Just seeing the words “Don’t forget me now, you hear?” made me choke up. I had a grandmother suffering from dementia at the time I played this game, and that story really hit home. It perfectly depicted how she seemed to have constructed an ideal world in her head in which she was a teenager again while everyone she had loved throughout her life was alive and well.
Thank you for sharing. That story really affected me as well. It's hard to imagine any other game nailing the complexity of emotions in saying goodbye to a loved one with dementia quite as tactfully.
Grandma had Alzheimer's and she never forgot me, BUT the dementia was horrible. She could not dress herself, she couldn't walk, she was too afraid of the TV if we so much as showed her The Andy Griffith show. If a disease could ever be evil, it would be Alzheimer's.

P.S. the Blondes Have More Guns footage made me lose it, I thought i was the only person who knew about that movie lmao
Really happy to hear that! Yes, the Michael McGaharn rabbit hole sent me down some wild avenues. The fact that Jansen has ties to Troma Entertainment was a plot twist I never could have expected.
@@Majuular Sounds like we fell down the same rabbit hole, but as long as you didn't end up playing Detective Barbie: Mystery Cruise for the PS1 to hear his voice work you're probably okay (it was great though)
I was 15 when this game came out I played like little bit of the intro part. Now I can see what I missed out 15 years ago. Kaim meeting his daughter caught me off guard as well. I've been missing out!
Very nice to se you cover this gem of a game. If it were marketed as a Final Fantasy title, it would have gotten so much more attention and love at the cost of it's creative independence. The 1000 Years of Dreams is one of the biggest achievements in writing you could ever ask for in a video game, on top of the particular segments in Nier. To an extent, I wish we allowed VAs to adlib more with their characters. With English being the "official" release, it makes a character like Jensen stand out that much more because he's real. He's not written to be goofy or annoying, he just is. He isn't written to be lovestruck or to have his own less-than-pure goals, he just does. They trusted the talent and the talent trusted the story. The biggest crime in all of this is that it can't even be emulated that well. The only option you have is to play it on OG hardware with the discs. It may seem like a high barrier but given how expensive some games are and upgrading PC rigs can be... just spend $200 needed to be able to play it and bam, you can also go back and play through other older games too. Like Blue Dragon, even if it is a bit more of a game-ass game.
You already did Legend of Dragoon, and now this??? You deserve much praise. Blue Dragon would be incredible to see a visit to as well. They represent a triad of JRPG perfection.
I remember playing this back at launch. This is one of many RPGs that deserve a remake. In regards to the 1000 Year of Dreams, even when I was younger I remember enjoying them. One of them I always remember whenever thinking about them. The story of the town festival, where Kaim is approached by a villager asking why he doesn't celebrate with them. He begins to explain how the festival they know today was originally started after a natural disaster from 200 years earlier and it was originally a memorial day. It's the sort of short story you could only experience in the eyes of an immortal being. How events can not only shape a culture, but change as the culture shifts.
This video is top shelf. Great job at highlighting this game most of us either glossed over or missed entirely, and really getting across what makes it special.
39:09 Jokes like this one here here are why Majuular is one of my favorite RUclipsrs. The out of left field Tim and Eric joke right in the middle of a goddamn Lost Odyssey review is such a mood whiplash. I spent damn near 5 minutes perfectly clipping this joke for later viewing and I was smiling like an idiot the entire time.
It's a common thing to say for channels like yours, but I was deadass thinking to myself "would be nice to have a majuular vid to watch while working" and here you are!
Wow, what a blast from the past. I remember playing this close to release despite the fact I was never really a fan of JRPGs, but came to love it. I guess I have it to thank for all the RPGs I ended up playing. Also: I watch a lot of videos from a lot of people but I have to say that you have become my absolute favourite out of all of them. Your videos are remarkably well made, completely engaging no matter how long they are and most importantly, comfy as hell. Puts a smile on my face whenever I see you've uploaded a new one. Keep it up, man. You deserve the utmost success.
I appreciate the kind words & super thanks MisterMagick! I try to write my videos in such a way that both fans and people with no prior knowledge of the subject can still dig them, and I'm glad to see that's the case 😁
This seems like a game I would've enjoyed playing! It's clear it has a lot of heart, which is about as crucial a building block for JRPGs as it is for Captain Planet.
What a perfect fit for this channel. A thoughtful game given a gorgeous in-depth overview and review by a thoughtful reviewer. Thank you for all your hard work, I look forward to partaking in this video a multitude of times as I cannot get enough of your work!
