On point.. as a teenager everyone that knew me would call it "pulling a Carri" lol I would just be gone. then return like nothing happened. But it's a new ballgame when you grow up ..get married and have kids. "pulling a Carri" is frowned upon..to say the least LOL. I have to stay VERY Self Aware.

How did you learn that self-awareness helped you cope with that? Is self-awareness similar to mindfulness? ~Amanda

HealthyPlace It is Mindfulness.. I keep close eye on every feeling I get. I've learned that certain feelings turn into actions. So by addressing them on a daily basis and understand why I'm feeling this or that way has helped so much. I've also asked my husband to be like my anchor. He asks me everyday. "How are you doing today" and "what have you thought about today" I know it might sound silly..But it really helps to keep me honest..not just with him, but with myself.

"Certain feelings turn into actions" is insightful, and really, your entire response shows wisdom. Thank you for answering - your comment will help many people.

Thank you.. I really hope it helps. And honestly I've never been to any kind of therapy. (I probably will) I think I would like that. But everything I've learned has just been Hit or Miss... "Miss" for many many years. I wish I had known more at a younger age. But that's ok. Everyday is a learning process.♡
