he isnt just using the same move over and over; hes actually cancelling them with another move that he barely has enough time to charge for. the timing is actually extremely strict, which is why this is very impressive to someone who understands it.
the move that looks like he's shoulder tackling them to the wall is deceptive. It is 6K > Hammer fall break > 6K repeat. the timing is rather strict since hammerfall is a charge move

Fear, And Loathing in Las Vegas was definitely a good choice for these clips
