In MW2 when you have to defend the Washington Monument evac site with the .50 cal and the Jav, if you do nothing you can actually hear the call for help become more frantic and desperate until they get overrun by Russian forces. Its actually gut wrenching. The part that always gets me the most is when the Officer on the radio calls out that civilians are picking up weapons in an attempt to assist but aren't trained to handle that sort of thing, all while you can hear screaming and crying in the background. Until eventually the Officer declares the evac site has fallen and you hear civilians being executed while the radio op pulls out his pistol before the transmission suddenly cuts out.

Idk if anyone else noticed, because I JUST noticed, but at 5:37, you can see prices face and its DEVASTATED! Looking at the body of one of his closest friends, feeling like he failed to keep him alive, after being set tf up, knowing he has to walk away, all he wants to do is just mourn, with his eyes looking wider and watery.
The only thing that bring him back is a hail of bullets ripping through the building, but he's not concerned with that.
At 5:40 that's not a man whose ready to fight. Thats a man ready to murder someone. Specifically you. Yuri is supposed to be standing a little more to the left, which is why it looks like Price is staring past you, but its supposed to be directed at Yuri, and the player. You did this.
So what does he do? Beats you down the freaking stairs the second he could, waiting for you to tell him one little lie, so he can justify putting a bullet through you... the man he blames for Soaps death, a man who is at that moment an in inadvertent extension of Makarov.

It's still crazy to me be the end of the mw trilogy that the middle east was nuked, America was nuked, most of western Europe was gassed and countless are dead
But makarovs dead and everything is good now

I mean, with him dead, as slow and painful as it'll be, a healing process can begin. Look at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they're thriving cities today, the area between Russia and Western Europe is probably cordoned off as well as it can be until the poison in the air eventually dissipates, after years or maybe even decades. The Ultranationalist group would likely go the way of Menendez's goons in BO2 on a much smaller scale, Russia and its allies would be brought the Hague, and probably restricted in the same way Germany was after WW2

0:25 i played mw2 for the first time when i was like 8 or 9, about a week or 2 before i had got the game. my dad and i watched "We Were Soldiers" and if you have seen the movie you know all about the broken arrow scene. as a kid it was scary as shit seeing that and not exactly comprehending its not "real". but knowing that it was all based off real things that happened to real people. when i played that mission and heard them yelling broken arrow i knew things were bad

On that MW2 mission "Of Their Own Accord" alone, you can make a compilation there. What I really remember in that mission before the heli that you're on get hit for the first time, there's a radio chatter about another heli but carrying civilians that was hit. ".....Civilian transport, going down."

One of the saddest ones might be in Of Their Own Accord. If you take too long to complete it you can hear how the battle is starting to turn in favour of the Russians, to the point that the evac site is being overrun and civilians taking shelter there are taking up arms in desperation, with the final transmission being Russian soldiers entering the site and killing the radio operator at which point it goes silent and you fail the mission.

Not dialogue, but I think one of the saddest but weirdly reassuring moments comes from Eye Of The Storm. You go from hopelessness with Tanks gunning down resistance fighters and then to comfort by taking refuge in the church.

Imo the old mw campaigns were batshit insane but that's what made them fun, they're games after all. New MW reboot campaigns try to be in the "grey morale" zone but just end up as stupid as the old ones but without all the fun stuff.

What's sad is I'm probably the biggest 141 fan alive because literally no one else realises that Griffith, a member of the team all the way back in COD 4, a man who is with you from the FIRST MISSION, dies in the underground after your truck crashes. You and burns survive but Griffith unfortunately is DOI.
