Grow, develop and improve so you can be better and show the world that you are better and not one of the worst. Quoting a friend of mine who helped me get out of a rut, "you won't change things by yourself. But if there are a hundred people like you, things may change for the better." She was referring to good people as she said I was a good person. I don't know if I am but this is what she said.

Because a lot of men do not DESERVE the basic respect anymore. Women are stepping away from men because of that mindset, it's toxic and entitled. We respect men who are kind, genuine, good friends or family members, men who have a positive impact on those around and who are good people. Just being a man doesn't grant you respect. Women are constantly told from childhood how to be safe, what to do when things go wrong and we are so aware of how dangerous the world is now. Unfortunately men will not get everyones respect until a real change happens. Nothing has changed, years of violence rape and oppression has led to this and it won't change and it shouldn't change until men start to raise their sons to be good genuine people.

It’s easy to point to Tate for some bad stuff he says, but is it any worse the The View on prime time TV doing a segment last month on “Do we need men.” And then concluding with the consensus that “Men are useless.” And they were not joking (that red head witch said it ten times).. One of the first thing I thought was that one of The View hosts said they had young boys, of 6 yrs old. So what her six yr old boy is watching mom and the freaking View going on about Men being useless. For some reason it really bothered me unlike most stuff online, it seemed more dystopian .. The real problem is that the anti men attitude is now everywhere. Or the “except gay men” crap. I’m Gen X so fortunately growing up guys and girls all hung out all the time through college. The past 5+ years or so things have become totally skewed. You mention OnlyFans, think of it this way. OnlyFans went from no users, to lewd content, to prn a little over three years and there is now two million “influencers.” that’s 1 in 50 working American women doing OnlyFans. And the news doesn’t say a word.

Correct. Women, apart from the caring professions, overwhelming do not make or maintain anything of any value to anybody else. They work in offices doing red tape enforcement. Effectively they're a drain on the economy/productivity. If they stayed home en masse the economy would quickly adjust and we'd less traffic on the roads and better productivity.

After years of neglecting me my ex started to ignore our four children and considered them too stressful. She would come home and bury her nose in her phone while our children tried to talk to her and tell her about their day. Then she bought a puppy. After the THIRD morning of stepping in dog doo I lost it. I told her I was tired of her actions and that she needed to do better or gtfo. In front of our children. She was gone the next day.

I really think blaming all men is very destructive. I know of someone who got blamed for sleeping around when she wasn't. In the end, because this kept happening, she was like fine I'll just sleep around anyway they already think I do. Blaming boys and men who treat women right for all the bad things actual bad men do, could end up turning some bad in the end. It's damaging to you mentally, I mean some men might not start mistreating women but they could decide to just end it all because no one seems to be with them or on their side. It's very sad to see.

    • @AChi__

I don't quite buy the first part of your comment because only a person capable and wanting to sleep around will sleep around. People don't just start sleeping around because they were accused of sleeping around. That person probably decided to stop hiding the fact they were sleeping around after not being able to stop the accusations, or they wanted to sleep around the whole time but were managing to keep themself from doing it but finally gave in after being accused of it. My point is people who sleep around want to sleep around, and it's not because what other people say or think about them.

Teenagers, especially teenage boys always check how far they could go. Over thirty years ago we did plenty of that same shit and there were no toxic role models online pushing us, we were just teenagers. I feel embarrassed about some of the shit we pulled, we didn't always see our teachers as humans with feelings and not all of them (especially the younger ones) could always handle us well. We didn't hate our teachers and none of us were out to get them or hurt them intentionally or anything. Hell, the way we picked on each others at times was pretty rough too... some of my best friends shredded me to bits me apart over thirty years ago and I still remember it. They didn't`t mean to be hurtful, it was just what we did, we'd actually feel bad once we realized we went to far. Current day society seems to ignore how boys grow up and expect them to fit into some mold that is not made for them. Of course you have to set boundaries and rules but realize that for most of them a different approach then for girls is needed. Neither is helped by a one size fits all.

It’s an interesting topic as an autistic man. I see the world through a different lens and I was the kid that got the brunt of males in my year picking on me bashing me. They’ve put me in hospital a few times with bleeding kidneys and God knows what but at the end of the day it’s toughen me up. It gave me a resilience that I needed to survive as an adult We’re too afraid to take the gloves off these days. You wanna turn into a powderpuff girl is it no wonder that we have a growing gay society when you won’t let men be men when you don’t try to understand what life is like for men we’re all about how to nurture females but no one talks about how to nurture males. We just get the roar end of the stick every time because one or two people happen to be famous and influential and they put forward a certain ideology but the rest of us don’t give a shit about I’ll tell you who I see as a role model my dad. My dad went to work for his family sometimes 23 weeks in a row of 16 hour shifts seven days a week. I barely saw him as a kid. He was either in bed or at work he showed me what it was to be a man to love their family so much they put everything on the line And I do the same for my kids my wife. And you can’t blame men for being stupid or women for being stupid when we are so soft in crime you can drive around the streets on the major highways and not see any sign of the police every day I drive I’m overtaken by people that are speeding no one stops them. If you don’t put laws in place and hold them then you’re not shaping the morality of your society and cut both ways. You have to treat men to be respectful of women but you also have to treat women and teach them to be respectful of men without mutual respect, they can be no success for any of us people like the court talk all the time about equality Between men and women but there shouldn’t be equality between men and women we’re not supposed to be equal. We’re supposed to be symbiotic. One cannot function without the other. We’re supposed to complement each other and Work as a well oiled machine would work anyway that’s enough autistic ramblings from me, oh one last thing anything that is put on free to wear TV and has that insipid music in the background. You have to ask what the agenda is I don’t trust anything on seven 910 or the ABC let alone SBS all of these free to wear TV channels having an agenda.

