+MCKwilly Thank you, sir! I appreciate the kind words! I am not sure how I ever enjoyed this pot without the bail. Take with you again soon, my friend! -Dave
Enjoyed your discussion of the MSR Seagull Alpine Stowaway pot. Excellent. The bail idea is very innovative. I am already subscribed to John Tewelow's channel. Great guy. Thank you for sharing this series with us. Take care.
+Sleeves Thank you, Sleeves! I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the video and I appreciate the kind words! The bail makes this a whole different pot. I don't know how I lived without it..lol! Yes, John is a great guy and very knowledgable! Thank you for taking the time to watch the series and leaving your nice, encouraging words along the way! -Dave
That improvised bail is nothing short of Brilliant! I have looked at these MSR Stowaway pots at the local REI for about 4yrs now, and the only thing that prevented me from picking one up was the lack of a bail. I also figured that an improvised bail may be unstable because of the shallow depth of the pot. Your demo made it appear to be very stable, and I am stealing your friends bail trick for sure when I pick a MSR Stowaway pot up in the near future. Thanks for sharing that trick.
+WisconsinEric Thank you for watching and leaving your awesome comment, my friend! Funny you should say that because once I saw John's bail mod, I pulled the trigger on this pot right away and have loved it ever since. I thought the same thing - if it only had a bail...lol! It is very stable. The lid and contents are very easy to manipulate under the bail when hanging. Definitely add the bail once you pick one up! I am glad I could be of some assistance! -Dave
I agree it is a sweet pot. I like the bail a lot. It was very funny when you put the hobo tool in there because i have the same setup only difference is that i have a size down pot... lol Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend! All the best, Rob
+Rob's Bushcraft Thank you for watching, Rob! Sounds like you have an outstanding setup! I almost went for the one size down but the outdoor shop only had the 1.1L. You have a great weekend too, my friend! -Dave
I went to John Tewelow's channel and one of the first videos that I saw him talking about was mule tape compared to 550 cord. I watched his video and subbed him. Thank you David. Now to mention the MSR Stowaway pots and how nice they are to use... I have now gotten all four sizes and have replaced all but my slow cooker and pressure cooker for home use. They not only pack small for outdoor use but they nest together without the lids in the cupboard making tons more room. People pay much more for a kitchen pot. Why not replace the kitchen pots with these and you even feel like you are outside when at home.
Thank you for subbing John's channel, my friend! He is such a great guy and very knowledgable! I have learned a lot from him. I also appreciate your awesome comment! I was always curious if the other sized MSR pots would nest into each other nicely. Thank you for that information! I only own the 1.1L. And great points about using them for kitchen pots. What an excellent idea! Great stuff, as always, brother!
Thanks Dave, I didn't know about this one. I definitely want one the same size. You helped me out With this excellent series of cook system videos. Thank you kindly my friend.Tennessee
The MSR Seagull is a tough, affordable cook pot! I like the 1.6L, as the larger lid enables it to work as an excellent fry pan! It also holds a good amount of gear when not in use! I am glad I could help and as always, I thank you for stopping by, Jeff! -Dave
I know this is an older video, but I just watched it for the first time. Dude, I have that pot, and when you brought that makeshift bale out, I immediately paused the video and and asked my wife if we had any wire hangers while I got out my linemen cutting pliers. Thanks a lot. Would love to see you use a fish mouth spreader to make the lid into a frying pan. I don't know that trick either.
I am glad I could be of some assistance, Ryan! Thank you for the kind words! I use the MSR lid as a fry pan in several videos but this is one I can remember off hand - ruclips.net/video/unHu9OVMtw0/видео.html. Nice to hear from you, my friend! -Dave
You are one of the only vids that I have seen that got the mod the correct length that when you pick it up the pot is not at an angle. You got to get the length right for the pot to sit flat over the fire. I do not like the two piece version of the mod, but I do LOVE this pot. Just bought my second one and paired with my MSR Alpine fry pan is everything my family needs on a camping trip.
Thank you for watching and leaving your kind words, my friend! You are right, it does take some trial & error to get the mod just right. You setup sounds excellent! -Dave
for a good cleaning I recommend BarKeeper's Friend powder. A little water rinse, then apply a small amount of powder and scrub with a soft toothbrush. It will not scratch and your steel will look like new again.
