Great playing all round, and what a pleasure to see Steve Howe play that very familiar solo. I came of age listening to Yes. When I saw them live, only then did I realize that many of the fantastic sounds on their albums were actually Steve Howes guitar playing instead of a synthesizer.
I enjoy a lot listen this fragment of t History of rock. The mix guitar solos is amazing. They have all groove. I wish listen the entire jam with Steve Howe some day
Mr P seems kind of happy. I heard he -- at least at one time -- wanted to think of DT as the Metal Yes. IMO, one thing that prog metal misses is dynamics: fast/slow, loud/quiet, simple/complex; with a single song and between songs. I've never heard any other group master that better than Yes. Queen is their only equal in that regard, and they have a more eclectic variety of songs. Best contrast ever: "Death on Two Legs" into "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon." But the more I listen to DT, the more I like them. Especially since Rush walked away from the days of "epic" songs. That's a paraphrase from Alex. It's always great to have a whole new, large, discography to look forward too. I love their covers; they really love their influences.
This is fab and Steve is amazing, but i do think this version of Wurm misses Chris Squires base, and the slower build up to that explosive Steve solo... Love it though !
I dont know it sounds more dynamic when Yes does it. Yessongs is way more intense. This is ok but just kind of goes along, nothing jumps out at you like from Yessongs.
Sorry, but Alan white played this song infinitely better than bruford. The original version is underwhelming and Alan perfected it. Portnoy is playing his best approximation of what he can remember of würm in the haze of his memory. Who cares
Seeing steve howe play with dream theater is the best thing I've ever seen
JUST LEARNED ABOUT THIS!
steve howe is a legend
The Great Steve Howe. Definitely one of the greatest guitar players...
Yep voted best overall many times.
Of course

Ol' Steve was in some pretty stout company, but he still made me proud! My favorite guitarist ever.
On the wrong day - he makes me feel like tossing my guitar in the dumpster. What a guitar genius he is !
This is so Epic!!! GOD Bless You Dream Theater and Steve Howe!❤️
One of the best things I have ever seen.
EVER.
Discovering these recordings... The Thrill is Back!! Thank You Steve!!!!!
My two favourite band / guitarists on the same stage. 😊
best Chord Progression in the Annals of Prog Rock
Have you ever listened to the song Nether Street by Bodast? They did it first. Of course it helped that Steve Howe was in the band.

And Yes, that's Steve Howe
The drums have a void that only Bull Bruford can fill ...
*cough* Alan white is better for yes than bill *cough*
@@hpatss4966 loool
@@hpatss4966 I dont know how people can even dare to compare them
I wish there was a full video of Steve playing with them.
I wish there was a 10 hour wurm solo
Maravilloso!!
Steve Howe a virtuoso very very underrated
Virtuoso? Not in this video. Here he plays like my granma
Wow, this is super cool. It's 1995? Holy shit!

Steve is the best.
Definitely The Best Overall Guitarist Of All Time
GRANDIOSO!!! STEVE HOWE & CO
John is a really good guitarist, but Steve's choice of notes and unique and interesting melodies in his soloing are so interesting!
These guys... Steve Howe, one of the greatest of his generation.
Master Steve Howe! Genius!!
Epic.

That really explains why I find a decent amount of prog metal rather not my taste

Hadn’t seen this before. Fuckin dope.
You hit the jackpot, guys 😁🤣🤣
Good to see the son of God on drums
Ah jaa

Oh dear! He shook hands with the Master at the end!

Yeah right, James.
God Steve is the best
Steve looks like billy Bob Thornton albeit with a long hair and a ponytail
A TRIP TO HEAVEN THANKS STEVE HOWE AND DREAM THEATER
Derek Sherinian and Steve Howe!!! Wow!!! When Derek was kicked out of Dream Theatre, I lost interest in that band sorry.
Anyway Portnoy didn't fit very well with Yes. A drum pattern like Wurm it is easy, Bruford the only one who can play this.... Sorry
That's just silly nostalgic talking
@@javila6341 this is just impact drums talk, you have to feel it fully while you are playing it
