I've added fluid in and for some reason it never shows in that bulb. It will run out of the res, and still not show in that little viewer... Any tips? T590
Let us know how this works out for you. The NAPA stuff being ISO 46 and Hydraulic OIL vs. Fluid. Hydraulic Fluid is usually for common sumps (trans and hydraulics). My concern would be that this oil is for dedicated hydraulic only.
Great question! As you know those terms oil/fluid are interchanged often. I didn't even notice until seeing your comment. The Napa AW-46 recommendation came from my Bobcat service department here in Texas. My machine has not had any effects this year from using this oil - probably 120 hours on the machine since this video.
@@ApacheRanch Roger that. I didn't realize Bobcat service had recommended Napa AW-46, thats good to know. I ended up picking up some Traveller Universal Hydraulic/Trans Fluid at Tractor Supply. I'm in Canton, TX.
@@jakeg1342 Same here. Traveller ISO 46. It actually runs a little smoother. Used to whine even at full capacity. I busted a line and lost all the fluid, put the ISO 46 in there and it doesn't whine anymore.
Hydraulic oil expands when hot. Careful not to add too much. When cold level will indicate lower. When hot it will be above full level.
ive used it for years and works great on my bobcat
That’s nice but my beat up old 743 has a sight glass I don’t think you can see through any more.
Your machine is way cleaner than most.

Thanks so much for your help

He did tell me to avoid standard tractor 303 hydro fluid and to only substitute for a AW-46 type. Thanks for your comment!
@@ApacheRanch The Universal Fluid went back to Tractor Supply. I picked up some Napa AW-46 :) Gentleman there said they sell a lot of it.

I thought you can’t run it all the way full because once you run it levels change
Yah. Level goes up when hot. Hydraulic oil expands when hot. He over filled it.
What should the level be when running the machine with an attachment (with the bobcat turned on). Mine goes below the “add line” is that normal?
Should be in the green. Add more.
First comment ya boy
