My husband and I started watching your channel and I have to say that you speak khmer more fluently than my husband and me, combined. Like 'omg, this white guy speaks khmer '... we love it! We're so impressed and also that you are always willing to eat most of the foods there. I couldn't do it, even though I was born there. Keep it up!!! 😃
Thank you for taking your time to edit your videos and adding subtitles for people who doesn’t understand bro, thanks for putting the effort in every video! You’re vibe is natural and chilled n lay back you’re not forcing anything when you’re conversation with locals or cooks 🔥😭👍
That's my favorite breakfast also. 😋 Mmmmm 👌 great way to start the day. Great bike shots didn't take ya long to get the hang of riding your new bike. I like it! 👍 😎
Am kidda say thanks for spending your valuables time creating the videos showing cambodia local foods , even I am cambodia I feel different when I watch your video just like you made my feel has a new taste ❤🙏🏻
Good morning, I enjoy your interaction with the locals. Your language skills are unique among vloggers. I am hoping to be able to pick up some of the local language when I am there. Is there a school in Phnom Penh you can recommend? Thank you
finally nice to see another foreigner like myself learn khmer, so many expats live in their own box. Good on you bong bros. Your speaking way sounds like proper phnom penh accent.
One thing that’s different about Cambodia and many Asian countries is people don’t really mind in sharing a table with complete strangers to eat their food. In Western countries, a person can eat alone and won’t allow anybody else to use his table even when it’s super crowded.
Where you from in the USA? I had live in Texas, Washington, and now in Minnesota. I was born in battambang during the war in 1979. I'm in college right now studying solar energy, I'll be back to teach and to rebuild.
I have a recommendation of you doing a vlog of the different foods in Poipet market. I don’t know if you’ve done it already but the foods look fresh and good!
I had my driver's license since 15 yo now I'm 33 in CA horrible traffic. Lol but i don't ever think that I can drive in Cambodia unless it's the province or villages. Shit is to hectic in the city of Cambodia or certain areas
I feel the same way, I don’t know how they do it there. It seems like every time they put themselves in the street, they’re putting a HUGE risk to their lives.
The vietnamese influence on khmer street food is pervasive. Oddly, thai influence on khmer cuisine is very minimal. They show stronger preference for flavors found in viet cuisine.
Look for the venders that freshly make the foods and avoid the foods that are not. God knows how long the foods have been sitting there. You got to be careful if you see the market vendors that sell raw meat hanging over the open air with all the flies landing on it. Raw meat needs to be refrigerated to eliminate the spoilage of the meat and prevent bacteria growth.
Man, that poke rice is way too expensive for that amount. I know two better place than that and it only like 100meter away from there, probably less but that beef broth do looking better though
as you can see your body isnt like any wester body your more slim and healthy because you mostly eat food in cambodia. if you eat food in the US you wouldnt look like that. you would be a bit quite obesity. see your body slim down a lot. and you dont feel like having stress. but here in the us omg food give people stress
damn man, nobody is conversational at that place. you had to ask twice for your order... Edited---- I should've watched the whole video though. People are friendly and that pan over to Republic of Gamers, WHAAAAAAAT!
Thanks!
You are the one thata very generous. You paid for that man and my breakfast!
