  • Does white people’s happiness oppress minorities? Do black people need black dentists? Should first graders learn about gender identities in school? Should teachers publicly celebrate kids “coming out” to them as nonbinary? Today I’m reacting to these and more of the most insane takes I’ve seen coming from TikTok this week.

Claiming that one is "non binary", creates a system of binary and non-binary. Thus, once again, putting the person in a binary.

I also have issue with defining something in a negative definition way... you can't define something by what it is not _(i.e. "I am a non-dragon")_
For people who like to make up words they really "non-succeded" to "not-f*ck" that up by making a new "non-word"!!

Yeah, I'm just thinking of moving back to Mexico if I ever have kids at this point. My white mexican mom didn't risk her life by giving birth in America. Just so I could have citizenship just so this country would turn into a dumpster fire since 2020 and today. It's probably going to be awful in 2030 or 2040. America is really devolving ever since the pandemic.

I know its hard but mentally try to calm your stress and anxiety. Those hormones go straight to baby. That will shape baby's brain diff. Pls try to take deep breaths and dont indulge those thoughts too hard for now. I had stabby, heart pains once when getting too worked up over this stuff and had no choice but to calm my breathing and switch my brain off. Do your best for baby in your belly now. Also hormones excude from our body and pass to others even through breastfeeding so just bare that in mind. Im sorry youre feeling this way and there are maybe other options where you can homeschool or gather your local community to teach the kids in turn. Im glad I never had kids and this is one reason. My child would have been 21 now and, as a mixed-race baby, likely racist about me.😢

I’m a high school teacher and while I agree that we do not need to discuss sexuality with students, I can honestly say that sometimes students just tell you stuff that you didn’t ask to know or even want to know. Not heavy stuff but random things like “I’m gay” or “that’s my girlfriend/boyfriend.” It’s the responsibility of the teacher to shut it down, though. But sometimes they just trust you. However, it’s absolutely necessary for the teacher to draw the line and set the boundary. It’s like, I’m here for you if you’re seriously in distress or in need, but I’m an adult and I’m not your friend. You shouldn’t be validating me nor should I be giving you advice about your sexuality or validating you. Yes, I’m married and I live in the same city as you but otherwise leave me alone. Go talk to your damn mom and finish my assignment before I give you a zero. Bye now 👋🏾 lol

I just roll my eyes for things like this. Nobody can make a person feel how they think they should feel. It's rediculous! I am sick and tired of this same rhetoric and lumping people into groups based on a physical feature. How is that fair for anyone? You are basically categorizing people's culture based on what shade of brown you are, the lightest brown being what is commonly called white people. I held up a piece of white printer paper and compared it to my skin. They didn't match. So I am not white. I am more of a very, very light brownish pink maybe? This is especially true when I get a sun tan.
As for me, I don't believe in different races, only different cultures. The only race is the human race. As soon as we can all realize that truth, the sooner we will have peace and camaraderie on the world.

on one hand, yes normal schools arnt great
on the other hand, their most useful feature
      aside from basic education
is teaching social skills through interaction
imho its a disservice to a child to remove them from large social groups
      people are already pretty isolated
      dont guarantee their loneliness
especially given the fact that once u get a job and leave school
it takes *alot* more efffort to go out and meet people
it takes work to find a school u believe would teach ur values
but i think social interaction is too important to just let go
as long as u have a work around or have factored this in
then its probs fine, good luck o/

That school social justice day was horrifying. So I went to a Bible College to get a one year Bible certificate after high school because I was a Christian and I wanted to spend a year kind of solidifying my faith before joining the military, which was my goal. That year absorbed in the Bible college culture completely scrambled my brain. Being constantly bombarded with the message that being a minister of some kind, pastor, missionary, evangelist, ect was the highest calling caused me to adopt that calling too. When you’re surrounded by people telling you that is the best way to be, it’s hard not to just start believing it yourself and wanting to be one too. When I graduated I was just confused and lost, but luckily since I fell under the spell as an adult after a year away from that school I found myself again, joined the military, and felt ashamed of myself for letting myself be led so far astray from my own desires and goals.
Now I imagine these kids in a similar obsessive culture, idolizing social justice and activists instead of religion and preachers, without any of the prior life or goals that I had to find myself later, or even an opportunity to get away from that atmosphere and breathe fresh air… it makes me sad for them, and scared for the direction our country is going.

Really the only kind of social issue we touch on is treat everyone with respect period. Its my job to teach them the necessary information they need to be a functioning member of society (how to read, how to add, etc) and how to behave. Of course, I build relationships with kids to an appropriate teacher-student level, but there is a line to be drawn and not stepped over. No reason 7 year olds need the agenda of society forced on them. These teachers make me nervous for the other kids. He made the comment that he wasn't in a good place financially and how we should help him out (keep in mind, being 23 and in this day and age not very many people are "doing good" financially). My husband explained that we're taking care of his grandmother and have a lot going on financially so even if we had money we would be taking a big risk giving it. He got upset and got in my husband's face. Saying its has to be because my husband is white and hes black. My husband said that there is a black man at his place of employment. Hes very sweet and kind. Hes always happy, and that maybe it isnt his(his ex friend) color of skin but maybe his attitude that is preventing him from making a living and how the world isnt going to just give him stuff. The entire value of any type of activism is that it happens organically; people are genuinely outraged about this or that, and they organize their lives so that they can protest or promote something. It's not something that can be TAUGHT, and it's definitely not something that should be actively promoted or pushed on anybody - real activism speaks for itself and promotes itself. This isn't activism that these people are promoting; this is early indoctrination to ensure that the children they teach will grow up to be basically nothing but another vote against things they don't like, and another person shouting in a mob. This is actively encouraging them to throw away their individual potential in the name of politics, and that sucks.