I love that pot. I have multiple sizes and they have seen hard hard almost daily use for years… there is almost nothing wrong with the pots… besides some patina and scratching. Great design. Great video.
I have the complete Alpine set including the frying pan. I use them in the bush as well as for my daily cookware at home. I love them, but the 1.6L is a little sketchy to pour with. The handle tends to collapse no matter how tight I have it. I did the bail mod for the 2 biggest pots - what an enhancement. I use the Emberlit stove too. Very nice piece of gear. Cheers and thanks for the great review.
I completely agree about the tricky pouring with the 1.6L. Maybe someday I will get a smaller version, as I love the pot itself. The Emberlit is such a versatile little stove. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your very nice comment, my friend! -Dave
been debating on this cook pot for awhile, after watching you show how versatile it is I placed an order on Amazon. It's still for 15.96 for the 1.1liter. Really like the bail idea. thanks for another great video!
+Michael Alvarez Nice, Michael! I am glad to hear you picked one up and I love the price! You are going to love it, my friend and the bail is very easy to make & use! Let me know how you like it! -Dave
+Bushcraft Girl Karen Hi, Karen! Nice to hear from you, my friend! Definitely make one of those bails! It's a necessity and very easy to make! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your kind words! -Dave
Great idea with the coat hangers to make it a bail pot!! thank you very much I'm going to get right on it I got two of these pots I love them. Thanks again great video
The wife just got this pot for me tonight. Glad to see yours was the first video to pop up when I searched for reviews on it Dave. Awesome video as always! Can’t wait to use it and really glad to see the emberlit stove fits in it cuz I wouldn’t even have considers that. Brilliant sir!
Great video. I first saw this cook pot on one of Dave Canterbury's videos and was impressed by it b/c he used the fish mouth spreader to make a pan out of the lid. The added bail makes it even more versatile. Now I can't decide on which size to get, .775L or the 1.1L.😂. I'm thinking the smaller one.
I saw these at the store the other day and the lack of a bail is the reason I didn't buy it. Great idea with the coat hanger bail, I'm definitely thinking of going back and giving that a shot.
damn Dave...this is an awesome kit!!! I was hooked on the canteen cook set, but man...love the improv bail on this and versatility!!! plus so many options on size to fit ones needs and the price, geesh-what a deal!!! thx so much 4 sharing =)
+livinright Thank you, Lisa! IMHO, the MSR Seagull is #1! I love it for all of the reasons you described and the improvised bail is awesome...I don't know how I ever lived without it..lol! Thank you for watching, my friend! -Dave
I have the MSR 775 ml pot which nests my Chinese gassifier wood stove perfectly. Just received the 1.6 L pot this morning which nests the 775! They really are wonderfiul pieces of gear. Thanks for the great video.
Hi Dave. That was a good final of this series. I see you saved the best for last and I agree with you. I have such a Seagull pot and I also love it very much. Made me a bail too, as you know, and it made the pot even better. My woodgas stove fits perfectly in my pot and that have served me well a few times when I knew a big fire wasn´t an option. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
+Gullrica Hi Ulrica! Thank you for the kind words! Yes, I did save the best for last. I have also seen the MSR in some of your videos, as well. I enjoy it very much. I have the trangia & Emberlit stoves for the exact same reason...when fire isn't an option! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave such a nice comment, my friend! It's great to hear from you and I hope everything is going well. I loved your last video showing your "bushcraft cane"..lol! -Dave
HighCarbonSteel Love Thanks Dave, I am having a minor set back so I am taking it extra easy right now. :) So glad you liked my last video. Bushcraft Cane is a very good name for it! LOL. Take care out there my brother in bushcraft.
You have some nice kits ..I'm working on my cook kits ..On a budget tho ..So far I have a cold handle fry pan ,,two canteen cups and a army surplus mess kit ...great video Dave it will help me out ..
+Terry Wydick Thank you, Terry! I developed these kits with a budget in mind, as I don't have a lot of money to spend on gear, either. Sounds like you have a nice setup working for you. I am glad I could be of some assistance, my friend! -Dave
loved the series Dave! Cant wait for the next one! I remember a video were you used the lid as a fry pan and I thought it was a great idea! Your just full of helpful tips!
