Her twin sister could have become jealous of Gisele's success in the fashion industry, being the highest paid model for over a decade, and making off large amounts of money from her physical looks alone, which bizarrely her twin could have also been a model, but she didn't, I guess because she was shorter and didn't have the exact face for it, despite both being twins. In a way, this could reinforce insecurities and self-loathing, to the point she is convinced she is the uglier twin, but seeing how supportive she is of Gisele, and how healthy their sisterly bond is, it shows she has a great foundation and self-worth. That is the highest form of beauty one can radiate.

They just went their seperate ways like two grown adults.