I've not read Vagabond, and it seems the main character of that is a template for Kaim, but the art of him with an exhausted but unyielding face with reddish eyes, almost like he had dried tears, is my favorite character art, period.
Since you mentioned having something to watch afterwards, I watch several of your videos regularly on repeat. You have an excellent voice and your humor just lines up with mine. I love that you're touching on a lot of classic RPGs that I just haven't seen people get to. Thanks for that. I'll be watching for some time, I have no doubt.
Just hearing the OST immediately makes me cry. I just need 5 seconds of the song that plays during "hanna's departure" to make me bawl my eyes out. Lost Odyssey is one of the best and most under-appreciated games of all time. Anyone who can get their hands on it should absolutely play it. I played some 15 years ago when i was 17/18ish. I'm now 33, i can't wait to replay it once I'm done with baldurs gate 3
I had heard of Lost Odyssey, but never played it. This was an eye opening video and really want to get it for myself to read through all the Dreams. And spending two hours with you really helped me unwind and de-stress from my current goings-on, Majuular. So I do wish to thank you for that. Your commentaries always spark joy when they pop up in my feed. Don't stop what you're doing and you'll certainly attain the notoriety you deserve.
Thanks for the amazingly high quality content. I have never played Lost Odyssey but after watching this, I have to find a way. This is an amazing channel and I can't wait to watch it grow.
Signpost was excellent! Such a non-obvious subject to cover, and just as impactful as anything else in the TYOD. The Village Closest to Heaven was also really great, leaves you on a really uncertain note compared to a lot of the stories.
Hah it was pretty jarring because I played Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery around the same time so going from the somber themes of Odyssey to Capell being angsty for half the game before reverting to normal after getting laid before the final dungeon was whiplash. Out of curiosity have you played Legend of Legaia? Was just wondering since you are obviously a fan of early gen RPG's @@Majuular
For me, the one that sticks in my head the most was Lottery of Life (the one about the city where people believed “Once a Loser, Always a Loser “. Honestly, though, whoever came up with the Thousand Years of Dreams was incredible.
Another banger by Majuular I can watch 5 times over! Thanks for continuing to create incredible game breakdowns, that can be enjoyed multiple times over!
Man, I stopped at the same place Majuular did when I was younger, and I've always regretted not going back to finish it. Even when I was younger, I really loved the 1000 Years of Dream stories and got so excited every time I unlocked one.
I really REALLY need to play this. So many of Lost Odyssey's themes are things i've wanted to see in games. Like a fantasy world's many cultures evolving because of magic. That's just insanely cool
Having the horrible fear of losing someone before I do, and having lost my father a few years ago made things worse. Seth looking at a dying Sed hurt me a lot. This game hurt me lots. It's a great game, but I don't wanna experience a lot of it again.
Yeah, my dad died about a year before this came out. And yeah Seth seeing Sed's final moments triggered me really hard when I played it back then. Like I remember my childhood friend and I playing it, we got to that point, and I started crying hysterically after seeing it. But now I've recovered from all the losses I endured when this came out, and am ready to play it all the way through again. Was able to score a copy at a convention a few years back. Still have it.
This video is nowhere near over --- I'm in Plots Within Plots --- & I make it longer by rewinding over & over & over. What a masterful video about a masterful video game. & I keep CRYING! I have never played this game. I have no prior knowledge of it. & I keep CRYING!!! Thank you Maaj. This is such a precious gift. Thank you.
I recently played Lost Odyssey when you originally talked about making this video and I loved it. As someone who doesn't read that much, I was surprised how much I became invested in the Dreams and went out of my way near the end just to see the rest of them
The 1000 years of dreams is the reason I remember Lost Odyssey. Everyone remembers FF7's original heart wrenching moments, but nothing compares to the ability Lost Odyssey had to make me weep for characters whose faces I couldn't even see. What a profound game, I wish I hadn't gotten stuck halfway through.
This is the best christmas gift i could ever ask for. And it's a nice refresher of a game i played once as a teen myself with an old friend to the end to see how the story unfolded more than the combat.
This is one of the best and most thorough RUclips videos I’ve ever seen. I’m so happy I stumbled upon it. Thank you for all of your hard work and bringing back so many fond memories.
