The video misses the point. When the Quran says that prophets are muslims, it is not saying that they did exactly the same things the modern muslims do. For example, muslims now recite al-Fatiha (the first chapter of the Quran) in a prayer, which previous prophets and their followers didn't do because the Quran wasn't revealed at that time. So, the Quran uses the term "Muslim" simply to mean those who submitted to God. However, the way one submits to God changes when God changes his laws For instance, referring to God as Father could be acceptable in the past when it was understood metaphorically, but the Quran rejected that after Christians made the concept of Trinity from that. Jesus didn't use the word "Father" in a trinitarian sense. When he said "My God and your God, My Father and Your Father", he means that he is son of God in the same sense as other people are sons of God

@mgvilaca the 4 canonical gospels are anonymous it says so right there in the text. They were written in the 2nd and 3rd centaury - read the detailed notes from ecumenical councils, best copies can be found in the Vatican archives which minutes where these writings were commission. On the other other hand the knowledge gospels are not anonymous and pre date the canonical gospels which is what Muslims mostly lean on as they are much more likely to be eye witness accounts from the disciples and apostles. Not sure why you reverence the Deuterocanon since it is also part of the Muslim fait, actually the whole of the Tanakh is honoured and referred. .

The Quran's idea of God is different, albeit some Jewish and christian texts were in part used, but altering them, so invalid as one should not do that (Quran also loses the salvation message ... so no foundation to rely on.)

One reason is enough! The word "Muslim" did not exist by the time of Jesus. So saying "Jesus was a Muslim" does not make more sense than saying "Jesus was a Texan". It's what they call "anachronism".

Jesus definitely wasn't muslim, because Islam wasn't formed until after the 7th Century, Jesus lived in the 1st Century. Therefore, Jesus wasn't muslim.

No. In Islam, God doesn't have a son. He doesn't have a family. He's something completely outside of the constructs of society and what we understand. Similarly, only God can forgive sins, so that wouldn't be believed either. Muhammad was the last for definite, so there cannot be another. as a christian, the verse john 10:36 is wrong because after it it says "if i said i am the son of god i wouldve blashphemed" but you can use verses like john 8: 58 before abraham was born i am, john 10:30 i and the father are in one john 14:6 i am the way, the truth and the life
In verse John 10:36, in context a Jew said Jesus was committing blasphemy for claiming he is god, Jesus say "Blasphemy; because I said, I'm the son of god?" then Jesus says in John 10:37 "Do not believe me unless I do the works if my Father.". But yeah the other verses you mentioned would be a better example.

But something about Islam's lessons have always struck me wrong. There’s something going on with some Muslims not respecting women. I live in Israel and worked at a certain job, and every time women wearing hijabs came in, their husbands would always prevent them from doing things and would choose colors and items for them. They also spoke in a very aggressive manner, whether it was about certain colors the women wanted or something else. It really annoyed me that their husbands treated them like that, and my manager said that's how it is with them, that's their culture. I also had an incident where the husband of a woman who wanted a certain bag tried to take a bag off the wall in the store I worked at. We were all women working in the store, and instead of asking us, he took a stick and did it himself. We yelled at him to stop and let us do it because that stick was meant for employees only, and he wasn’t supposed to touch it. I hope Muslims will start being more respectful towards their women and in general.

When he said "My God and your God, My Father and Your Father", he means that he is son of God in the same sense as other people are sons of God

They were written in the 2nd and 3rd centaury - read the detailed notes from ecumenical councils, best copies can be found in the Vatican archives which minutes where these writings were commission. On the other other hand the knowledge gospels are not anonymous and pre date the canonical gospels which is what Muslims mostly lean on as they are much more likely to be eye witness accounts from the disciples and apostles.

It's sad because Muslims and JWs have a pretty similar view of Christ. The only major differences is that JWs believe he was the Son of God while Muslims don't and that Jesus died for our sins but Muslims don't.

Both the Quran and the Bible can be taken out of context and its verses can be used as a weapon against the religion. It's better that we understand the context of these verses, and that both religions don't promote violence at all, but peace.

In verse John 10:36, in context a Jew said Jesus was committing blasphemy for claiming he is god, Jesus say "Blasphemy; because I said, I'm the son of god?" then Jesus says in John 10:37 "Do not believe me unless I do the works if my Father.". But yeah the other verses you mentioned would be a better example.

There’s something going on with some Muslims not respecting women. I live in Israel and worked at a certain job, and every time women wearing hijabs came in, their husbands would always prevent them from doing things and would choose colors and items for them. They also spoke in a very aggressive manner, whether it was about certain colors the women wanted or something else.
It really annoyed me that their husbands treated them like that, and my manager said that's how it is with them, that's their culture.
I also had an incident where the husband of a woman who wanted a certain bag tried to take a bag off the wall in the store I worked at. We were all women working in the store, and instead of asking us, he took a stick and did it himself. We yelled at him to stop and let us do it because that stick was meant for employees only, and he wasn’t supposed to touch it.
I hope Muslims will start being more respectful towards their women and in general.
