I just had a conversation with a good friend of mine that I used to work with in the entertainment department at Magic Mountain from 91 - 98 who is now a ride electrician foreman. I asked him point blank what is going in the area where the Golden Bear Theater was. Believe it or not, he DOES NOT KNOW! I would have bet the ranch that as a foreman he would be in the know. Park management is keeping a tight lid on whatever is coming. I wish I could post something more that would get everyone going crazy about this. If he tells me anything, I'll post it ASAP.

I can guess its going to be another shitty prototype that they will make better in another state after.
Or he is under a strict NDA that he cannot disclose. IDK is usually the recommended universal answer for if they know what’s going on.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas is my home park and I think Magic Mountain might be going to get a dive coaster ride like ours. We have a Owl for our logo.
"Cycling" could also be for spinning, like Mack Extreme Spin. But I think the bike style coaster is more likely. Hope next sign has Epic thrills are "rotating" in :D
Haha I would def love to see a Mack Extreme Spinner, but just don’t see the park doing it 😞
It would be a pretty good coaster for the park though. The first two have been huge hits, great for thrill seekers and most of the GP. Would compete with the Fast and Furious coaster.@@explorationthemeparks

Hey, I'm guessing that the clues on the new attraction is:
1. Power up....maybe another launch coaster as aready mentioned
2. Epic Thrills are CYCLING IN....tearing down Golden Bear in preparation of the new attraction......out with the old, in with the new, PLUS, with it being EPIC THRILLS I believe it's going to be more than just a 'family' driven attraction so keep that in mind as well, and.....
3. They're GOING ALL OUT...in that it's going to be something that other parks doesn't have, that SFMM hinted at in that it's going to be something UNIQUE.
I really like your 2nd assumption, I hadn’t thought of that! The markings make it appear that it will have a fairly large/ long layout. I do agree that it will be some sort of launched coaster. Time will tell but definitely is exciting! Now let’s get rid of one train ops! 🤣
Great update, I too wonder what's going here, I know that most people think that the term cycling in means it has something to do with motor bikes, but I don't really think that, I think it means about ride cycles like the number of times it cycles around the layout, that's what I think it means. But we'll just have to wait and see what it'll be
My bets are either a B&M .. I’m thinking dive coaster or wing coaster or an intamin swing launch coaster. I definitely see a family like coaster here too like big bear but “epic thrills” point me in a different direction and the steam punk bird logo screams a steam punk themed wing coaster maybe launched and the “cycling in” gives me swing launch vibes. Idk we’ll have to see the possibilities are endless

Ok so out of left field but… Idk why but the orange part of the poster is giving I-box track? Like the t-Rex? And RMC recently teased the t-Rex is coming? The bird clue maybe because birds are descendants from dinosaurs?!?
Probably far fetched because on one hand… it’ll be kinda redundant having 2 I-box coasters being built back to back… but on the other hand, SFMM did build 2 möbius looping coasters back to back 🤷🏽♂️
Yeah, you never know! I’ll be honest, I would be surprised if SFMM was that creative with the bird connecting to a dinosaur. But kudos to you for thinking of that!

Yep, I have said it a few times, a family multi launch coaster like Big Bear at Dollywood would work at Magic Mountain right across from the kiddie area...

@SenpaixSteve I realize that Superman is not nearly as good as it used to be. Have a little faith in Magic Mountain that they will do something great that people from all over will want to ride, like when X2 reopened.
im really gonna have to move to the east coast to get a b&m giga at my home park. so cal gets nothing but prototypes lul.
If this is anything less than an excellent tradional Hyper, preferably a Giga I have no reason to ever go back to MM

Went on Saturday, didnt ride anything, thought this place sucks and why do they close at 6 on a Saturday, left and went to Knotts, had a great time..If this new project is anything less than a really good traditonal hyper, preferably a Giga I have no desire to ever go back to MM....i guess i could add an intamin blitz to that list but it would have to be insanely good, like put Velocicoaster to shame (as in Layout) i know it wouldnt be themed very much if at all, in fact how can you ever try to claim to be a top tier park without an Intamin (superman doesnt count) and/ or a Hyper (Goliath is pathetic)
