Power to weight almost similar to liter bike. I own a Super Duke r and a MV Agusta 800rr Dragster Pirelli Edition. The small bike feel with light weight makes all the difference.
It's magical. I feel one with it. I know that sounds corny. After riding Will's 959 Ducati, I felt perched so high, and it steered almost too easily like it drifted side to side underneath me. Maybe nice for the track, but too twitchy for the road.

I will be honest , I own several bikes , mostly Ducati’s and as well this one , I can only judge from collection point of view but I know most of the guys can only have one bike at the time . Hands down best looking , most attention you get on this , but border line posers bike , gets annoying. Real word ride it’s diff, I’m 6’1 and I feel bike it’s too small for me , also if you Tasted anything bigger you be disappointed, eyes choose this at garage but heart and brain take my Ducati monster 1200 R. Over this any day ,1200R eat it all day on every way , power , comfort , size , ride quality . This a great bike don’t take me wrong but for newcomers to Italian animals , buy what you desire but not a bike for guys coming from 1299 panigale or 1200R monster , this feels like a baby 👶 compare to them .
I get it. Not every bike for everyone. Since I'm shorter, I like the compact size, just like my 900 SuperSport. I did get to ride a 959 Panigale Corse, and it was a bit much for street rides, not to mention intimidatingly tall for me. It wanted more and more speed, even when I was doing triple digits. That would eventually get me in trouble. I like the tight twisties, and the short wheel base and handling suits that just fine.
I had a Monster 1200. You're right, that thing has torque for fucking DAYS. I got rid of it for 2 reasons: 1) Couldn't really use all the power for every day riding 2) I'm 5'8" - felt too damn big for me. I had both bike suspensions adjusted for my weight, and I much prefer the handling of the MV, probably because it's just so much smaller and lighter. Obviously, the 1200R has top spec suspension over the 1200, so I'm sure it makes a big difference.
Did you feel any difference in power? I am asking because on a shootout (from Lamb chops), the Street RS was faster than the Brutale 800 RR on the quarter mile!
Owen one of them and had the pleasure of riding both. The presented MV RR is a specific model from MY17 (color scheme) and the last of its kind EURO3 complaint. If set a proper aftermarket exhaust (ex: SC or FM) you will get the same power and performance as the F3 running at the SBK ;-) (the engine is the same). Both bikes are amazing, but the MV is more.... brutal. You feel it better, its more thrilling - better on twisty roads. At the end, as someone said, buy the one you like most. However, if you see it from the collectors perspective, MV will be probably the one. In my point of view... MV is a bike to keep in the garage for .. life! Have fun and ride safe!
@@PetroHead I had a Street triple Rs, trust me… the brutale is faster, “exclusive” (because of how expensive and low production of a motorcycle it is compared to a triumph street triple)

The naming just weird with MV, it's a bit off. i think both is the same bike brutale 800 and dragster 800, it just with a bit here and there twist like the handle bar and tail light but basically it's the same. for example Ducati Daivel also came with Diavel and X Diavel S which is same bike but a not the same if that make sense. But i don't know why they go with Brutale naming with their 1000 cc when it looks more like Dragster, the handle bar and tail light from Brutale 1000 match the Dragster more than Brutale.

A German company owns Ducati. They oversee the electronics. They make sure standards are high. This is the reason why the desmo service on Ducatis have been raised to 15K instead of the 7 or so of yesteryear. Things are better when Germans get involved. Italians do what they do best... Horsepower and Style.
Racing is Ducati's specialty. But the Germans know how to build great road vehicles. This is why the marriage makes sense and this is what I was trying to explain in the video.
Italians also build quality vehicles... the marriage makes sense only because Germans brought cash to develop further aspects that before were on a budget
@@a.h.9324 Which is why they are so damn reliable these days. Let the Italians go mad on the styling and rawness and let the Germans handle the internal things we never see anyway. win/win 👍

BTW... Guy.... You kick ass!
Actually if I even have enough money to buy a Ram 1500 or a Toyota Tacoma or Honda Civic this just pushed them down a few notches
hahaaaa.... why you ride it on TC Lv5? thats the highest eletronical-break you can adjust to this bike... if you have the chance again, try Lv. 2!!! in this you front wheel will on get up to 5 cm off the ground, not more not less, each curve you want it. ;) that's the mode to fall in love with. i know it from the 2020 dragster rr green. thx for the nice review. keep it up.
PS: if not seen yet, search the QD-exhaust on this.
=-D
Wasn’t my bike but if I ever ride it again will try it. Thanks
Thanks for the tip, Matt!
No TFT? OMG! Now Kawasaki ninja650 have a nice TFT too!🤣🤣🤣
The new ones do. This was 2017 model.
really, the display is functional except trip ODO numbers are tiny, and resetting after fill up is a learning experience...
Not meaning to be a Cock, but the sprag clutch is about to let go, could here it crackling a bit on startup.
Its Italian.. They do things the "Italian" way. 🤘
That dashboard is a budget model of a bike from 2011
To be fair, it’s a 2017 model.
@@PetroHead I know but I meant the dash board is kind of old school on a bike that are very expensive,
@@RUclips_Globetrotter agreed. It's more than I had on the '97 Duc Supersport, so I am not complaining. Don't know what I am missing, I guess.
@@guyhenry3047 But Agusta is probably the most expensive bike brand in this segment
Moto Guzzi, Aprilia are both desgned and manifactured in Italy. Ducati is produced in Italy not Germany. Mv Agusta is not married to japan
A German company owns Ducati. They oversee the electronics. They make sure standards are high. This is the reason why the desmo service on Ducatis have been raised to 15K instead of the 7 or so of yesteryear. Things are better when Germans get involved. Italians do what they do best... Horsepower and Style.
Ducati has been around for years and years and the started winning with Fogarty before the Germans arrived
Racing is Ducati's specialty. But the Germans know how to build great road vehicles. This is why the marriage makes sense and this is what I was trying to explain in the video.
Italians also build quality vehicles... the marriage makes sense only because Germans brought cash to develop further aspects that before were on a budget
@@PetroHead Aprilia Tuono V4X, 165kg with 221bhp, give it a try
Ducati's are built in Italy not Germany.
The Germans are in charge of the engineering / electronics is what I meant.
Ducati is owned by VW group....both are correct 😜
@@a.h.9324 Which is why they are so damn reliable these days. Let the Italians go mad on the styling and rawness and let the Germans handle the internal things we never see anyway. win/win 👍
Motorbike for single guy, or his girlfriend just love to sit on the fuel tank...
Ya, I took the passenger pegs off after a couple rides with my teenage son.
Or she gets her own bike
This is a bike for pulling hoes, not keeping girlfriends.
Ram mounts are absolute trash it blows my mind people still suffer them
Accomodated middle classes
Good video BUT your audio sucks
What’s wrong with it and in what parts of the video?
Dragster 800rc ITS the best looking Streetfighter 🔥🤙Ducati Streetfighter. Looks japanese 🤮
Also the most expensive.
You live in America, there are no corners. Anyone can pin anything down a straight. Thrash it through some proper spaghetti.
I live in America and there are no corners so therefore, I should thrash it around some spaghetti (assuming corners)... I don't get it.. but maybe I'm not supposed to whatever lol 🤷
So clear you have zero clue about motorcycles 🤦🏻♂️
The only clue I don't have is what you're talking about. Since you know more than me, do explain.