My God. That teacher has no ovaries. I am less than 5 ft tall and have NEVER had an out-of-control classroom. Ever. My students learned quickly to be serious with their work because there were great rewards later for such dedication. And I also provided a fun school room to be serious in. Were there serious emotionally disarranged students from time to time? Sure. But MOST of them came around.

I attended a talk by Daniel and Melinda Tankard Reist that was organised by my children's school. I found it to be highly confronting and my children claimed that the most inappropriate images they had ever seen were shown to them by these two during this 'information session'. When the boys made statements about things they were experiencing they were ignored, and even ridiculed. The hosts went to great lengths to demonise these teenage boys. I am a mum to girls but felt so bad for the boys who had no voices and were being blamed for everything that is wrong with society.

Well... do women treat toxic femininity and misandry as a women's issue, and should they treat men with respect?

If I say "men should treat women with respect" people will say that of course they should!

People should treat other people with respect regardless if they are boys or girls.
Bad people are in both genders.
I believe the main problem is the complete geberalization of men or women when talking about one another. Nothing is black or white and everyone is different.
I always give respect to others. If the other person is disrespectful to me, I now just disengage with them and leave them well alone. But nit all people do that. Some fight bacm, others take a more passive route and so on.
I am strong believer that, its not what you say, it is how you say it and wgen discussing the problems we face to ither person, is to talk about the problem and detact the problem from the person if that makes sense.

Other than my father the best male role models in my life were the manual arts (tech) teachers. They entered the teaching world prior to the requirement to go to uni. Universities seem to be creating a lot of issues when it comes to the extreme leftist narrative they push as well as creating a barrier for good male role models who would have, in years past, entered schools and be available as a good masculine figure, an alternative to the academics that honestly do not connect with a lot of kids (especially boys).
Encourage men with a genuine desire to teach boys to leave well paying trade jobs to do it. Seeing the interactions between the super masculine tradie teachers and the women and less masculine academic men was really important for the boys that may not have seen that at home. “I can be a man, and be nice and respectful to everyone? Wow didn’t know that was an option”.
I see the crap being taught in school now and know if I was having to deal with that as a boy, I would have resisted and rebelled.
Academic teachers have a role in teaching the next generation of academics. You need tradies to teach the next generation of tradies, mostly boys are interested in trades. Schools are not attracting a good cross section of the adult population, and not bringing in differing views from teachers and allowing the kids to see that all can co-exist… its really not hard to see where the problem sits.
Open the doors of schools to more men, remove the university requirement unless teaching academic subjects and allow the teachers to express views from the left and right so long as the views are not extreme in either direction.

The internet has made it too easy to compare yourself to others. That's at the core of everything. Accept yourself where you're at, then make a push in the direction you want to go. You don't need to become your ambition, just a person that's willing to try. Make a choice, be willing to try. If you don't succeed, try again. If a lack of success causes you to reevaluate your circumstances, hear yourself out and try something else. Convincing yourself to try again is also an option.

We live in a toxic environment right now where being male is vilified, but this doesn't mean we have to let it dictate whoand how we are. Part of being a real man is learning to define yourself without looking to approval from the outside. Approval is for jugglers and actors. Men need to feel confident in who *they* are. They need to master themselves, not let the world break them down into whatever the latest fad is.

As someone who works in vocational education disability support with a lot of young men I am most disappointed by those who form the majority within this space. Although there are some highly valued exceptions (such as my direct boss and several colleagues) the language that is casually thrown around when speaking about the male of the species is not only disgusting but incredibly out of touch. The blinkering of incoming professionals within the education and mental health realm is frightening. They are working from an extremely distorted position and have seemingly zero clue as to how to engage and work with these students. Our passivity as a society to the utter hate speech at play within activism scholarship for fear of being ostracised or cancelled is only exacerbating the problems inherent within socialisation. It is time for more individuals of integrity to show themselves and speak honestly of human behavioural economics and turn away from the unendingly biased positions of the critical theorists who serve nothing more than themselves and their own tribe. Strong men are forged in honesty and accountability, as are strong women. How we collectively fail to call out the weakest of charlatans (unless they are of the male kind) is a very real problem that needs to be addressed for the sake of the whole.

I think western women are vile, though, because of what they are doing to western men and boys, and if they didn't do the things they are doing, perhaps there would have been no fertile ground for so-called "problematic" ideas, like those from Tate, to grow. You need to sort out your women, before they cause irreparable damage to whole generations of men.