You mentioned the VA for the kids, that they were good. Makes sesne as Kath Soucie voiced Phil and Lil from Rugrats prior to this and Nika Futterman likewise had many similar roles :)
Congratulations on making it through another year and providing so much entertainment for your fans! Although I’ve never finished the game myself, I had the pleasure of watching my cousins play through Lost Odyssey over summer vacation many years ago. We’ve gotten much older and even started families of our own, so it’s really cool to revisit those memories like this. Here’s to another year of creative expression and waiting for your Grandia video. Get your rest, brother!
I have such fond memories of this game! The concept as well is limitless. Thanks Maj for this one,i regularly rewatch the Xenogears and Chrono cross videos.
What a good video. Lil personal but while ive always been facinated by immortality and was afraid of death a long time, in recent years its been a comfort to know that one day no matter how bad stuff is there's an end to it, the thought of having to bear all of that kind of stuff for eternity is maddening. And it does make the good moments even sweeter. Gonna be honest this video did make me cry in a few parts but it truly was a good one, thanks for makin quality videos as usual majular 💚!
So I started watching recently and I've only ever seen the backlogs of most of the videos. Imagine my surprise when I'm early (comparatively) and you're talking about one of my favorite games?? Hell yeah dude
Lost odyssey is a game I remember fondly, and despairingly, as my disc four was apparently damaged and I had to borrow it from a friend to finish it, many years after I started it. Really enjoying your methodical analysis, as always.
That specific Kaim moment early on… that choked me up when I first played it all those years ago, and it just tears streaming again watching this. Love the content btw
I had no interest in this game back in the day but after seeing you review xenogears and skies of arcadia so thoroughly, I can really tell how much this game meant to you even with it's drawbacks.
i've never even played this game before but here i am cryin for these characters i've only just met thru this essay omg amazing work from the dev team and writers, and amazing video from u looking back at it all!
I don't know how you keep this pace AND quality of video releases, but thank you. I always called this 'the real Final Fantasy XIII' at the time and I stand by it to this day. What a game!
I like how calmly you explained the frustrations of disc-swapping and worse, re-installing back and forth. Point of consoles over PC was not needing installs, originally. People still sometimes choose emulating old games over trying to make modern ports work for that reason too.
Having played Lost Odyssey when i was young, a lot of the complex subtleties of its expertly weaved context flew over my head like a dog looking for a ball that you never threw. With age I have endured loss that cut me deeper than any sword and having listened to your graceful retelling of this forgotten story stirred up such emotions in me that I was forced to weep uncontrollably for a better part of your video. I think the line that made me stop what I was doing, letting out a trembling "W-what..?" while listening to you speak was when you recapped the first of the stories from the 1000 years of dreams, Hanna's Departure. "... Kaim has seen death so many times that he intuitively understands how long the dying have left and how to ease their pain." My mother passed very recently from a painful withering disease and I was not there when she finally passed. I wish with everything I have that I could have been there and had known what to say to help ease her pain even a little bit. Thank you for helping me deal with some of those suppressed emotions I had been carrying.
I hope this doesn’t come off the wrong way, but this video feels next level in your pacing and analysis, things flowed seamlessly from one section to another and your conclusion from 1:56:00 and on was beautiful. You do always do a really good job making your reviews immersive, but the sound mixing was extra phenomenal this go around, the whole section about the music starting and looping back around to Gongora’s theme was great. And I think it’s a testament that this video was as engaging and thrilling as your Skies of Arcadia video was, and still is, for me to watch since Skies is my second favorite RPG ever. Always love your stuff!
Thank you very much! Some games certainly lend themselves better to this "holistic analysis" style, and Lost Odyssey's theme are so ripe for exploration that the script practically wrote itself at points.
Thanks for this video. LO is still my favorite JRPG and reading those short stories in the video still brought a tear to my eyes and gave me a much needed emotional release.
I just wanted to say I recently discovered your channel and have been binging all your videos. I really love your analysis style, the ethos of your production and presentation, and identify a lot with your tastes and sensibilities. Thanks for making these videos and please keep doing so if you're able.
I actually adore Gongora as a villian. Hear me out. I love the fact that he doesn't have nkr need a reason to be evil, he just is and is damn proud of it. The voice actor had a hell of a time playing him.
@@KOTEBANAROTExactly. He no longer cared what the ramifications were and embraced all of the evil parts humanity with pride. He is a breathe of fresh air in a sea of "morally gray" "villains".
Not even a minute in and you show me that Agarest footage. Absolutely amazing. That game has gargantuan flaws but I still like how the story and concept of playing through five generations is put together. Setting up combos with your lineup was also incredibly fun and rewarding, too!
