Wukong is literally what broken characters dream about becoming.
the question is he has 72 lives does his immortality attack itself to those 72 lives so that even if you take 1 immortal live you have to kill 71 more heavily immortal lives

He is immortal like 5 times over from learning a breathing form of immortality, eating all the heavenly peaches of immortality in heaven, drinking a banquet of heavenly immortal wine, being one of the 4 "spiritual primates" which buddha described Wukong as being able to "alter the course of planets and stars". There's a story in TJTTW where he goes toe to toe in death with Daoist immortals (secretly demons in disguise) where his head is chopped off then he regrows it, his organs are taken out and he regrows those. then he bathes in a pot of boiling oil for fun. By the end of the Journey to the West he reaches enlightenment becoming "The victorious Fighting Buddha" giving him another layer of immortality and as we see with the "true buddha" earlier on reaching enlightenment makes you one with the universe

It's important to point out that one of those mountains was Mt Sumeru and the other was Mt Emei. Mt Sumeru is stated to contain its own heavens and God's. Essentially, Sun Wukong carried heaven on his shoulder like it was nothing, which in the lore is the equivalent to the whole universe.

Zeus and Odin wanted Kratos out of the way in case he tried to do something. The gods of Journey to the West actively won't do things because it might catch Wukong's attention and make him destroy the heavens as a goofy, fun Monday prank, which he's done multiple times. I was worried about this, goddamn you Afro lol. Kratos is not beating Sun wukong. The only person who could outright beat sun Wukong was Buddha who won because he was one with the universe (being everywhere and everything all at once) and transcended all concepts. Sun wukong already was over 10 times immortal, and if you want I can go over some of those ways. Only reason kratos survived isnt because he was inmortal, but because he was just too strong to be held there by any of his gods. Sun wukong by the end of journey to the west attained Buddha hood, therefore having similar feats of Nirvana as Buddha himself. He can transform into basically any animal or creature, make clones that have the same powers and/or power level as him, along with means of flight, a better weapon with greater reach, etc. Also, it's pretty telling when even after death you still have many creatures using your essence as a power boost to potentially challenge heaven. SPOILER AHEAD: It's also heavily implied sun wukong allowed himself to die too so he can be free from that headband that was conteolled by the gods, which is stated to give the most severe headaches, which the only way i see kratos overpowering is in rage mode.

after beating the game and learning more about the true ending, I disagree with the last part. *Spoilers* The Destined One becomes the new Wukong to go on a new journey himself, and is given all of Wukongs memories stopping the old monkey from putting the ring on his head. he without a doubt will be able to do the things Sun Wukong could do if not better. Kratos definitely doesn't beat The Destined One unless Kratos faced him before the end of the game.

Actually, lore accurate, Wukong has one weakness, he has a pair of golden eyes, that have true sight and can see far and clear over 1000km, but extreme weak to direct wind or smoke blow into his eyes. In the original story, the Yaoguai King Yellow Wind and Red Boy (Final boss chapter 2 and 5 in Black Myth), caused big trouble to him with wind and smoke abilities. But yeah again, still, they have no way to kill him. If Kratos can exploit that, he can cause big trouble to Wukong.

I was worried about this, goddamn you Afro lol. Kratos is not beating Sun wukong. The only person who could outright beat sun Wukong was Buddha who won because he was one with the universe (being everywhere and everything all at once) and transcended all concepts. Sun wukong already was over 10 times immortal, and if you want I can go over some of those ways. Only reason kratos survived isnt because he was inmortal, but because he was just too strong to be held there by any of his gods. Sun wukong by the end of journey to the west attained Buddha hood, therefore having similar feats of Nirvana as Buddha himself. He can transform into basically any animal or creature, make clones that have the same powers and/or power level as him, along with means of flight, a better weapon with greater reach, etc. Also, it's pretty telling when even after death you still have many creatures using your essence as a power boost to potentially challenge heaven.
SPOILER AHEAD:
It's also heavily implied sun wukong allowed himself to die too so he can be free from that headband that was conteolled by the gods, which is stated to give the most severe headaches, which the only way i see kratos overpowering is in rage mode.
Wukong can also make clones of his opponents that are the exact same strength durability etc as them with their powers

after beating the game and learning more about the true ending, I disagree with the last part. *Spoilers*
The Destined One becomes the new Wukong to go on a new journey himself, and is given all of Wukongs memories stopping the old monkey from putting the ring on his head. he without a doubt will be able to do the things Sun Wukong could do if not better. Kratos definitely doesn't beat The Destined One unless Kratos faced him before the end of the game.

But the rewards are so worth it. I'm so happy he is in this chapter. But as great as this. Each chapter. The drip. The moves. The energy. The lore. Crazy. This chapter is a huge diff spike.

Actually, lore accurate, Wukong has one weakness, he has a pair of golden eyes, that have true sight and can see far and clear over 1000km, but extreme weak to direct wind or smoke blow into his eyes. In the original story, the Yaoguai King Yellow Wind and Red Boy (Final boss chapter 2 and 5 in Black Myth), caused big trouble to him with wind and smoke abilities. But yeah again, still, they have no way to kill him. If Kratos can exploit that, he can cause big trouble to Wukong.
