Welcome to the next installment of my Undertale "Gaster Eggs" videos! No, this video has nothing to do with Gaster. It's more of a branding thing at this point, so people know that it's a part of that same "series", and is done in the same comprehensive style.
This installment is mostly focused on things found in and directly around the town of Snowdin. I go outside of that slightly, and even had to exclude something rather large still. How is there possible so much stuff packed in this game!!?

Only Toby would create a shoehorned in room for some extra content in different version, and then proceed to make lore for it, including an entirely new boss battle.

17:11 The "hyper-bolic cucumber chamber" is a TFS's Dragon Ball Abridged reference. In said parody version Goku cannot properly pronounce the name of the "Hyperbolic Time Chamber" and instead calls it things like "Hypertonic Lion Tamer".

I played the switch version before knowing about the dog shrine and its safe to say I was pretty creeped out.

Yo same. My Switch froze when I entered the shrine (ig one of the controllers died or smth) and I thought that dog ballon would jumpscare me.
"It was so snowy I could barely see your bones in front of your face" Has a whole new meaning after Snowgrave. He mentions the deer sisters right afterward, and Noelle mentions she has a big sister in Chapter 2 (I think)

I think the broken game in the (Switch) Dog Shrine is actually just Undertale. I mean, there is another room in Snowdin that also hints at the Annoying Dog being Toby Fox, and the (PS) Dog Shrine holds the Annoying Dog.
It is pretty much confirmed the annoying dog represents Toby because when you kill/spare Toriel at the end of a hard mode run the annoying dog starts talking and completely breaks the 4th wall not to mention the fact that it knows you are playing hard mode and also says something in the lines of "Hard mode coming soon... maybe... eh don't count on it.
Actually the leading theory is that each item on the broken shrine is a callout to the fanbase. The fact that Toby did only that is great
Maybe "you see yourself reflected in the broken pieces of the game" is making fun of people who take 'death of the author' too far, and make up theories that are just their own headcanon, and no longer have much to do with the game.
"It looks like he gave up his will to fight" probably references fans who think the pacifist run is the only valid way to play the game, and the "rock music" is presumably megalovania.

@@kevinm5940 Honestly I always thought it meant how how Undertale is now spilt off into different consoles containing different elements of the game making Undertale technically into broken pieces spread apart from one to the other or you know spitting frisk into different version of themselves on different timeline of themselves in Undertale, or it could just be LOL We're in a disc now (I guess that joke was meant more for PS4 than Xbox)

Sans WAS talking about Dess and Noelle! He may not necessarily be a darkner though. He might be a lightner, which would explain why he bleeds when defeated.

It's established in both Undertale and Deltarune that monsters don't bleed, but humans do. However, in Deltarune Chapter 1 there is a bit at the chessboard where Lancer brings a bucket that he intends to fill with your blood. This implies that Darkners do bleed. Also, it's established that Lighters have a black and white profile in the dialogue boxes and Darkners have a colored profile in the dialogue boxes. Because Sans is a skeleton, his profile is a black background with a white skull. Therefore it is possible that his profile is in color, you just can't tell by looking at it. Perhaps a big reveal moment will show Sans with his yellow and blue eye in the profile of a dialogue box to prove that he is a Darkner. Also, Sans is the only character in Undertale that can avoid our attacks, while Darkners also can avoid attacks in Deltarune, such as when you warn them about Susie. Sans is also the only Undertale character that you defeat by making him tired, which is a common way to defeat Darkners in Deltarune. Finally, in his fight dialogue Sans says that he "gave up on trying to get back a long time ago" but then goes on to say that "getting to the surface" isn't that appealing anymore, either. Perhaps Sans means getting back to the Dark World, since he couldn't have meant getting back to the surface.