There’s really this untold story about why Kaim never considered marrying another Immortal earlier to solve the “outliving your spouse” situation, and how and when he met Sarah. Because from what little hints there are, it seems Sarah was originally like Gongora, going fully into her magic research to the point she never built many relationships, mortal or immortal. She calls Kaim “the only man she ever loved”, which implies that. And unless she had held a torch for Kaim ever since they crossed over together, she only fell in love with him in the maybe 50-100 years when they finally actually met again in Tosca. Like for Kaim, hinting it off with her is great because it kinda solves the issue where he outlived all his previous spouses, even if his kids with Sarah would ultimately still die before them. It really hurts that Sarah as ZERO Dream stories, iirc, because we never get insight either to her original personality, or her current one regarding her relationship with Kaim. What she read in her own journals thoroughly convinced her to stick with Kaim and that she and he love each other, even if really he’s a stranger to her since her amnesia never got cured even by the epilogue.
Between this, Skies of Arcadia, and Tales of Symphonia, youve now covered the three major JRPG'S that made up my formative years. Every time i see one of these videos pop up in my notifications, it's such a welcome treat that transports me back in time and wraps me in a warm blanket of nostaglia. Keep up the amazing work dude!
It's interesting how many people enjoyed both Lost Odyssey and Skies of Arcadia when they were younger, considering how different they are in tone. In any case, glad I could complete the Toaster Trilogy!
Thanks for the video and look back, i loved this game. This, Blue Dragon and End of Eternity (Resonance of Fate) were a few of the games that have wonderful memories of that era.
I quite liked Lost Odyssey. Played it around the same time as Resonance of Fate so those two are intrinsically linked in my memory. I was surprised when I learned a lot of people didn't like Jansen, I thought he had a great arc. He started off as insufferable and really redeemed himself to become a genuinely good guy by the end. btw Resonance of Fate when -civvie- Majuular?
I wonder if thats a common theme, I also played RoF around the same time, though the first like 2-3 times I tried to play it I gave up because I could not grasp the combat, but when I did it was a ton of fun, amazing game.
This game is art and it made me tear up so many times when I played it all those years ago. The scenes you put in your review brought all those emotions back... Love your in-depth look and retrospective view on this game!
I haven’t played Lost Odyssey (and it’s now on my “to play” list) but all the kicking reminded me of Radiata Stories. That game is such an underrated banger imo and I would very much love to see you covering it someday!
24:46 Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth use a timing based attack system like this AND it also applies to magic. AND it has more than one kind of button press so it keeps things more interesting. Also hidden bonus combos you can get that arent telegraphed as obviously. And you can choose not to engage with it or redo attacks as many times as you want until you get it right so its super forgiving.
Also the combat animations are of extraordinary quality. Lost Odyssey is *such* a good game. Its systems, its characters, its story, all so elegantly thought out. Great visual and a transcending soundtrack. One of a kind game, a masterpiece IMHO.
Wow! This is incredible! I played this when it first came out and was stuck in disc 3 at an unavoidable crash in the game. I hadn't even thought about the game since then, but this has conjured about so many feelings! So funny that you mentioned Bogimoray as a wall because this video brought up the memories of me repeatedly trying to get past that bass. Also, this being the first game that really got me too sobbing level tears. Like the game's premise... this video has sparked a whole bunch of memories. The music is coming back as are the characters, despite not having played or even seen any coverage of the game on RUclips. Well done! Loving your channel so far. Looking forward to the rest of the Ultima series as that's what led me here in the first place.
I still have a copy of this game. Played it when it came out but never beat it. I would totally play it again. I remember being brought to tears during most of the short stories, and most of the game in and of itself brought me to tears since my dad died about a year before it came out.
Heres a cool experience: I sleep to your videos often, and I just woke up at 4 in the morning from a particularly vivid dream just to hear your musings on the impact and rememberance of dreams. Your content is really special. This got me pretty choked up. 💛
Goddamn, I got this game not long after its release, it made me ball my eyes out then, I played it again a year or two back and it made me ball my eyes out again, for all its flaws and annoyances, it hits you right in the heart. The song in the background of 1000 years of dreams, I can never hear it without my eyes welling slightly. Those first few notes always get me.
After a few stories I ended up with tears in my eyes after only a few sentences in a new story just because some of the songs are so incredibly powerful ans were now linked with the feelings from the previous stories! That entire section of the game is pure genius.
