Lots of great ideas but, as a woman, I'm thinking that many of these would be items in my handbag and most thieves would just take the whole thing. You've definitely got me thinking more creatively, though.

Excellent ideas. I'm a travel agent and am always looking for ways to help my clients (showing them it's better to book through me than over the internet). You are great -- pleasant and wise! Thank you.
I've traveled quite a bit. Best solution. Keep a wad of one dollar bills with a ten bill wrapped around with cheap money clip for about 20 bucks total. If at knifepoint, just give to thief, and he runs seeing a wad of cash. Money belt, money in shoe, money in socks is the best. Now there are waterproof pouches you can wear on your body so your stuff doesn't get sweaty. All of these gadgets are too loose, and if not bound to your body, you are at a disadvantage.
My grandmother used to hide money like this. We never knew it until she died and then started finding cash in the oddest places. Then we ended up having to go through every single thing when we were cleaning out her house. It took a year and a half of free time just to go through everything so meticulously. Ended up finding many thousands worth of hidden money but it was a major job and we inevitably must have missed some. If I get to be this way I plan to leave a treasure map along with my will so my children don't have to go through all that hunting.
That's funny! Now I want to do that, Blanca! But, instead of a treasure map, I think I'll write a bunch of *Hints and Riddles!* That oughtta keep my family cursing my name, for years! Ahh...What a fantastic legacy...
@Blanca W did your grandmother suffer from dementia by any chance? My grandmother kept hiding money like yours but then she would forget where she put it and accuse us stealing it. The whole reason she was hiding money because she believed we were going to take it from her. Hiding things can go too far: my friend got me totally paranoid about my landlady's family members (she doesn't know how to use a computer) stealing my laptop while I was away, so I hid the battery and the charger when I went abroad. The problem was that I ended up being away much longer than I expected and by the time I got back I had no clue where I had put the parts. I felt such a fool! Adding to that, my landlady had started renovate the place so I had workmen coming in and out of my apartment for nearly two months... I told my self that it must have been the workmen stealing the battery and charger but logic won in the end: what would anyone want to do with them without the laptop itself? My laptop not being a standard model, I had to search hard and pay a premium for replacements.... It was only two years later when I was having an overhaul in my office, going through archives, that I found the laptop parts as well as cycling gloves and glasses under some papers.
You bet, I have done that, I was throwing my wallet in the garbage and when I tossed it I felt something move, found a 20 dollar bill I hid. also hid money in the basement bathroom ceiling and fortunately I was installing a light and when I cut a hole coins started dropping out. don't hide money, put it in the bank or spend it. PS this was on the news two days ago, someone donated stuff to a church resale shop and fortunately a honest employee was going through the stuff and found five envelopes wrapped in tin foil with 48 thousand dollars in them. the relatives of the people who were deceased got it back.

Most people are honest and wouldn't steal any money or other valuables, but in my experience, I've found that toothpaste, chap stick, soap, shampoo, etc etc, seem to almost always be "fair game". I've stayed in several hostels and hotels over the last few years and, I've yet to have cash or valuables stolen, I have, however, "misplaced" tons of toiletries. I will say these are good ideas though. Usually anyone looking through your stuff in a hostel or hotel, is going to do a quick search and grab for what's obvious, and on to the next bag. So, you have a decent chance to keep some cash hidden, if you have several places. Inside your shoe or sock, is indeed a really good place. Also, the lining of your suitcase or backpack. I usually try to split my extra money into several different places, as well. Common sense to reduce the chances, patience and the ability to let it not ruin your vacation, if it happens.

