So I was saving this comment for sometime now. The reaction thing on youtube it´s a ongoing thing nowadays specially with some metal bands. There are a lot of youtubers like you that react to this kind of content, being myself a metalhead and knowing most of these bands, this is really enjoyable. However, most people are or "normal people" or vocal coaches, which is interesting to some degree but your reactions are unique man, that´s why I love your videos. Being myself a musician I´ve always loved the production side of things, stage props, pyro, GEAR, festival facts and info, etc, etc. I have learned a lot from your videos and please keep up with your content is one of a kind on youtube, it´s super entertaining, and focuses on info that other youtubers don´t really touch on and at the end of the day those things really matter in the atmosphere of a live performance. #Roadieskeeptheshowgoing

Gratest show on earth DO Tampere for the special effects they are very special/Cool you will miss them if you do the Wembly Version. that show does not have thies very special special effects.
While I agree Tampere is a great show to react to, I would actually like to see Tank discussing the Wembley one, because he's mainly a guitar tech and would probably be one of the only reactors out there being able to explain what Troy does there ;) they changed the intro for Tampere...
I´m gonna stress everything others recommended regarding The Greatest Show on Earth: 1) Do the Tampere version. This is a must. 2) Chose the longer one with the end credits (it is the final song of the DVD and the concert) and watch to the very end. My personal advices: 3) Chose the version with lyrics - you may check them out before reaction, but it´s still very handy to have them there. 4) Have a time of your life. :) You can experience it only once. Me and my colleagues in theater, we played the whole album Endless Forms Most Beautiful for the first time on our big sound system, and this final song in particular is something I remember to this very day - even though we did not have it with video. I´m looking forward to next Wednesday. :)

One thing I noticed was that a lady in the audience that appeared on camera for a second at this concert also is filmed in the Wacken 2013 audience for a couple of seconds so kinda fun to see her at two different nightwish concerts three years apart.
Still consider While Your Lips are Still Red. It's different and worth a listen. Floor isn't the lead vocalist. Marko is and it's a ballad. The live version is best because Floor and Troy are included in the support unlike the studio version.
Yeah, but the Scandinavian crowds usually have the hype of a dead rotten animal. Don't get me wrong, I know they are loving it. But they literally "watch" the concert. Being south American is a crazy and annoying cultural shock. But cmon, everything else besides this and immigration laws they do to perfection.

So, just a kind reminder: Watch The Greatest Show On Earth to the very last second. Otherwise a bunch of angry fans goes riot. Unfortunately, if I recall it correctly, there are some videos of it which cut the final part off.
I saw them 5 times, and one of them was at a festival in 2016. They weren't headliners, Iron Maiden was the next after them. Nightwish had an insane amount of production, but sadly they couldn't use any pyro, because a big thunderstorm happened at the start of their show. It was of course still amazing, Steve Harris from Iron Maiden liked it too, I saw him watching Nightwish's performance from the side of the stage.
Make sure you use the Tampere version next week (you reallly want that version believe me!!!!!!) and it is also nice if you make sure you watch the complete video
Just wanted to say that Nightwish performances are all so great, there really is no such thing as a wrong video. Personally this reaction was friggin awesome to me, and I loved it!! I am glad you did this one, because I've never seen anything from this show, and I loved it! Right on!
Beautiful theatrics from Floor. Such a natural performer of lyrics abs feel. This is one of my favourite Floor vocal tracks as she mixes it up a little. Great track!

@@TankTheTech Actually, when Marco wears the double neck is because he means to use both: He does it here, he does it in My Walden, he does it in Dead Boy's Poem, and probably in some another song that I am forgetting. In fact, I think the only time he uses the double neck to play just one instrument is when perfoming The Islander.
Marco plays both on several song. Dead Boys Poem, Weak Fantasy, My Walden, & Elvanjig. "Kiss the Ring" good one, but she was referring to the Pope. You really know your special effects my friend. You are really giving Floor a run for her money with your windmilling and headbanging! This is a good one, but it does not show Marco playing his doubleneck guitar or the lyrics on screen. Having watched the popular versions of this song I have to say this was epic in both production, sound & lighting. The pyro was just crazy. Nightwish don't perform songs they do masterpieces and this is no diffrerent. Just simply fantastic.