+Louise Gardner Thank you, Louise! I am so glad to hear you enjoyed the series! As always, my friend, I am humbled by your kind words! Talk with you again soon, Louise! -Dave
After a recent house fire where I literally lost EVERYTHING, this pot was salvaged. I managed to get my RKLodges Civil War tent from a portion of the garage that wasn't burned. The lid to this pot was not burned but the pot was in the kitchen and received the full fury of the fire. Save for discoloration, it was still in perfect working order...the lid still fit snugly. Now I am homeless for the next couple months. I use this pot DAILY to cook rice and beans in. It is actually worth its weight in gold to me. I have a canteen cup, but without this pot and lid, I'd be in even rougher condition than I am in now. I don't go hungry.
I am sorry to hear about your house fire and your current homelessness, my friend. That is terrible. I hope things look up for you soon and that is amazing to hear about your MSR pot! I knew it was dependable but your story is real life proof. Keep me posted on your situation and I wish you the best! -Dave
+gabrielle1999105 Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate that! The bail is one of my favorite things about this pot! It's great to hear from you, gabrielle, and I hope to talk with you again soon! -Dave
+Charles Larson Thank you for the kind words, Charles! I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed the series, my friend! Very nice to hear from you! -Dave
+wyattoneable It's such a good, affordable and strong cook pot, my friend! You are exactly right...provides many, many options. Thats a great word in english..lol! Thank you for stopping by, brother, its great to hear from you! -Dave
Boom! Surprise shout out, lol. Thanks brother. I love your 2 piece bail design and the way it grabs the wide flat metal tab on the handle. The lid for a frying pan is really innovative too.
+John “survivor johnny” Tewelow You are more than welcome, my friend! I got the idea years ago from one of your videos on your old boss' channel. Once you introduced the bail mod, I knew I needed this pot. The lid and construction of this cook pot is just outstanding! -Dave
+blendedbananas Thank you! Hopefully you won't need any wood advice, but I am always here to help..lol! I appreciate you taking the time to watch, as your support means a lot to me! -Dave
Thank you, Dennis! They are excellent pots and I love the price! I think mine is actually the large version, as opposed to the medium. Always a pleasure to hear from you, my friend! -Dave
+MTwoodsrunner You are exactly right about John, my friend! He is great and very knowledgable! Thank you for taking the time to watch the series, woods, and I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed it! Thank you for all of your support and the kind, encouraging words you provide! -Dave
You're killing me with the Seagull....if I don't get one on Dec. 25th....I'll be ordering on the night of Dec. 25th. ha ha ha Good video David. The bandana is that 22x22? Keep making quality videos.
+Jonathan Zook I am hoping you get one on the 25th, but if not, you'll have it in no-time! You are going to enjoy it, very much! The bandana is just standard size for $1 from walmart. Thank you for the kind words, Jonathan! -Dave
Jonathan Zook That's so great the hear Jonathan! You are going to love the Seagull in the field! A big plus is that you can also use the lid as a small fry pan, which I have shown in a couple of videos. Such a versatile piece of gear. Keep me updated on how you are liking it, my friend! -Dave
Definitely make one, Travis! It's like night and day being able to hang this pot over the fire! Let me know how your bail works out for you, my friend! -Dave
+Eclectic Bushcraft - Woodcraft Thank you for taking the time to watch the series! I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed it! I really appreciate the kind words and hope to talk with you again soon! -Dave
I agree, that is a great cook pot....I love the Storage capacity of it. hahaha...that is Awesome cook pot wire Bail...love it ...gonna try this idea on all my cook sets now..thanks for sharing this....If you loose your bail wire, I am sure you could use cordage as a replacement ?? Cheers ;-)
+Kanzee Thank you for the kind words and leaving your awesome comment, my friend! I appreciate that! I could always use cordage, however, it doesn't fit as nicely as the coat hanger bail. Should I lose them, I would just take another coat hanger and make another set. -Dave
Great series! The Tomshoo wood gas stove $30 and Canway wood gas stove $20 both fit in the 1.1 MSR seagull as well. the thing i like about the tomshoo is my alcohol stove would drop right inside if i can't have a fire but it comes with a spirit burner tray that you can also use to burn solid fuel tabs. look up tomshoo on youtube there is an irishman named mike that does a good review of it but nobody has actually demonstrated it with an alcohol stove. i guess it burns pellets really well. someone like you would do a really good full review of it and i'd like to see that happen. ps. you convinced me to get the seagull. thanks!
