I love that handle. The flair is excellent, and I like that with a Damascus blade, you kept the handle simple so as to not detract attention. That was a great design choice.
What if you started with a round canister, putting the chains inside in a circle up the cylinder, a a steal dow rod in the middle as a starting billet? I think that would make a cool pattern for you. I am not a forger, just a thought. 🙂
The release you get from those canisters is just awesome.
Thank you

Nice cleaver you make like how you using different materials
Thank you
Cool pattern, but i wonder...
What if you turned the chains 90 degrees?
I was thinking the same.
it would probably be very difficult to make sure all the gaps are filled like that though, but would produce a great pattern.
Отличная работа приветствую из Чечни
Thank you
Looks like you are in need of some new tools, JP. Your drill bits aren't cutting it anymore! (pun intended) As always, job well done.
Sometimes these materials harden and its a pain to drill. Its happened to me a few times. I need some carbide in my life 😅

Awesome video. When are you gonna use your coal forge that you built?
Im not a fan of coal forges
When you make a billet so thicc that annealing it doesn't help.
