I would suggest trying to turn off crash detection if your iPhone is having bad battery life.
I did that yesterday and my 15 Pro Max battery is much improved.
Before it was drawing 4% of battery per hour in idle, after turning crash detection off, it is only drawing ~1% per 1-1.5hr.
How do I do that?

I would always stick to 4:3 images instead of 16:9 to use the full size of the sensor. You can crop it to 16:9 later on if you need to
This right here, switching to 16:9 means you're not going to get the full 12mp or 48mp that you would if you used the 4:3. You can see this when you view the info about the photo. Stick with 4:3.

Excellent video. One good feature not mentioned with the action button is that when set it to camera you can not only bring up the camera and take a photo but if you press and hold the action button it will record a video.

It’s all fake news , blown way way way out of proportion. There’s no overheating issue
The action button customization is a game-changer and the camera tips are so helpful for getting the best quality shots. Also the haptic feedback on the keyboard is a cool touch. Keep up the great work Aaron!
Shame they only offer one option for the button. On android you can assign multiple clicks to different buttons etc. So one press does one thing, double oress another, long press another and so on.
This is basically the Bixby button
that is i always said iphone is for idiots, yay we can press button for shortcuts that we can place on homescreen and use without pressing button XD yaaaaay it makes sound when turn off and ON yaaaay features pack

Hello from a huge fan in Denmark
I couldn’t get my iPhone 15 Pro Max to identify faces, so I couldn’t add portrait mode afterwards. It turned out that, the problem was when I switched the camera on to HEIF Max in order to get 48 mp shots. When I went back to 24 mp it detected faces and I could add portrait mode after the photo was taken.

I got the iPhone 15 Pro in natural titanium and it's gorgeous.
Same but the max. I still think aluminum would be fine for a lower price and less weight.

@@Paul317on my 15 Pro Max the battery isn’t good. My 13 Pro Max felt like it was 25 percent better.
My battery on 15 pro max is a beast. But my battery on my 14 pro max was also great.
My 14 pro max was not bad at all thought I would try the 15 pro just sick of big phones but may be regretting it now lol
_16:9 actually zooms into the photo, when you’re using 16:9 you can only get 36MP in brightly lit conditions, and only 9MP in dark conditions; 4:3 opens your cameras, megapixels up to the full 48MP_
_4:3 gives you the entire picture, from there you can simply crop it because you have 48 megapixels of sharpness and clarity_
But after you have to crop every picture one by one. And maybe not even good for insta because nobody fit. I prefer to take pictures 16:9 and I can change back for full pic if I need ( but kinda never need)

When we press my lock button on the right side iscreen normally turns black but my iphone 15 pro max doesn’t. it lock but the screen doesn’t completely turns black. anyone having the same issued?
It’s the always on display
The 80% limit might be a good idea for those commuting a lot and having their phone charging all the time. Otherwise it won't help that much.

my iphone 15 pro max does not show the settings like you describe under "About" it does show themunder battery in the settings option.

I gotta admit since the Power Chimes have been introduced I’ve been thrilled. It’s a nice way to tell that your device is turning on or off when you never know how long to press the power button. iPhones are notorious for being slow to power cycle till the 12.

Apple should add a second action button for the iPhone 16. Just like on mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras, the dedicated custom button is super useful

Super helpful - just got my iphone 15 Pro Max and a bit nervous to migrate all my data from my iPhone 7s(yep!) to the new device. Will all my contacts and photos and notes and gmails migrate as they are backed up on the icloud. And do I have to reinstall all the apps on the new device? In the meantime doing my best to clear duplicate photos (have over 50K images) and dup addresses of 5K contacts prior to migration. Any other tips before I press 'start"? Thanks!!
Excellent. But may I suggest you wait 1-2 beats (seconds) when entering the Settings menu so that viewers have time to navigate to the item you're discussing. We need those beats to catch up with you. Alternatively, perhaps you can slow down a bit? Thank you!

How do you turn off group messages. On my iPhone 11 Pro Max I went into messages and turned it off so only I received the response and not the group,but I don’t see that option.

I have mines set to 80% and my count cycle is at 7 is this a normal cycle already? Got the phone on release day 22nd.
Not sure why Apple only gave the iphone 15 models the 80% charge limit feature🤔

I have had this phone for almost a week and I gotta tell you it is an amazing phone and I came from upgrading from the 14 pro max.
if anyone is wondering the black titanium is super nice and honestly the phone is so much easier and better to grip and hold, but if you’re gonna have a case it really don’t matter but the back glass is definitely not as strong as my old 13 pro max, just seeing some videos on it, i wouldn’t drop it on the back glass like not even once, that shit will crack, heard someone say something about turning crash detection off and i’m going to try to see if it helps with my battery cause i do see it drain sometimes and im not even doing anything

I’m like you I use the optimize battery and let Apple take care of it but the 80% would be good if Apple made a battery that would last a complete day on a 80% charge my 14 Pro Max has better battery after a year than my 15 Pro Max I am disappointed with the battery this year

Hello Aaron, thanks for your great video’s. You explain new features better than anyone out there. I have one question through: stand-by mode works perfectly on my always on iPhone 14 Pro Max in every focus EXCEPT in sleep focus. Screen shuts down after about 20-30 seconds. What am I doing wrong?

you likely have the Motion to wake setting on. You can check this by going settings>standby>night mode>motion to wake. This setting turns off the display unless motion is detected at night, you can toggle on or off.

Should I upgrade from the 14 Pro to the 15 Pro Max? Also, is 256GB enough? And, which color between Natural Titanium and White Titanium would you choose?
Or instead, should I get 13 Pro brand new from parallel importer 3rd party store?
Currently, I have the iPhone 14 Pro Space Black 256GB which has scrolling stuttering, battery life is bad, it has lags in the Camera app and some games and overheating issues.
If you were to upgrade go to the pro max. The battery is better on it than the 15 pro.

@@satxrnhimselfPersonally i would advise the 1TB storage if you rarely upgrade.i only upgrade every 2+years and resell is better on higher storage.I love the blue.Now if you trade in and upgrade every year then id go with lower storage.

That action button is cool, but it is so small that if you have a case you have to really push hard to get it to work. And I'm not about to carry around my brand new 15 pro max without it's case.