I have used the lid as a frying pan many times and it works great! I have several videos on it and I found a couple of them below:ruclips.net/video/unHu9OVMtw0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Aj2DROXljg8/видео.html Thank you for taking the time to stop by, my friend! -Dave
+Karla Tiller-Barclay Thank you for watching my videos, Karla! I always appreciate you kind, encouraging words and support! Its great to hear from you! -Dave

+Kentucky Woodsman Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate you taking the time to watch, my friend! MSR does make some excellent gear and I love the gear storing aspect of these MSR seagulls! -Dave
+BBGS Bob Shields Thank you for taking the time to watch the series and leave your kind words, Bob! I really appreciate your support and encouragement, my friend! -Dave
+Turtle Bushcraft Thank you, John! I appreciate you watching the series and leaving your kind words! You will love the MSR and they also offer them in different sizes. -Dave
I was looking on line and see they have a large range of sizes. I think I might try the little one for my day hike pack. atb and thanks a gain for a great Series
+Ethan Beiswanger Thank you for the kind words, Ethan! This pot has been rock solid and versatile for me for years! It's also very affordable, as this 1.1L is right around $20! You would love it, my friend! -Dave
+Ethan Beiswanger I own the 1.1L and purchased mine from Gander Mountain but you can also get it here for less than I paid - www.amazon.com/MSR-Alpine-Stowaway-Pot-1-1-Liter/dp/B000FBSZGU?ie=UTF8&keywords=msr%20seagull%201.1l&qid=1463894776&ref_=sr_1_fkmr1_1&sr=8-1-fkmr1. -Dave
Dave Thanks for showing this setup. The bail is cool...I am subbed to John, but sadly have not checked out his videos. I know if I will go check him out. Thanks for the tip about his channel. I have been wanting to add a stove to my kit for those times when a full fire is not needed.. I have seen many stoves, from budget to high end, and so I am a bit unsure of what I want/need. I am looking for something moderate price yet functional. I have seen some cheaper ones that were pretty flimsy, or warped easy. I have also seen high end stoves that I could not see what made them different from a moderate priced stove. I am going to go check out your review of this stove. Thanks for the review of this Pot, As always. I wish you ATB, Lee
+Lee Ralph (Pathway to Self Reliance) Thank you for watching, Lee! You will enjoy John's videos! The Emberlit stove is great and I've been carrying it for quite some time. Ive used it for cooking, used it for a wind screen/stand for the trangia, and have used it for a small, contained campfire when a large on wasn't possible. So many uses! -Dave
Very concise review as are your other videos. However I do want to point out that you mentioned that it's a 1.1, I think your's is actually a 1.6 because the Emberlit UL measures a tad under 7.5 in and a 1.6 is 7.5 in diameter and the 1.1 is 6.6 in diameter according to REI's web site. I have a 1.1 and my Emberlit UL will not fit, so yours has to be the 1.6. I looked closely and I think your Emberlit is the UL and not the Fireant as well.
I might be the 1.6L. It's been years since I purchased it but I thought I remembered it being the 1.1L. It measures exactly 7" across and about 3" deep. My Emberlit is not the UL, nor the Fireant. Its the original stainless Emberlit model. I've owned it for quite a few years. Thank you for watching! -Dave
+HighCarbonSteel Love volume can be calculated as V = π r² h, or volume equals pi times the radius squared times height. radius is 3.5". 3.5² is 12.25. 3.14 x 12.25 x 3 = 115.395 cubic inches, which is 1.89 liters. cheers!
+ItsToyTimeNow Thank you, my friend! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave such a nice, encouraging comment! It's great to hear from you and I hope to talk with you again soon! -Dave
Hi Dave, this is a great series of videos you've made on cook sets. It's extremely informative and I've learned a lot . I'm currently putting together cookset and I'm very interested in the MSR pot . I was wondering if you can tell me if you've ever had an experience trying to boil water in this pot in order to make a quick cup of tea or such. How difficult it is to pour water from this large pot into a smaller cup? Since there is no spout on the spot , it appears that it may be difficult and that's my only hesitation in buying this pot . I drink a lot of tea, LOL. Thank you for all your informative videos and keep up the great work .
