    Pretty sure 0° F was set to the freezing point of a salt water brine, 32° being the freezing point of normal water, and 90 something being the resting body temperature of the average human. Why are they set to these? Not quite sure but the technology of the time was limiting I'm sure as it predated Celsius similar to how imperial units (feet, inches, etc) predate the metric system

    F is best for people, C is best for science since 100f feels hot as hell and 0f feels cold as hell

    Fahrenheit was used many many years before the metric system came along. At least where I have lived all my 75 years. I had not even heard of Celsius till high school. 0 degrees for freezing and 100 degrees for boiling is just too easy. Especially human body temperature.
