Man walks into shop .....Hello, i would like to sell the story of my life Rick ....Sure , you were born in New york , in 1952 , your father drove a cab , you have one brother and an elder sister , your first job was in a law office .......
Exactly! It's funny how he says stuff like "I'm taking all the risk," "It might be sitting on the wall for a while," "I have to frame it, and pay my employees." Hahahaha.
Rick's right on this one. Customers for this are going to be few and far between. Laurel and Hardy have passed out of the public consciousness. Even when I was a kid, they were almost forgotten.
I know right at least show you care and print out the examples and make a nice reference book. Put passion in the things you do because clearly this guy is just out for ego and to make a buck.
I don't know how you could possibly have a BOOK with every signature in it. Watching enough of these, people's signatures change over time. Some people have secretaries that sign. With say a president who has multiple secretaries and a signature that changes over time (from say being Mayor to Governor to President), that could be 5 pages. Knowing who's signature you are coming to authenticate, and then loading those signatures onto a ipad or computer makes sense.
I am well known cheapskate expert in Vegas, ironing cost electricity and also time which is another word for money, based on that i would say its worth a quarter.
I agree. Those artists pretty much defined humor. Permanently. As they say in Spanish, "there's a before and an after, with these people." To this day, you can still feel their influence. And that's likely to remain forever. I mean, I'm 41 and not that much of a "vintage fan," but I can recognise timeless quality when I see it. Sometimes I feel the same about prices in this show. But you know, life's not fair. Popularity and rarity tend to define this, and you know there are many artists that are more popular out there. And of course, popularity has no intrinsinc relation with quality and significance. And I'm guessing that, if they loved their fans so much, they probably signed a ton of autographs. Thus greatly reducing rarity.