Hello, there, my friend! Thank you for such kind words and I am glad I could be of some assistance. The MSR pots are great! Personally, I have never had a problem with pouring coffee into a cup from the 1.1L MSR pot and now that you've mentioned it, I will do it in an upcoming video. Much of the time, I will use the improvised bail that I made to assist in the pouring. If it seems like it may be a problem with this MSR pot, they also sell smaller sizes than the 1.1L that I have here that may work even better for pouring. You are right, there is no spout, however, a slow, steady pour is the key. Stay tuned, brother. Very good thoughts and questions! -Dave
+Jeremy Blake Thank you for watching the series, Jeremy! This Emberllit stove is the stainless steel version. You can find a link in the description. Thank you for the kind words! -Dave
+NorwegianWoods The MSR is great, my friend! I do not find it heavy, at all, but someone who likes only "ultralight" type gear might. I am very fond of carrying extra weight, as I love the added exercise. Thank you for watching, Martin! -Dave
I agree with the exercise thing to a certain degree. I see a lot of people liking this pot. So I will probably get one my self in the future. Thanks :)
NorwegianWoods You will love it, my friend! This is the 1.1 liter but they also offer smaller sizes that you might like and feel might work out better for you, my friend! They are also a bit cheaper! -Dave
How wide does your stove pack to? I have a foldable stove that is thin enough to fit within the MSR pot, but I do not want to buy the 1.6L. It measures 4.6"x 3.75"x1" (Length, width, height) - do you think it would fit within the 1.1L MSR pot?
+BoomBoomChicky I will check it out and let you know, my friend! I think it should fit in the 1.1L. Thank you for watching and leaving your great question! -Dave
Johnny tulo. Is that how you spell his name I tried to look it up I don't think so though could you please post the name of his website or RUclips channel please thank you
I'm wondering on storing your Emberlit wood stove inside your MSR/Seagull Alpine Stowaway cook pot. I have the MSR/Seagull 1.1L Alpine Stowaway cook pot and the my Emberlit Original stainless steel wood stove won't fit inside. Is your Emberit wood stove the Original or the Fire Ant model?
I was mistaken in the video. This is not the 1.1, it's actually the next size up. I purchased it so long ago I had forgotten the size..lol! The Emberlit is the original stainless. Thank you for watching and I apologize for the confusion, my friend! -Dave
Thank you for the reply Dave, your video made me decide to get the MSR/Seagull 1.1L Stowaway pot due to the Emberlit wood stove fitting inside the pot. When I got the pot, I was wondering that it looked smaller compared to the video so I thought I maybe the Emberlit was the Fire Ant model. Anyways, I still can use my 1.1L pot for solo camps, and I'll gent the 1.6L later for camping with the wifey. Thanks again and looking forward to more videos. More power my friend! :D By the way, love the bail mod video.
Tris Varsovia I am sorry about that, my friend! I had just purchased it so long ago that I didn't remember the size! Glad you can still enjoy it and that you'll be getting the larger size in the future! Nice talking with you, my friend! -Dave
Thank you for watching! On the bottom under the bandana of gear is the Emberlit Stove. Nice little stove - ruclips.net/video/ZSf9eLERhB8/видео.html. -Dave
+Jennykey _160 Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your very nice comment! I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the video and I appreciate the kind words! -Dave
+Danish & Aniko I am glad you found my channel again, my friends! RUclips does that to me all the time. Thank you for the kind words and it's great to have you back! -Dave
cool mod you can use the lid as a fry pan open the handle put on as it would be closed put a wier in the tops handle set on rock put oil fork spoon in the pot as a weight your wife going have pealing spuds for weeks
This is my Favorite as well, I keep my Fire/Cook kit inside it, I have the pathfinder pot as well, don't like the non locking lid, harder to keep stuff in it. (MSR 1.6 www.amazon.com/MSR-321109-P-Alpine-Stowaway-Pot/dp/B000FBWSRW?th=1&psc=1 )
I like both this one and the Pathfinder bush pot and the MSR definitely has its advantages! My favorite part is being able to use the lid as a small fry pan! Thank you for watching and don't be a stranger, my friend! -Dave
Yes have not used the Lid that way but saw it done and it is one the reasons I like it, a thought I had is to Find someone to weld 4 little legs or some sort of Stand that doesn't bother the locking lid or access to the Clip for Fishmouth Spreader Handle. I really like to see Videos where people Upgrade there gear so it can do more.

