Where did you get these rail blocks? are they custom-made? Is this all server modding? I was trying to wrap my head around some of the logistics of building this - how much of this was modding (coding - because I imagine making these extremely long structures can be done with /fill command, but the planning has to be precise - so it might be easier to write code?...and I noticed, when playing on the legacy server there are buildings that are completely built all-around - a racetrack! a school...lots of parking structures - it's magnificent and this should be experienced by more people).
My apologies for late replies: For the rail blocks, the resources pack allow us to do 3D modeling based on the existing texture, that doesn't need any mod. For the construction, I use worldedit plugin to build most of the repetitive structures but there are zero coding to automatics the process since I want to build all these by myself. That brings to a point you mentioned, every station and track is planned very carefully at least a month prior, especially the underground structures.
