Two takeaways: One, if you use snares, pull them up every two minutes. Two, don't use snares.
Completely agree. A casting net would have caught more of them. I'm in BC, and crab snares are illegal here - I wonder how often the crab just drops a leg to get away.

Very interesting to watch. The only thing I can recommend is when you are ready to bring it up, give a quick jerk to close the snares around the legs, so many fell off on the way up. Which brand of action camera do you use? Great video, thanks for sharing.

I prefer a Crab Hawk type device, but can see how mounting a GoPro is actually feasible on a snare trap. Good footage 👍
Great video PK! Love watching the crabs go crazy lol. I'll see if I can help you design a better GoPro rig, the stick in the middle may be getting in the way of some of the loops. I have some ideas I'll send your way bro.