Yeah if you don't mind making another couple videos I'd like to see it cook a grilled cheese on that lid. And also it's pretty self-explanatory but the bail hooks would be cool too! nice! the coat hanger 'hanger' is genius idea, good one capn Dave !
+MCKwilly Thank you, sir! I appreciate the kind words! I am not sure how I ever enjoyed this pot without the bail. Take with you again soon, my friend! -Dave

I agree it is a sweet pot. I like the bail a lot.
It was very funny when you put the hobo tool in there because i have the same setup only difference is that i have a size down pot... lol
Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend!
All the best, Rob
+Rob's Bushcraft Thank you for watching, Rob! Sounds like you have an outstanding setup! I almost went for the one size down but the outdoor shop only had the 1.1L. You have a great weekend too, my friend! -Dave

Yes a great piece of gear allright !!!
Looks like could do with a rub with Scotch bright or Wire wool !!
You travel with a well prepared kit . Cheers Patrick
-Dave
Wow, great video! I like the coat hanger idea. I have one of these on order and I can't wait to make that bale setup
That's cool! I just wish to go out in the nature one of these days!
been debating on this cook pot for awhile, after watching you show how versatile it is I placed an order on Amazon.
-Dave
My MSR Seagull Alpine Stowaway pot is my favorite too! Nice bail, I think I will make one too, thanks for sharing! Great vid!
Great to hear from you, my friend! I appreciate the kind words and you are going to love using this cook pot! One of my favorites! -Dave
Great series Dave, well done!!! Very thurough , I think I should use my M.S.R. pot more often!!!! Off to make my bail!!! Thanks Dave!!!!
+joesneon Thank you, Joe! Thank you for the kind words, my friend! I great to hear from you, sir, and I appreciate you stopping by! -Dave
Sounds like an excellent setup you have there, William! Thats great that the pots nest so nicely! Thank you for watching, my friend! -Dave
Nice video. I've had one of these since 2010. Great piece of kit. No problems. No complaints.
+illbilly Very well said, my friend! Very tough and durable! Thank you for watching! -Dave
Gullrica I am sorry to hear about that, Urlica. Take is easy over there, my friend and I will talk with you again soon! -Dave
-Dave
your welcome Dave! See you in your next one!
thank you so much for this great video . i like how you explain with passion .
-Dave
Awesome video! Very cool bail set up on that cookware!! Thanks for sharing!
+gabrielle1999105 Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate that! The bail is one of my favorite things about this pot! It's great to hear from you, gabrielle, and I hope to talk with you again soon! -Dave
Very complete setup Dave. Really like that bail!! I enjoyed this series a lot!
+Charles Larson Thank you for the kind words, Charles! I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed the series, my friend! Very nice to hear from you! -Dave
I can see why this cook set is your favorite. It provides many options and that's my favorite word in the English language.
-Dave
Omg!l IF I ever need advice on what I need to do in roughing it out in the woods... I know who to come to! ;) Good for you!
+blendedbananas Thank you! Hopefully you won't need any wood advice, but I am always here to help..lol! I appreciate you taking the time to watch, as your support means a lot to me! -Dave
Nice review. I love those pots. I have 3 of them Lg. med. and small. They are well made and very affordable. Thanks for the video I enjoyed watching.
Thank you, Dennis! They are excellent pots and I love the price! I think mine is actually the large version, as opposed to the medium. Always a pleasure to hear from you, my friend! -Dave
Johns a good amigo!
very clever bail for the msr...enjoyed the short series David...taker easy, but taker!...woods
25th. ha ha ha
Good video David.
-Dave
Thanks for another great video. I think I need to get that pot and make that bail set up too!
+John Kania Thanks, John! You would love the MSR!