Imo, that's one of their most underrated songs and may be my favorite from the EFMB album (apart from Elan and the Greatest Show, although that last one is a beast of its own and shouldnt be compared to "regular songs").

Thanks for reacting to this version, Tank! I like it a lot and for me it's way more intense than at Tampere or Wembley and I also think to see some emotion with Floor when she sings "Mother's milk laced with poison for this newborn" at 9.14. She was pregnant for a couple weeks and she knew it. She also mentions her pregnancy in the Nightwish We were here - book (2018) and I'm sure the hormones were kicking in.

This is definitely one of my favorite songs from Nightwish. What is missing from this video compared to the Tampere video (in addition to Kai's drum solo) is that Marko has not been highlighted very much in the video and his guitar part in particular is not visible at all! By the way, I just read Marko's interview today (in Finnish). Here are a few excerpts from it: "Hietala has hardly been able to perform like other musicians this year and Nightwish, for example, has postponed its tour to next year. Hietala has already managed to stop stressing things out. - It was a bit stressful at first, when I didn't really know when and what would happen. Eventually, as the pandemic dragged on, the attitude has changed to look at when something can be done about it, Hietala says and continues: - We were left with an almost finished production untested and we should have started the tour in the spring from China. As you might guess, you really couldn’t go there. I still have time to do my own solo gigs at the beginning of the year, but since then we have been on hold. Hietala says that he has personally managed financially, but for example, the work of Nightwish's tour staff has been frozen when the gigs were canceled and no other artists can perform. The staff did make an album called Crewish to make their own versions of Nightwish’s well-known songs. Glad you chose this version, all versions are a little different and all just as amazing. Floor always changes her toning/ singing tiny bits between the shows, often depending on the crowd - therefore - brilliant choise this Swedish version. A little more "calm" here and there, but that's ok - it's still early morning in Denmark 😂

Dang, yesterday would have been Nightwish in Afas in Amsterdam. And we have tickets! It is rescheduled to may next year, but we really were exited to go. Thanks to youtube and these videos we can enjoy the live performances that alway are that extra dimension to an album. Keep it up Tank!
Tank, great to see a version I had not seen before and a good solution to all the infighting over location. Of course now you have done the react you can happily work your way through the others which do have some different facets. The start unfortunately missed off the Richard Dawkins intro and Kai drum intro but you can pick these up in the others. Don’t forget the Vancouver version which is an extra on the vehicle of spirit bluray. No massive screens and No flames as it’s a small venue which would probably burn down but a really interesting sound mix which really brings up the drums and Marko’s bass. What it serves to emphasise is what a great song this is, even when the big hit stage toys are taken away.

Hey Tank... first of all great work... love your energy and gear knowledge. Just to let you know. That year there were 4 headliners on the festival. Rammstein, Volbeat, Tenacious D and Nightwish. This is a 3 day festival and Nightwish had the stage for them alone on Saturday. I was there on Saturday for Five FInger Death Punch and Nightwish and Sunday for Rammstein, Losty Frequencies and Editors.
I myself love this from Bråvalla, so glad you did this :) missing the drumintro in the beginning but you can check that at the Tampere version. Not many are doing this one so thanks :) your videos are so informative, I feel like I am a full learned roadie soon :) I learn so much everytime, and you never forget Emppu, the hero on stage :) can't wait for The Greatest Show, and please do Tampere because it has so much more than any other live version has...and listen to the very very end...you will have a lot to talk during that show, can't wait.

Yeah Bråvalla was before both Wembley and Tampere... I went both to Bråvalla and later on I took a cruise over to our neighbours in Finland and watched the Tampere show. My nieces wanted to go, but could not get hold of four extra tickets before Bråvalla, not like i complain seeing them twice thou. :o)

The chemistry between these band mates is clear. They're having fun and like each other.
I love how in Nightwish concerts the crowd behind the front row wants to start moshpit but gets interrupted by the melodies and Floor.

