Hanging out to see more wasp content. Getting my inspiration high to start a build of my own.

She is going to be solid as, but still keeping weight in mind as I want it to be fast too.

Would using weaved fiberglass be stronger

      Hi Mate,
Yeah weaved fiberglass is great, double bias is stronger I reckon for some applications. The weave is very strong on two directions. A combination of both is the best. With my little boat, it will be super strong as the stringers along with the floor will create a truss system plus I’ve added two extra stringers and cross stringers.

G'day mate do you mind if I ask you some questions about glassing

      Sure Champ,
Surprisingly I do have a video coming out this week on glassing that may answer your questions though.
Also my transom video may help too, it’s on the channel
      Cheers 🍻

      Thanks mate,
I reckon When I’m done it will be about 40 - 50kgs heavier than the original hull. It will be over twice as strong though and hoping to put a 60 two stroke on.
      Cheers 🍻

Sure is a lot of work getting it right. I think I’ll stick with aluminium but the wasp sure is a nice boat. Wow a fish nipper, a sea wasp, 15hp and 30hp Mercury/ tohatsu. You have it all. 😊

      Hi mate,
Think it will end up with a 60.
Trying to build it strong but not too heavy as I do still want it to be fast 😁
      Cheers 🍻

Would love to a 60hp go on it, I’m just finishing my Haines v17l rebuild at the moment, very close to finishing. I’m already looking for a sea wasp for my next project, I’m ready for the itch again 🤣