-Dave
very nice ,i like the bail you made
+phyllis milky Thank you, phyllis! I appreciate the very nice words, my friend! -Dave
So cool. Ty
Great series! The Tomshoo wood gas stove $30 and Canway wood gas stove $20 both fit in the 1.1 MSR seagull as well. the thing i like about the tomshoo is my alcohol stove would drop right inside if i can't have a fire but it comes with a spirit burner tray that you can also use to burn solid fuel tabs. look up tomshoo on youtube there is an irishman named mike that does a good review of it but nobody has actually demonstrated it with an alcohol stove. i guess it burns pellets really well. someone like you would do a really good full review of it and i'd like to see that happen. ps. you convinced me to get the seagull. thanks!
Thank-you for posting this. I've been checking out pots lately, I think I'll go with this one.
+dg davis Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your nice comment! You will love this pot! I highly recommend it! -Dave
Have you used the lid as a frying pan? If so, any video on that? Thanks!
I have used the lid as a frying pan many times and it works great! I have several videos on it and I found a couple of them below:ruclips.net/video/unHu9OVMtw0/видео.html

Nice review! And your video is very informative.I might have to get the pot now
+Ethan Beiswanger Thank you for the kind words, Ethan! This pot has been rock solid and versatile for me for years! It's also very affordable, as this 1.1L is right around $20! You would love it, my friend! -Dave
Ok.I will start looking around for it
+Ethan Beiswanger I own the 1.1L and purchased mine from Gander Mountain but you can also get it here for less than I paid - www.amazon.com/MSR-Alpine-Stowaway-Pot-1-1-Liter/dp/B000FBSZGU?ie=UTF8&keywords=msr%20seagull%201.1l&qid=1463894776&ref_=sr_1_fkmr1_1&sr=8-1-fkmr1.
Thanks for the review of this Pot,
As always.
-Dave
Great 3rd episode........I love that msr mod its awesome.........cheers man 👍
+Tony Eden Thank you, brother! The mod makes the MSR a whole different pot! Nice to hear from you, Tony!
-Dave
+HighCarbonSteel Love
volume can be calculated as V = π r² h, or volume equals pi times the radius squared times height.
radius is 3.5". 3.5² is 12.25.
3.14 x 12.25 x 3 = 115.395 cubic inches, which is 1.89 liters.
cheers!
Great job my friend :) awesome video!
-Dave
Nice Video like parts 1 & 2 also. Which Emberlit stove are using in the Seagull?
+Jeremy Blake Thank you for watching the series, Jeremy! This Emberllit stove is the stainless steel version. You can find a link in the description. Thank you for the kind words! -Dave
That MSR pot looks really nice. Do you find it heavy?
- Martin
-Dave
Nice vid sir. I have a Stowaway pot and love it!---Craig
+MrWaymanc Thank you, sir! I really appreciate the kind words! The MSR is such an awesome, versatile cook pot!
-Dave
I love my m s r pot as well I will have to make a bail like yours great vid a t b Andrew
+Andrew Simpson Yes, definitely make one of those bails! It's an excellent, mandatory addition! Thank you for watching, Andrew! -Dave
Great video. I was hoping for a VS video. Thanks a lot.
+Ando Martinez Thank you for taking the time to watch, Ando! I appreciate the kind words! Pardon my ignorance, but was is a VS video? -Dave

+anthony southflorida proper Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your very nice comment, my friend! -Dave
-Dave
What did you have in the bottom of the last cook pot ?
Thank you for watching! On the bottom under the bandana of gear is the Emberlit Stove. Nice little stove - ruclips.net/video/ZSf9eLERhB8/видео.html. -Dave
I'll buy 10 of these if they make a titanium version of this.
I just bought the 1.6 liter unit. Thanks
Thats great to hear! How are you liking it? Thank you for taking the time to stop by! -Dave

:) Great
+Marcel Klein Thank you, Marcel! I really appreciate that, my friend! -Dave
I really like to see Videos where people Upgrade there gear so it can do more.
thumb up
+big dude Thank you, my friend! -Dave

Yeah if you don't mind making another couple videos I'd like to see it cook a grilled cheese on that lid. And also it's pretty self-explanatory but the bail hooks would be cool too!