Two things of note that I don’t think were brought up in the video is that in the switch version there are 3 different outfits Mad Mew Mew can be in, I’m not sure what causes them or if its random or tied to a FUN value, but it is something that happens. If she is attacked and torn up the sprite will still show her in the same dress.
Another thing of note that I think is really cool is that the hat Sans wears in the casino in the xbox version is actually a direct callback to one of his earlier designs where he was wearing the same hat, this design can be seen in the art book for the game.
17:10 I wouldn't be surprised if this was a reference to Dragon Ball Z with the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, or a reference to the abridged version, where Goku pronounces it wrong.
Oh also! There are 3 different overworld outfits for Mad Mew Mew on the Switch version. Pink, white and black which ranges from most to least likely
I was wondering about that! I have the Switch version and every time I've encountered Mew Mew they wear pink, never seen the other dresses before

I think the restaurant Sans is talking about at 15:04 is the one at the hotel after Hotland. They have a stage and sans is listed as one of their live comedy performers. And the "I'll treat you some time if you're in the area" is a reference to the time he takes you there and gives you all the speech about how maybe you don't need to leave and if he wanted to kill you you'd be "dead where you stand".
Pretty sure the gamer treaty is a reference to the gamefaqs “best games of all time” poll, and the flame wars that ensued when Undertale beat Ocarina of Time

I don't really know if it is a transgerder analogy, but if it is I an really happy that they could get in a body where they feel comfortable with herself
It feels like an analogy, just with a spin on it to not make it feel shoehorned in. I do love how Toby was able to turn a console boss into a likeable character tho

Mad dummy is already translucent and transspacial, why not transsexual? Even so, she's happy, so what gives.
Edit: Actually, as an analogy for trans euphoria and transitioning it's pretty accurate, her character in the pc version was mad mainly because of her body and what it made her go through, the alphys repairing her kinda feels like transitioning and adjusting, and also seems to be really into the "this is the way I am and if that taints your view on the TV character then too fucking bad".

"We are good cherry toys" is a direct reference to the "We are good cherry boys" of Legoshi & Jack's friend group in Beastars (since their "cherry" status is tied to them being virgins aka still having "cherries").

4:06 also the music that comes on the radio is a reference to the Super Mario World Athletic Theme, which you can tell by the distinct instruments being used
And 20:19 is referencing the Kinect as well, which is odd since the dance dance revolution game on Xbox 360 that was alluded to afterwards never had Kinect support. So this might instead be a reference to the Dance Central series of games

With the "Bullets" thing Mew Mew might be referencing Touhou and her own battle. (Which makes sense since Touhou uses female only characters for their bullet hell games and Mad got turned into a girl...)
I thought the same thing and undertale is inspired by touhou, for example asriel fight referencing marisa kirisame

A Henry Stickmin video was supposed to come out for the 1 year anniversary. It simply wasn't going to be ready in time, so I had to pivot and work on something I could finish with the time I had.

7:32 I think that's specifically a reference to Chrono Trigger. You find strange chests and doors throughout the game that all simply say "it's sealed with a mysterious force...", and then you can come back later in the game, and they'll give you a bunch of useful items.

Papyrus was the one calling Mettaton (before he became Mettaton) Happstablook. The name isn't confirmed and could be a joke, as Naptablook and Mettaton have widely different personalities and Napstablook tends to almost always be sad.

As another comment said, the antlered girl is definitely Noelle, however the older sister is possibly December, who is Noelle's sister, but also dead. This is why a puzzle in chapter two makes the player spell Deacember instead of December, because Noelle might not want to be reminded of December dying. That's my take anyway

Yo, coming back to this video was a good idea after deltarune chapter 2 came out, with all the extra knowledge on the character this is a lot bigger context I feel, first would be the fact we learned that Noelle has a bigger sister presumably named December, and the timing, they're opening presents near christmas in December, and lastly, it was snowing like a blizzard, and noelle is heavily associated with ice Majic now, maybe that was all accidental but going back through and seeing all the other tiny connections i think its a bit to big to just overlook, thats all, hope y'all have a nice day 😁

One thing; I distinctly remember that Easter egg with Papyrus running back and forth in the PC version, before it got all those console ports. It was simply meant to be a fun little diversion, kinda like the side quest with the Legendary Artifact.
I'm honestly amazed how underrated 2 Left Thumbs is. With videos of such quality rivaling Game Theory, they really deserve much more attention. Keep it up! ❤
