Many many farmers provide for small businesses by letting out workshop space and barn spaces, outdoor storage etc for all sorts of people. Many of which try hard with the dream of working for them selves and provide a 'cottage industry' to others in the local area for home grown/made goods and services you cannot buy in major huge stores. Farmers are a god send for many who cannot afford to rent high street premises. Never has this been even spoken in parliament that farmers provide much more than food, they provide livelihoods too many people. They have to make money to keep going, do not inject cancer into the spine of Britain by taxing them to death. This country is morally destroyed.
So they're getting income from renting out buildings, or diversifying, yet most claim they're only on a minimum wage. Maybe supermarkets should be paying them more.

I stood on the Brixton Road as farmers in their tractors returned to their homes. I dropped my bags and applauded and it was deeply emotional.

Many many farmers provide for small businesses by letting out workshop space and barn spaces, outdoor storage etc for all sorts of people. Many of which try hard with the dream of working for them selves and provide a 'cottage industry' to others in the local area for home grown/made goods and services you cannot buy in major huge stores. Farmers are a god send for many who cannot afford to rent high street premises. Never has this been even spoken in parliament that farmers provide much more than food, they provide livelihoods too many people. They have to make money to keep going, do not inject cancer into the spine of Britain by taxing them to death. This country is morally destroyed.

So they're getting income from renting out buildings, or diversifying, yet most claim they're only on a minimum wage. Maybe supermarkets should be paying them more.
@@AlanFagan-y5l I am quite sure the majority are not paying themselves much at all. This isn't diversifying, farms have always held usage of their land for others. Some need this tenancy to maintain aging buildings and maintenance of the property and not to make money for themselves at any great degree. Supermarkets are another thing.

We all support the farmers - we need to protect our food supply and our beautiful countryside! We do not want our beautiful countryside destroyed by solar panels and wind farms! We do not want our green belt built on to house migrants! The farmers are fighting for us all!!!