There were some really great ideas in there. The shoe one had me worried. If you're wearing name brand expensive shoes someone may want to steal those. I've heard of it happening. Thanks for the ideas.
I am thinking some of these might result in TSA doing a bag search when the X-ray shows an anomaly in some of these. Like maybe the money stashed in soap or floss container.
Very clever! Having $100 bill stashed like that would be a lifesaver. Or even a couple of hundred in a few places...what a difference that money would make in an emergency situation.
The only issue I see with a few of these methods for travel is that a lot of currency exchanges won't accept money that's been crumpled or creased many times like this.
"And, by using all of these tips, I guarantee your money will not be stolen. You may forget where you put it or inadvertently throw it away, but it WILL NOT be stolen. "
That has happened to me. A few years ago when I was cleaning out my closet I found $350 that I had forgotten about. Makes me wonder if I have forgotten about cash before and thrown it or given it away.
This is good for people who are in the nursing homes. I would weekly leave my Grandad a little cash so he could buy stuff out of vending machine, I figured it's nice just knowing that you have a little money on hand, but every week someone would steal what he didn't use of it. I figured it was a worker that knew exactly when he was sleeping or bathing or in the bathroom. Now I've got a plan if or when my parents are there.
I traveled for work for 30 years, spending 250 nights per year in hotels. I always made a conspicuous pile of dirty laundry on the floor of the closet, with underwear on top. My money was in a ziplock bag underneath. Never had a loss. I did this when flying too, going home for the weekend with dirty clothes, arrogant TSA agent says, "Sir, I need to check your bag." I say, "go right ahead its just 2 weeks of dirty underwear and socks". Nobody EVER dug thru my bag, they would zip it open, look inside for 2 seconds, then zip it back up. If it wasn't x-rayed too, I could have had 5 handguns in there with ammo.
Make it stinkier with workout clothes , wet smelly socks , get some pee in your underwear all in a laundry bag - no one gets paid enough to get a whif of it. Or even look at it. Even the crooks in hotels won’t look at it.
Yes just put some wet coffee grounds or use either a small dark brown marker or dark brown shoes polish but just a tad here & there so that it won't look so suspicious.
I liked the hairbrush one as it looked like you could put a not of bills inside. Food/gum type items I wouldn't use as a thief could just take the whole thing to eat on the run and find your money.
Hair brush: Get some sheet lead from Home Depot roofing section. Cut it to make a liner. Use to hide drugs, knife or explosives. X-ray proof. JK don't try this at home!
These are brilliant ideas! I lost a lot of money in Sicily when our airbnb was ransacked and all my (weak) hiding places were easily discovered and robbed. Never again!
That's what my fear too! How do we remember such tiny details where we have to remember and care for so many things while traveling!?!? And even if I try to remember , some from my family may throw away the item when my hidden money is kept! OH NO!!!!!!
most of the time your whole bag gets lost or stolen so you will end up losing more money. You are better off keeping a dummy wallet (a second wallet) with a little money and some old expired cards inside. Give that to a robber.
Studied some case law where landlords clean up trash tenants leave & then the tenant sues the landlord for tossing the dirty diaper. Case law claiming "diamond in the diaper".
I am living in a third world country and was robbed a couple of years ago in a jungle area. They did not even think about my ugly dirty athletic shoes where I had $200. stashed. They got my backpack, a hand fan, a bottle of water and a cheap camera. I purposely dress poorly and wear no jewelry when I'm out away from town. These are some good ideas. Many are good for keeping cash at home where it is unlikely to be found when your home is broken into while away on a trek through the jungle.
Carl Houston nice to do this all the time with my money and my weed and many times I lost it forgetting where the hell it was because I smoke too much of the weed
For the soap one to make it less suspicious you should make a little indent at the other side of the soap to make it look like it was part of the design
I've used similar techniques when I know I'm traveling through or to countries with sketchy law enforcement. I knew which soap had money by splitting the bar, carving out a storage bin, and then notch both sides to put a rope. Wet the two faces, and fill the rope hole. "Those stupid Americans, soap on a rope?" As I pass by with a couple years of his salary...
(One) don't carry cash (two) if you do carry unpack all your cash before going thru customs, if they find you are hiding stuff they will wonder what else you are hiding. Write off couple hours. I have traveled the world and never carried cash (three) never share your security secrets on line.
Many of the comments about this are really funny, but seriously, these are excellent ideas that I can use when I travel. I don't want to carry all the cash I have on me, but I don't want to leave it exposed in the hotel room. These suggestions are good places to hide money in my belongings, so I can leave cash in the hotel room without worrying about it getting stolen. Thanks!
My friend stepped out of his car & a guy with a knife demanded all his money. My friend reached into his clothes to get his wallet, but pulled out his .45 instead. He demanded the robber give him all his money. He also demanded that the robber give him his knife & ALL his clothes. He then went on to his destination, ditched the clothes along the way, & lived happily ever after.
Hah, pretty clever. You're right, normal people like myself would never even think of looking in any of these places. Not all of them were ideal, but all were clever! Thanks. 👍
Very clever. So clever, in fact, that it's incredibly easy for someone (even you) to find these items complete with money, and throw them away thinking, "I don't need this crap anymore." My wife, for example, had a couple of those fake aerosol cans that had lids that screwed off exposing a "safe" hiding place inside for valuables. Unfortunately, the cleaning lady discovered these items and, when she found that they no longer dispensed cleaning products, threw them away, along with my wife's expensive jewelry.
so i was in some guys bathroom and i used his toothpaste. To my surprise as i rolled it up i found some money. I was so exited i almost forgot to floss good thing i didn't because i found money there to. All the excitement made my lips dry out so i grabbed a chap stick that was sitting there and put it in my pocket. i saw a dirty diaper on the counter. as i throw it away money fell out. when i went to wash my hands i dropped the soap on the floor. It shattered and reveled it was full of money. feeling like i wasn't clean i decided to have a shower. The the body wash wasn't coming out fast enough so i took of the lid and found even more money.when i got out i brushed my hair with a brush that was sitting near the sink. The rubber come out when i used it and some more money fell to the ground.when i left the bathroom i felt like i had such good luck i should play poker luckily there was a pack of cards on a table. And next to the playing cards was my favorite brand of gum so i took that too. as i left i tripped over a shoe knocking the old soul out.when i put it back in i saw even more money in the shoe. i just could not believe it so i decide to take a pen to write it all down with.
From now on, just for fun, I will leave a real dirty diaper somewhere and will check with a hidden camera the reaction of the thieves when they find the brown treasure :-)
Also, if the cleaning people clean your room daily, leave a tip on the table, the majority will take the tip and more often than not, won't go through your belongings because you're thanking them for service.
Wow, amazing ideas! #9 even seems like an awesome gift idea with a little more effort to make sure to fill the entire hole with soap and mold it back closed. How cool would it be to find $100 while taking a bath/shower?
James Zawacki it's too easy for someone to accidental throw the diaper away. The other things all too much work and too easy to lose since they are small. We use the inside of a teddy bear. We stumbled across this idea my accident. My son's teddy bear had a flap where batteries could be changed because it make sounds. We were traveling and each of my younger kids had some of their own money. They were about 4 or 5 yrs old. We were leaving the hotel to go do something and I watched my son go to his teddy bear open the flap and grab his money out of it. I thought what a great idea so now we use a teddy bear with a small hole in it. We travel with more than one teddy bear (like 3) so the teddy bear itself doesn't stick out. And the teddy bear its that nice. It's kind of worn out so no thief would think to take the teddy bear for his own kid. For on the beach, we use a modified suntan lotion bottle that we keep just laying out so while someone might go through my bags the joke is on them because laying in plain site on the blanket is the suntan lotion bottle. In my house, in the garage we put valuable stuff in a big container of new kitty litter. I also split my money up too. I never hide all of it in one spot. I think it's because I am Polish. I was told that Polish people always hides stuff all around their house. I don't know if it's true but my grandmother always did and so to I and some other Polish people I know. My grandmother used to hide money up in the curtains...lol good luck. Try the teddy bear.