I’ve figured it out. You remind me of my older brother who would help me play games when I was too young to read. He’s still alive so don’t think this is a sad comment.
This is an amazing video and a beautiful tribute to an overlooked masterpiece of a game. Lost Odyssey dared to be different in an age of - as I remember it - stagnant, uninspired JRPGs. It was mature and emotional with actual characters who had actual arcs. It made me laugh, made me cry, sometimes even made me just...sit and think about stuff. It was exactly the sort of thing I needed to play after years of very similar feeling games. It reminded me that games can be emotional and touching and it's always had a special place in my heart because of that. Hearing some of this music and being reminded of some of the short stories is bringing back the same feelings I had when I first played this. Like there's a little section of my brain partitioned off just for storing memories about Lost Odyssey, which is...kinda appropriate really! It's a damn shame Mistwalker seem content to make mobile games now, but that's where the money is. So thanks for this, thanks for reminding of the far too many things I'd forgotten about, thanks for bringing back a lot of fond memories and thanks for putting me on the "how can I play Lost Odyssey in 2023?" path.

To early to explore space, to late to explore earth, just in time to learn about various games with Majuular!
Earth is flat homie, ain’t nobody exploring space, that’s just silly
space is soyence biggest grift yet
You can always explore other dimensions with DMT.
Really? I have it on XBONE and it seems to run great- I have not had any issues.
Works great on Xbox one/series backwards compatibility
I took my XSX offline right before retroarch in retail mode got shut down. It kills me I didn't install this game beforehand.
You already did Legend of Dragoon, and now this??? You deserve much praise. Blue Dragon would be incredible to see a visit to as well. They represent a triad of JRPG perfection.
Look up his Shadow Hearts and Xenogears vids as well. They are just as good.
@@ZX-Gear I'm not familiar with Shadow Hearts, but the Shadow Tower video was awesome, especially if you are a FromSoft fan
@ZX-Gear Yo I watched that video and it was awesome, thanks 🙌
@YGOFosho Yep. All that is left is From the New World granted it is not a direct sequel but is still in the same universe and leans more to humor.
@ZX-Gear You really should watch that shadow tower one if you haven't tho, I did watch your recommendation 😉
The same story where we learn he lost his wife and daughter.
why? a remake would just be another souless action game with no rpg elements like they did with Final Fantasy. All AAA games nowadays are the same.
@@j.2512ok
The Sin Stone is one I loved reading.
Does it need a remake? I think a re-release is all it needs
This video is top shelf. Great job at highlighting this game most of us either glossed over or missed entirely, and really getting across what makes it special.
I, too, was a dream skipper when I played in high school. Your 1000 Years of Dreams section had me sobbing.
Magnificent video once again man!
There is nothing quite like a sitting down for the day to another deep dive by Majuular. Thank you for the effort you put into each of your videos!
Majuular is a man of culture.
I am a danger to myself and others while editing.
It's a common thing to say for channels like yours, but I was deadass thinking to myself "would be nice to have a majuular vid to watch while working" and here you are!
This game desperately needs a remaster or a sequel. One of the best RPGs I have ever played.
this game's themes are even more relevant nowadays, so you are spot on
shame sakaguchi cant be bothered, hes content to play ff14 and shit phone game crap out of mistwalker
Truly a great jrpg
Despite all he's seen and been through, Kaim is a gentle soul. I utterly adore his character.
You're too kind, glad to hear it :)
Your stuff is up there with some of the best long-form videogame essayists on youtube and you deserve many more subs. Keep it up! Cheers!
Cheers! Appreciate that greatly Caleb.
This. ❤️
I have a copy of the original disc and glad it plays on my XBOX One. My dad got it for me as a gift and I treasured it. It's irreplaceable.
One of my favorite RPG's, the short story "Signpost" still makes me tear up.
Lost Odyessy and Last Reminant was so good. I enjoyed them almost more than ANY classic I have played.
I really REALLY need to play this. So many of Lost Odyssey's themes are things i've wanted to see in games. Like a fantasy world's many cultures evolving because of magic. That's just insanely cool
get ready to cry a lot. I mean it
"Kids aren't stupid..."
*Jump cut to Heavy Rain*
That genuinely made me lol. Good stuff.
@@SirJoelsuf1Yeah. I can't help but to cry with this game. No matter how stoic I usually am, this game breaks me.