How about we take a day out to teach our kids about credit and budgeting. only takes a day. I've sat down with each of my younger siblings and their significant others when they graduated High School to show them with a simple spreadsheet how to build budget for their monthly expenses. We also go over the basics of credit and how to build good credit. I walk them through the process of getting their first student credit card and share all my failures and successes. Fast forward 6 years to the oldest and they have an 800+ credit score, married, own a house, 2 cars, doing a lot better than I was when I was that age. And it only took a day of my time.

Lol had a teacher in 70's walk in to class and gave kids a list and asked if they had certain symptoms , by the end most the class thought that had this terrible illness. This diversity teachers are doing the same thing and using stereotyping questions on top of misleading them.

Awesome to hear you are in Australia. Your balance of view and raw empathic mindset will be wonderful for the people who are getting trapped with all the crap that is being fed to them.
Your opinions are always spot on with the content you comment on...Thank you 😊

There is a scene in Babylon 5 (Sci Fi show) where they talk about how earth has evolved and no longer have homless:
"Earth doesn't have homeless. We don't have the problem. Well, yes, there are some displaced people, here and there, but they've chosen to be in their position."
Every time I see the term "unhoused" i think of this quote from '96.

It's here in Australia and it's being taught in schools. There was a teacher that got caught transitioning a student with hormones and the parents weren't aware, when the parents found out they took the teacher to court. Apparently what the teacher did wasn't illegal so they had to pass laws to make it illegal again. This was in Victoria i guess. Also the mandates were over the top, Australia was the worst for it. Peoples lives were ruined for refusing to comply and they were brandished as extremists and terrorist. Christian schools aren't allowed to teach Christian values anymore because apparently non believers don't feel welcome in Christian schools so they need to turn them into non denominational schools and take away the rights of Christian parents to raise their children according to their own values. Many people on the left in Australia seem to believe that Australia is a theocracy and that Christians should be banned from partaking in the system because if a politician is a Christian it's automatically a theocracy? We have completely sold all our land and manufacturing to China and people like Pauline Hanson who have fought for years to stop it have been branded as white supremists and she got thrown in jail on trumped up charges to shut her up.......Australia is arguably worse than American, it's just Americans are louder so we notice it more. Australians have been ignoring the slow decent to hell because we've taken the freeebies and kept our mouths shut about it all. Rebel News and Real Rukshan and Avi Yemani have covered it, they have of course been labelled as extremists and everyone still believes channel 10's The Project is real news. Also there's like one semi conservative/ libertarian news outlet in Australia, sky news, and leftists are trying to get it shut down for misinformation and extremism and think that Rupert Murdoch who owns sky news is the Antichrist because they can't stand the one and only channel that dosnt comply with WOKE indoctrination. Most people seem fine if you Dont discuss politics with them, which is why you probably haven't noticed, but if you probe them, you will soon see and they are every bit as reactive as these American WOKE, it's just that Australians are more apathetic about politics in general as a cultural norm, but if you start the conversation, you will see its here too. Australians disowned family and lifelong friends over the mandates, people couldn't say goodbye to loved ones over that....and everyone cheered and dobbed in their neighbours, never forget that.

I'm a teacher and I can assure you that most schools aren't like this and there is no indoctrination going on.. While schools are definitely left-leaning, there are plenty of conservative teachers as well and things don't go typically go to the extremes that we see on these videos. My suggestion is if you are a parent and concerned about this, get involved with the school, talk and work together with your child's teachers, be a part of your child's education and find out for yourself what things are like at your local school. You'll most likely find out that things are fine, and the people at the school will appreciate your support and involvement in your child's education. If you do find something concerning, continue to be involved, go to board meetings and try to make changes. And the "buzzwords" don't always indicate an issue... For example, social emotional learning where I work wasn't any kind of indoctrination at all - it was meant as a way to help students with support of their mental health, emotional well-being, and the stresses of school and life. But I can see how people could use this label as a trojan horse to introduce something else entirely. Amala's advice of "listen and challenge" is spot on. Listen first and challenge if you have to.

The fact that they will call anyone who's white skinned racist no matter where they're from. Mexico, Ireland, Scotland, the UK, it doesn't matter. Hell, even these people have made me feel so little of myself since I'm a white skinned hispanic. At times I look at myself and I'm like "Why couldn't my skin have been tanned from birth? Am I really not Hispanic because I'm not tanned or have a big @$$ or curves?" Which the stereotypes they have for Hispanic people especially for Hispanic women are very sexualized. And I feel bad for not looking like these sexualized tan skinned stereotypes of what these sick people accept. I'll always be a white villain in their book just because my mexican mom and Irish dad both passed me down their white skin.