Thanks for reacting to this version, Tank! I like it a lot and for me it's way more intense than at Tampere or Wembley and I also think to see some emotion with Floor when she sings "Mother's milk laced with poison for this newborn" at 9.14. She was pregnant for a couple weeks and she knew it. She also mentions her pregnancy in the Nightwish We were here - book (2018) and I'm sure the hormones were kicking in.

This is definitely one of my favorite songs from Nightwish.
What is missing from this video compared to the Tampere video (in addition to Kai's drum solo) is that Marko has not been highlighted very much in the video and his guitar part in particular is not visible at all!
By the way, I just read Marko's interview today (in Finnish). Here are a few excerpts from it:
"Hietala has hardly been able to perform like other musicians this year and Nightwish, for example, has postponed its tour to next year. Hietala has already managed to stop stressing things out.
- It was a bit stressful at first, when I didn't really know when and what would happen. Eventually, as the pandemic dragged on, the attitude has changed to look at when something can be done about it, Hietala says and continues:
- We were left with an almost finished production untested and we should have started the tour in the spring from China. As you might guess, you really couldn’t go there. I still have time to do my own solo gigs at the beginning of the year, but since then we have been on hold.
Hietala says that he has personally managed financially, but for example, the work of Nightwish's tour staff has been frozen when the gigs were canceled and no other artists can perform. The staff did make an album called Crewish to make their own versions of Nightwish’s well-known songs. The proceeds from the album will help staff who are currently unemployed
- I have to say, that record is damn hard! I listened to it several times and always grin on my face, Hietala says.
Nightwish doesn’t know yet if it will do streaming gigs. According to Hietala, the band's ambition is at such a high level that production would require a huge amount of everything: that stage production ...
"We've talked about it, but at least we don't know yet if we'll do it or not."

Great version!! Not surprised that Floor looks really stunning in this one (she always does).
Glad you chose this version, all versions are a little different and all just as amazing. Floor always changes her toning/ singing tiny bits between the shows, often depending on the crowd - therefore - brilliant choise this Swedish version. A little more "calm" here and there, but that's ok - it's still early morning in Denmark 😂

Sahara is my favorite Nighwish song. The Annette version and the Floor version are both EPIC.

Dang, yesterday would have been Nightwish in Afas in Amsterdam. And we have tickets!
It is rescheduled to may next year, but we really were exited to go.

Tank, great to see a version I had not seen before and a good solution to all the infighting over location.
Of course now you have done the react you can happily work your way through the others which do have some different facets. The start unfortunately missed off the Richard Dawkins intro and Kai drum intro but you can pick these up in the others. Don’t forget the Vancouver version which is an extra on the vehicle of spirit bluray. No massive screens and No flames as it’s a small venue which would probably burn down but a really interesting sound mix which really brings up the drums and Marko’s bass. What it serves to emphasise is what a great song this is, even when the big hit stage toys are taken away.

Hey Tank... first of all great work... love your energy and gear knowledge.
Just to let you know. That year there were 4 headliners on the festival. Rammstein, Volbeat, Tenacious D and Nightwish. This is a 3 day festival and Nightwish had the stage for them alone on Saturday. I was there on Saturday for Five FInger Death Punch and Nightwish and Sunday for Rammstein, Losty Frequencies and Editors.
I myself love this from Bråvalla, so glad you did this :) missing the drumintro in the beginning but you can check that at the Tampere version. Not many are doing this one so thanks :) your videos are so informative, I feel like I am a full learned roadie soon :) I learn so much everytime, and you never forget Emppu, the hero on stage :) can't wait for The Greatest Show, and please do Tampere because it has so much more than any other live version has...and listen to the very very end...you will have a lot to talk during that show, can't wait.

Yeah Bråvalla was before both Wembley and Tampere... I went both to Bråvalla and later on I took a cruise over to our neighbours in Finland and watched the Tampere show. My nieces wanted to go, but could not get hold of four extra tickets before Bråvalla, not like i complain seeing them twice thou. :o)