You are quickly becoming a new favorite channel, i'm really enjoying your coverage. Keep up the amazing work, and enjoy the holidays.
Cheers, and you too!
Sick, really loved this game when it came out. Those short stories still live rent free in my head sometimes.
Cheers to that booki. Let's make 2024 a good one!
Comparing Gongora to Guy Fieri is something I wasn't expected at all in this video.
Your retrospectives are so well done. You're channeling old school GameTrailers vibes and I love it.
I have such fond memories of this game! The concept as well is limitless. Thanks Maj for this one,i regularly rewatch the Xenogears and Chrono cross videos.
Oh my God this channel just keeps on giving, I literally cannot believe it
What a good video.
I had no interest in this game back in the day but after seeing you review xenogears and skies of arcadia so thoroughly, I can really tell how much this game meant to you even with it's drawbacks.
i've never even played this game before but here i am cryin for these characters i've only just met thru this essay omg
amazing work from the dev team and writers, and amazing video from u looking back at it all!
I remember this from back then but never played it myself, gonna have to rectify that at some point!!
Thank you for the great wrap up of this gem. I hope to see you go through Valkyrie Profile eventually. You're great dude !
Majuular makes fantastic long-form video essays but the thing that always brings me back are bits like Bogdanoffmoray and Cold Steel Kaim.
I spend time on that Coldsteel edit knowing that 3 people would pause and look at it. You are one of the chosen three.
I would love Maj to cover Blue Dragon too, but honestly I just want as many people to know about its boss theme as possible.
I just wanted to say I recently discovered your channel and have been binging all your videos. I really love your analysis style, the ethos of your production and presentation, and identify a lot with your tastes and sensibilities. Thanks for making these videos and please keep doing so if you're able.
This is the inside of a police station.
I actually adore Gongora as a villian. Hear me out. I love the fact that he doesn't have nkr need a reason to be evil, he just is and is damn proud of it. The voice actor had a hell of a time playing him.
I think the implication is, he genuinely got addicted to emotions he derived from his power and special standing in this world
@@KOTEBANAROTExactly. He no longer cared what the ramifications were and embraced all of the evil parts humanity with pride. He is a breathe of fresh air in a sea of "morally gray" "villains".
Absolute masterpiece and a must play for any JRPG fan
Lost Odyssey is such an underrated Gme glad to see you giving it the attention it deserves.
You're spot on about Unreal Engine 3. But what additionally plagued it wasn't the trend in drab colours, but the assaulting BLOOM effect.
Not even a minute in and you show me that Agarest footage. Absolutely amazing. That game has gargantuan flaws but I still like how the story and concept of playing through five generations is put together. Setting up combos with your lineup was also incredibly fun and rewarding, too!
Guys will see this video and just think "hell yeah"
You can just replace my entire combat system explanation with that picture of Charlie from It's Always Sunny at the whiteboard all frazzled
Thank you Maj. I can't imagine the amount of work that went into this video! It's much appreciated ❤
Dandy makes the game. You should be proud of your bird-kin! Adding Cozy Vibes to Zombie Towns.
Also the combat animations are of extraordinary quality. Lost Odyssey is *such* a good game. Its systems, its characters, its story, all so elegantly thought out. Great visual and a transcending soundtrack. One of a kind game, a masterpiece IMHO.
Great video, as always Majujujular. Your content rocks.
Also, Stalker is a great film!
I’ve never played this game, and some parts of this review made me tear up. I guess I’m something of a sentimental boomer myself. 😅 Good job! 👍
I still have a copy of this game. Played it when it came out but never beat it. I would totally play it again. I remember being brought to tears during most of the short stories, and most of the game in and of itself brought me to tears since my dad died about a year before it came out.
Weird how I've been thinking of playing and finishing this game and this video comes along, but an appreciated surprise
Thank you for the Super Thanks Styrotez, I hope you enjoyed the video!
My childhood, the story, the music especially. I cant believe this game never got a sequel, it’s so freakin good. ❤❤❤
Ok that cutscene to gameplay transition at 12:08 was amazing
I’ve figured it out. You remind me of my older brother who would help me play games when I was too young to read. He’s still alive so don’t think this is a sad comment.
I still cried… 😢
Lost odyssey, I loved it ! Very nice to see a review of it !
I played this game almost 20 years ago and the 1000 years of dreams stories still stick out in my mind as being very moving.
This video was a weird way to found out the irate gamer is some weird ghost hunter now.
