If you would like to purchase the Hummingbird Duo Kit featured in this video please visit our store: store.birdbrai...
Join Jolie Pelds from the Iowa Science Center and Kelsey Derringer from BirdBrain Technologies for this live webinar. We’ll explore the materials included in the STEM Scale Up Grant maker cabinet awarded to schools across Iowa.
This webinar will focus especially on the Hummingbird Duo Robotics Kit (made by BirdBrain), and how it can be used with other maker cabinet materials. Kelsey will also cover features of the Hummingbird Duo, how to use it with different technology options (laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, iPads, and smartphones), demonstrate the available free online resources from BirdBrain, and discuss projects and classroom integration strategies.
This webinar is best suited for Iowa teachers who have received the STEM Scale Up Grant maker cabinet for 4th grade and up, for any year prior to 2019. Teachers who received their cabinet for the most recent year, 2019, should tune in on December 3rd as that information will be more relevant. No prior experience with coding or Hummingbird necessary! All are welcome.

Make sure the Hummingbird is plugged in and shows as connected on the BirdBrain Robot Server before you hit the "Open Snap!" button.

@@Birdbraintechnologies42 I forgot to say that I don't have the hummingbird, in my school we only have to do the programming because we are in virtual classes, I don't know if I can work without hummingbird?

@@sanchezhernandezjosemanuel1912 yes, you can get the blocks directly by going to this link: snap.berkeley.edu/snap/snap.html#present:Username=birdbraintech&ProjectName=HummingbirdStart - then save that project into your account so you can access it later. Click the arrows pointed at each other in the top right to get rid of the canvas and see the blocks. BTW, you can also program a few of our Hummingbird robots over the internet - check out www.birdbraintechnologies.com/remote-robots/
