I would suggest following the recipe that specially use the oven. But if it taste the same, then why not? Try it then. Tell me if it works!

Would be very interested in hearing the results of baking! ? The 2 dough layered pastry is genius, way simpler than puff pastry. I’m thinking served with a yogurt/apple sauce blend drizzled on top. Or beside a vanilla ice cream that was blended with apple sauce.
Many thanks for sharing your recipe. Made the apple pies and they were excellent. The pastry is light, airy and crispy, not sweet with a buttery melt in the mouth effect. It is a keeper. It is like puff pastry without the excessive butter and work. I will definitely use the pastry without sugar in it with chicken or meat fillings as well. We have some bakeries selling these here in Greece, some of them are just like these with apple filling (and icing sugar on top), some are with pastry cream filling and some with Nutella... They're really crispy and yummy, I've always wandered how is this kind of layered pastry made... Seeing how relatively easy is your recipe, I'm now so willing to try and make them!

@@stray6770 puff pastry gets even more butter. Another entire stick (or more, depending on the version) is chopped and added to the dough when you do the stretch-roll-repeat-it phase.
Great recipe, beautiful layers! Side note: Sometimes the comments on these videos do my head in. Humans, this was a great recipe but there is always a need for someone to nitpick about the smallest things… Don’t have palm sugar? Use another kind of sugar. Don’t want to fry? Figure out the temp and time to bake them. Dough is time consuming to make? Try making croissant dough; that’s an all day affair. This looked bluddy easy, in my opinion. Can’t we just respectfully appreciate the time it took to make this video and move on?🤷♀️
It's because people feel good when they can be keyboard warriors. It gives them a sense of fulfillment putting others down because their own lives are so pathetic. Not much can be done to help people like that, sadly.
I tried making this for the first time and it's good even though the final product didn't look like what you did. The problems that I saw were: 1. My 1st dough is a bit dry but I'm afraid to add more water/oil. 2. When I tried rolling the 1st and 2nd dough, the 2nd dough keeps on spilling from the sides. 3. It's also tearing apart. I'll try to make another batch though. Thanks for this wonderful recipe! 😍
I had the same problem with the dough being a bit dry. Difference also may be in the way the flour is processed from one country to the other. Also, believe it or not, the brand of butter/margarine makes a big difference too. Some has more fat or more water content. I always follow the recipes exact the first time and then figure out how or if I need to adjust the second time. I hope you tried it again! It looks like a fabulous recipe!

In Italy we have them too. We call them "sfogliatella" and they're typical of Naples, but we put various creams or nutella in it.

the reduced fat comes back in deep frying. I hope it can be baked and have similar result.

Don't be afraid to add water! Depending on humidity or lack thereof, flour can be really dry. Adding more water would help. 🙌🏽

He seguido paso a paso la receta , hice algunas de manzana , arándanos , Nutella woww!!!! Al principio he medido la temperatura del aceite , friendo solo una 😉 para poder tener la temperatura perfecta. En casa han encantado ❤️👍😘

Мастерство хозяйки заслуживает похвалы. Можно взять на вооружение, как рецепт для самсы, но, конечно, нежареной.
Но вот,что интересно - комменты на всех других, кроме русского, языках - благодарственные и хвалебные. Люди учтивые. А нам никак не угодишь... Но, если правда, рецепт - антипечень с поджелудочной, как не обратить внимание?🙄 И, ещё, если бы назвали: " Когда у вас есть яблоки и пять минут свободного времени, то сделайте это без выпечки", то простора для стеба ещё бы прибавилось😀.