+Ariella C - Instead of paying more for soap than it is worth, simply save your money and you will always have enough for what you need. I think the hole in the soap w/ money inside is a great gift idea too, AS LONG AS the gift recipient will definitely use the soap instead of just throwing it in a drawer. I'm going to get a bar of my wife's favorite soap and do this. She LOVES surprises.
I got robbed on the street at gunpoint and all he wanted was my Chapstick with $5, my soap with $50 and my deodorant with $100 in it. The robber said he watched this video. 😬

I have the habit of "hiding" money. I told my son to check every box, pair of socks etc, after my death. When tidying my room, I found money stuck behind a photo frame of my grand children . . My problem is, when I hide stuff, I tend to forget the hiding place!
Henrycems...omgosh !! I love your hilarious comment !!1 yes, you can bet his family and friends will enjoy the challenge.... it's even better than an Easter egg hunt.
Some of these are ingenious if you don't accidentally throw them out or forget them...also, that hole on the side of the soap was pretty obvious. Great place to hide money, but you need to work on that hole a bit more, wet the bar too.

Good one! I'll have to use that idea sometime! Thanks for sharing :)
Jay Hodges o
Make it stinkier with workout clothes , wet smelly socks , get some pee in your underwear all in a laundry bag - no one gets paid enough to get a whif of it. Or even look at it. Even the crooks in hotels won’t look at it.
He'll, I use reusable sanitary towels. NO ONE will check through them.
The problem is...thieves are more likely to steal your bags then anything else....a lot of those items would be in your bag.
Exactly
True
U smart
But customs workers don't steal the bag, they rifle through it, and they are the most likely culprit.

