- When was the last time we did a comparison review video? Here's one now! We compare the latest B-Segment in town, the Toyota Yaris 1.5 against the not so new yet still popular Honda Jazz 1.5. Adrian likes the Yaris' sporty looks while Eu Jin likes the Jazz's sporty drive. But we're here to answer this one very important question: Which one is for you?

The best review i've ever seen... for me, honda jazz is the best... i traveled with my family for 6 hours... we're 5 in the car included my daughter... and the travel was so cool... coz i fold the back sit, and the 3 of them were just sleeping... my point is, just is so spacious and can fold the back sit perfectly flat... thanks for this review...
Jazz hands down, in the 1.5 form has a fantastic little engine. Love both Honda and Toyota, iconic, unpretentious and faithful brands that in my opinion beat anything from Europe.

Great presentation! You two are funny and brought knowledge to the screen. I like the Honda driving experience (and space, and would buy the Jazz), but I think you were too kind. The Yaris came out on top for that segment. More bang for your buck.

I am 6ft9inch and fit very well in the Honda Fit. I really like how quick it is also and think the 2020 model will be my next car

Great review boys. Much appreciated. My choice would be the Jazz because of its versatility. Apparently a ore reliable CVT gearbox too.
in my opinion, i like the pre-facelift jazz more, cause it looks more sportier even with the mugen bodykit, while the facelift one just looks abit too eco and friendly style

I own a powerful V-6 Acura. I played with the paddle shifters during the first 2 weeks, and really haven't touched them in next 2 years.
[2013 Honda Fit Sport] I live in Minnesota in the northern part of the U.S.A. and use the paddle shifters during the winter months. Manual second gear works well when trying to start out when slippery, and also engine braking is available when in manual.
all I need is that OEM screen, is there a way to buy that screen and the side camera on the mirror?

Jazzz.... jazz review is true.. My favorite car, both guys done great.. but should have done in manual transmission..
Performance/ racing wise the jazz wins minus the "projector lights, rear spoiler, side sills" of the Yaris😊

Toyota design nowadays is basically what Hyundai was seven years ago
This is not a real Yaris, it is what Toyota pretend the Yaris is in countries that aren't as rich as the west / Japan. That's why it looks so fucking goofy, its not a car which has been designed to be the best small car, it is a car designed to cost Toyota as little as possible while still passing it off as a Yaris.
The Honda in the other hand is the real Jazz that all Europeans and Japanese know. It is designed to be the best car in its segment instead of being a dodgy second tier fake Jazz with a Jazz badge.
Japanese and Europeans get a new Yaris next year built from the new Toyota platform. It is an all new car and will share absolutely nothing with this Yaris they are passing off as a Yaris in SEA.
Even the current European and Japanese Yaris that is 9 years old looks better than this thing in the video. It is sad that companies do this, because even down to things like safety this so called "Yaris" is worse at. They are literally trying to scam by omission, by thinking to themselves "yeah, its a fake Yaris and its worse in every way and less safe, but what is SEA gonna do about it?"
What I suggest you do simply is do not buy it. Go with a brand that actually sells you the real deal.

Can the USA get this yaris?
The Fit's back center seat is so narrow and uncomfortably raised which can only accomodate half of your bum. It's something to consider if you are looking for a 5-seater.
Well for me personally i will pick the Yaris because full flat floor and the back seat is same level as the front ... I am the most easy person to get motion sickness when i travel in the backseat of the jazz it only make me worst because you kinda seat to look up and the back seat is lower than the front and the flooring that move up doesnt help also ...

Thank You guys I learned so much about both cars. But, I have a different take on Toyota vs. Honda challenge on every compatible car models, and Jazz and Yaris are no different.
I think of Honda as a handsome Male (tough, rugged, independent), and Toyota a beautiful Female (refined, elegant, eye catching).
The way the two cars look and drive bring me to this conclusion. Also, I believe it's important to think of the car you want to buy next as your new Pet that's going to live with you for a longtime. You must decide which qualities of the Male/Female Pet fit your lifestyle better before you proceed to purchase a car.

You guys speak pretty good English, for a couple of Irish men! But how come no information about how many miles per gallon, each car got? I heard elsewhere, that the Yaris gets a little higher, like low 60mog.and if you drive like Grandma, could top 70! or maby that was the new Jazz cross tour! for 2022.

Just got Yaris not more than 2 months, wondering why it jerks sometimes when I pressed the accelerator. Not sure if is normal.
Ismichquayoo _toothless i think because of CVT.. CVT sometimes makes your car a bit jerky when you pressed the accelerator..

Since you guys said Jazz is more fun to drive than the Yaris, may I know if Jazz driving experience is similar to the Honda City? Coz I've drive the Honda City.
I drive the Honda Fit (USDM name) and I couldn't be happier. The body roll is annoying but removed that with some new suspension (~$250). Now it drives similar to the Miata I used to have, just you feel safer and not like you are going to be run over. The space inside the Jazz is remarkable, exceeding quite a few crossovers with the seats laid flat. I get a lot of compliments on my car, the one downside I would say is the roofliner being beige and the rear bench is a bit stiff over large potholes/bumps so that can irritate some rear passengers.

City's body and turning radius is longer. So jazz can easily makes a u turn better and feels more swift. So i end up buying jazz.

Absolutely hideous looking front bumper design, but the rear end of the Yaris is very refreshing compared to majority of boxy hatchbacks.
That's what happens when a company tries to make a budget second rate product that costs less to produce, you always get goofy ass designs like this. I've seen so many weird ass cars in the SEA, Chinese and Latin American markets that are either old ass models of the Japanese and European variant facelifted or totally new designs aimed at costing less with zero budget put in to research and development.
It also looks like a very pissed-off insect!!!

Jazz vs yaris?? If its me, i think ill lean more towards the yaris. Simply coz im a law abiding citizen and i like to properly pay my tolls on the highway.
Yaris as hybrid at 1.5 ( 16200 euros ) for almost same price as Jazz basic 1.3 ( 15.500 euros ) , ill go for Yaris hybrid all day long

In terms of power jazz more power. Price also jazz win. Yaris it only sporty look only. I prefer jazz.
360 is good for the off chance there is a potted plant on the road, or cat. toyota cvt is more linear and somewhere in between honda sport mode and normal drive mode. honda is more confident, toyota is more predictable and comfortable for acceleration.

If anything.. I say the Mazda 2 is a much more sporty looking and drive. But i've drove the jazz.. it was IKEA friendly.. practicality is unbeatable.. engine much alive.. I dun drive the Yaris yet.. but.. it is my choice for my next car.. just to run away from the norm..

I do find paddle shifters on a CVT pretty pointless. Maybe it's better on the new car but it does nothing for the first generation Jazz
