The Wolf lake site is very nice but you are on a populated lake, great place to hang a hammock by the water. Call something paradise, kiss it goodbye but do you remember the number of Tim’s site? it looks kid friendly (flat and spacious) and was it weedy?
That site was 311 on Crab Lake. It was nice. Rock on the side where we landed the canoes, but shallow. The other side might have been a bit weedy. A good chance in the spring and early summer that there may be a lot of mosquitos as it was quite wet with standing water towards the thunder box.
I have one of those candle lanterns but am really paranoid to use it. It's safe so close to the tent? Would you leave on all night? I have heard ppl do.... Lovely trip, except the rain, but par the course! Hopefully you got out this past weekend for one more trip!
I did leave it going all night. As long as it is hanging from it's chain it will not be too hot for the tent. I had left a bit of ventilation open. It actually did keep the tent slightly warmer by a few degrees than it was outside. Tim did get out this weekend. I had work to do so I unfortunately did not.
Thanks for putting up this video. Very peaceful to watch. I stayed on the point site on Wolf last year in October. It is a nice site, but very exposed to the wind. Were you staying on the east side of Crab on your first night?
Well done. Excellent fall colors and views from the hill top. Nice tarp set up on night 1.
Love all of your videos. Please keep uploading, it’s so relaxing to watch.
Ohh i haven't been there in a few years. Great spot this time of year. Cheers.
Nice trip thanks 🇨🇦👍

@@TwoMenandaCanoe good to know, thank you. My dog and I were on 310 last year. I’m trying to get my son there with the Grandkids but we’ll see!
Crab is a great lake, one of my favs In Kawartha Highlands. It gives you the impression that you are much further up north.
It is really nice.