I thought there were some ingenious ideas to hide your money and prevent having it stolen. Thanks for the ideas
This dude has spent time in the joint.
Bill Atwood Exactly! This will be very useful to me the next time I want to work the street.
😂🤣🤣
🤣😂😂
I liked this video. I laughed so hard when he said you could add some brown color to the diaper to make it look realistic!!! Too funny!!!
Faith Derek
microwave a candy bar inside. Very realistic!
Yes just put some wet coffee grounds or use either a small dark brown marker or dark brown shoes polish but just a tad here & there so that it won't look so suspicious.
I had to shower 20 times today just to get my dollar back from my soap!
You could have just smashed it on the floor
Doug Pierce why not break it in half
😂
Good one Doug! LOL
You'd have extreme skin damage
I liked the hairbrush one as it looked like you could put a not of bills inside. Food/gum type items I wouldn't use as a thief could just take the whole thing to eat on the run and find your money.
Yes ,the hairbrush makes a good hidey hole.
Hair brush: Get some sheet lead from Home Depot roofing section. Cut it to make a liner. Use to hide drugs, knife or explosives. X-ray proof. JK don't try this at home!
freehairyporn
Them hair brushes are usually glued & if loose the brush comes apart when using.
cyberi4a. lol to funny
These are brilliant ideas! I lost a lot of money in Sicily when our airbnb was ransacked and all my (weak) hiding places were easily discovered and robbed. Never again!
Many airBnbs have cameras in them now.
@@BeauoFu - So you can watch 2-hour-old video of your stuff being stolen.
@@LeFraudHasChokedInSIXFinals Hahaha so true
Yea, this is great... till you forget you've done it and the product gets tossed.
That's what my fear too! How do we remember such tiny details where we have to remember and care for so many things while traveling!?!? And even if I try to remember , some from my family may throw away the item when my hidden money is kept! OH NO!!!!!!
THAT WOULD BE ME...!
@@ginpok6640 It may work for people with good memory. If is me I will probably forget if I brought any money.
Thank you for sharing. Great ideas.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Some are very clever; some I've already utilized. I look forward to seeing more.
Amazingly brillian ideas!
i got 8 minutes in and then realized i have no money
Madison Holloway that's funny
Be better if he told us how to get the bills.
I only made it half way too. I think it was his voice.

