    Honest and very true, to the point! Curdao DC uses older iDC4 brake, iDC5 is actually where DC starts to deliver, and still it is no way better than a fair Daiwa or SVS system from Shimano itself. Abu IV CBVI outlasts it as well. DC gets above the others if you need to throw against the wind. 8x4DC system is even better, but it's fitted to Antares and Excence DC , when ch are like 6-7 times the price of those we talk about here. Curdao 200DC might be something for heavy to xh lures. It still uses iDC4, but heavier lures are less demanding for the reel if the spool tension knob is adjuster against the book , just traditional way. SLX DC XT 2022 is using iDC5,and might be the step in DC model to start with, as well as Scorpion DC ,which is JDM reel ... So price gets higher with shipment and duty...at least for me in Europe.

    New sub, good video. I just got the Tatula SV TW. Awesome reel. I bought it for a skip/pitch reel. You didn’t touch on it but it skips perfectly out of the box. I also have Curado DC, JDM 71 SLX DC, JDM Scorpion DC. I came to the conclusion about DC, that they are better suited for moving baits. Curado is my crank reel, SLX DC is my burning banks with spinnerbait reel, Scorpion DC is my frog reel, simply because I haven’t found what it’s perfect for yet. I have medium size hands and all those models fit in palm. But Tatula SV TW is smaller and more comfortable, less blocky feeling than Shimano. Can’t wait for your review. I hope this helps those who are considering those models of reels.

    Just ordered my Tatula tw sv103 for $127 before tax. Very excited especially the about the price. It also is the JDM model and is getting shipped overseas. Only difference is some purple accents on the reel bearings and brakes and that is because it is the 8:1:1 gear ratio, the lower gear ratios are red, then gold for the slowest gear ratio which is a nice touch.

I’d say my SLX DC backlashes (or overruns might be a better word for it) more than any reel I own. And yeah I agree you absolutely have to thumb a DC reel unless you tighten it down more than needed. • @Everything_Beast
      @Everything_Beast  Год назад +1

      I use seagur invisx 12 lb. I set the brakes at 7 to 8 on the daiwa. The tension to where the spool stops shaking back and forth

    • @ogjmcnutt9756
      @ogjmcnutt9756 Год назад +1

      @Everything_Beast oh OK an setting it to this setting makes the Daiwa cast out further because like you said out the box it's set pretty on you know

    • @Everything_Beast
      @Everything_Beast  Год назад +1

      @ogjmcnutt9756 yes out of the box they have the tension knob set pretty much where you want it. Some people loosen it or tighten it alittle to their liking. In general, the looser the tension knob the farther the cast, but you have to adjust the brakes to keep it from backlashing. The dc applies the brakes on and off as it calculates, so you get farther casts but that's also why it backlashes from time to time. Play with the brakes settings a bit up and down, you should get it to a good common ground on distance to backlash.

    The SV designation is a smaller spool diameter. A bit less line helps it cast lighter lures farther.

    • @Everything_Beast
      @Everything_Beast  2 года назад +1

      Yeah its stands for Stress free versatility. It is a smaller spool but also made of lighter material (Duraluminum) that aids with lighter lures. I believe it's also how the spool interacts with the braking system.

      @@Everything_Beast I respectfully disagree, out of 100 cast in the wind, against the wind, really light lures, heavy lures, frogs, small to large swim baits, etc. I’ve maybe bird nested 2-3 times. I’ve used a diawa and I do agree it is smaller but if your rod and bait caster balance each other out, the curado fits very well. Unless like you said, someone with baby hands 😂 might go for the daiwa. Thanks for the video.