LOL...very funny
most of the time your whole bag gets lost or stolen so you will end up losing more money. You are better off keeping a dummy wallet (a second wallet) with a little money and some old expired cards inside. Give that to a robber.
killan001 lmao, my idea is to get a identical wallet, put used gift cards in it and like 7 dollars, and a paper that says, “GET SCAMMED, ROBBER!!”
Yeah. My dad says a good place to hide your real wallet is your armpit. As a female i prefer the boobcrack storage method
Why keep it in your bag just put it in your pocket
Oh wait, pickpocketing... um... use the item regularly no one would steal that.
I heard Fossil makes a very useful line of "RFB" Wallets. All shaped like big pill capsules.
Just make sure you tell your spouse or anyone who lives with you not to toss out that "dirty" diaper.
very true
Studied some case law where landlords clean up trash tenants leave & then the tenant sues the landlord for tossing the dirty diaper. Case law claiming "diamond in the diaper".
can someone explain to me what the brown stuff in the diapers for y'all???????????????????????
James Betty9k
Canadian Cutting Edge that is my fear
Good video; thanks for taking the time to post it.
Gave me so many different ways to hide money especially on vacation. Just pick one or two so you won't forget, that's all. Thank you!
With my luck, I'd give someone a stick of gum with $$$ in it!
+ladysamana Thank you for sharing
ladysamana, good practices
what if the thief run away with ur backpack. He wont find ur money but they are lost to you anyway
Several good ideas. Knowing me, lol!, I would lose them or forget them! Hahaha!
yeppp....my biggest worrying thought is this!
I will never even try this. I would never remember where I hid it.
Carl Houston nice to do this all the time with my money and my weed and many times I lost it forgetting where the hell it was because I smoke too much of the weed
"Hey bro do you have some money I can borrow?"
"Yeah sure, one sec." *throws soap onto ground*
LionJayHollyDove Three Or pulls it out of his dirty underwear .
For the soap one to make it less suspicious you should make a little indent at the other side of the soap to make it look like it was part of the design
Or put the cash in a baggy or tube pack the hole back full of soap and remold it under warm water
I've used similar techniques when I know I'm traveling through or to countries with sketchy law enforcement.
I knew which soap had money by splitting the bar, carving out a storage bin, and then notch both sides to put a rope.
Wet the two faces, and fill the rope hole.
"Those stupid Americans, soap on a rope?"
As I pass by with a couple years of his salary...
When I travel I keep all of my cash inside my debit card. (don't tell nobody)
That is when foreigners copy all of your card numbers down and try to hack the money out of your account.
Using a debit card when travelling is the surest way to get the shitiest conversion rate, so you are in fact losing money
....WOW!!!!!! AWESOME IDEAS!!!!!! THANKS!!!!!!
(One) don't carry cash (two) if you do carry unpack all your cash before going thru customs, if they find you are hiding stuff they will wonder what else you are hiding. Write off couple hours. I have traveled the world and never carried cash (three) never share your security secrets on line.
Carry only a small amount of cash on you when going through customs. Wire the rest to yourself and pick it up upon arrival.
Wow, I would never have thought about any of these ideas. Thank you for these tips!!!
A friend would hide her money in a box of Tampons!!!
Thanks!
Wife - Honey, I need some money.
Husband - Alright, let me grab my floss.
Wife - u high?
Thanks for the great tips on how to "stash" my "stuff" when flying lol.
Don't try it. Them xray machines will make you so sorry.
This video should be called, "10 Ways To Get Strip Searched At The Airport".
You don't hide the money in them at the airport, genius
My friend stepped out of his car & a guy with a knife demanded all his money. My friend reached into his clothes to get his wallet, but pulled out his .45 instead. He demanded the robber give him all his money. He also demanded that the robber give him his knife & ALL his clothes. He then went on to his destination, ditched the clothes along the way, & lived happily ever after.
And now every thief knows where to look.
Exactly!!!
you think they didn't already know? fool
I know right? If you have good ideas to hide money, don't share it publicly. Just do it. Period.
I was thinking the same thing! Can’t use those ideas now. Smh.
yes, he is telling the robbers to steal things worth nothing, just in case there is some money. !!!!
Hah, pretty clever.
You're right, normal people like myself would never even think of looking in any of these places. Not all of them were ideal, but all were clever! Thanks. 👍
I think the best place for money when traveling is to hide it on your person. Seams in clothing or a valuables bag under clothes.
And next to the playing cards was my favorite brand of gum so i took that too. as i left i tripped over a shoe knocking the old soul out.when i put it back in i saw even more money in the shoe. i just could not believe it so i decide to take a pen to write it all down with.
omg my eye are watering so hard with tears of laughter right now dovah bob thank you for that wonderful story
not likely but very amazing
LOL!
Hilarious!
dovah bob you have too much time to write a comment.
The tips were witty and the Dovah Bob story went so well with, anyhow kudos to both of you!
Diapers? Oh no that's the first thing they look now days!! They're not looking for only money they're looking for drugs too.
Danielle Osmena true. I some people hide drugs in the kids diapers while the kids run around still wearing the diapers
Danielle Osmena. Mm
Youer Dome you need mony for Drugs
Huggie Burritos!
From now on, just for fun, I will leave a real dirty diaper somewhere and will check with a hidden camera the reaction of the thieves when they find the brown treasure :-)
Sounds like somebody that knows from experience
Great tips thank you!
Also, if the cleaning people clean your room daily, leave a tip on the table, the majority will take the tip and more often than not, won't go through your belongings because you're thanking them for service.
"For my next video, you will see me in divorce court explaining why I went berserk when my wife told me she threw out the chap stick and toothpaste!"
I bet she threw the dirty nappy away, too. Mine would.

That sounds like a neat idea just to buy for yourself, but would be a crappy gift if the soap only had $1 in it.
Katie Kat .
She LOVES surprises.
and then some thief in a hurry just steals your luggage and all of this effort was pointless except for the buck in your sneaker.. brilliant!
I thought the same thing! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

When my granna passed we found money hidden all over the place...I bet your house is fun to raide 🤪
I have the habit of "hiding" money. I told my son to check every box, pair of socks etc, after my death. When tidying my room, I found money stuck behind a photo frame of my grand children . . My problem is, when I hide stuff, I tend to forget the hiding place!
In south America they take shoes, wallet, backpack and everything you have..

2. If you are worried about thieves, just put that $1 in your sock.

Some of these are ingenious if you don't accidentally throw them out or forget them...also, that hole on the side of the soap was pretty obvious. Great place to hide money, but you need to work on that hole a bit more, wet the bar too.
