watching these vids by ppl saying the game isnt dying is like the owners of a sports team saying "we have full confidence in our manager and he has our full support through these trying times as we rebuild the team" , and 3 weeks later they sack the manager.

yeah JB you lost me here dawg! R6 is way more innovative and there is NOTHING else like it so it makes sense that with Jynxzis help the game was revived. XDEFIANT doesn't have that crazy wow factor to it (besides no skill bases matchmaking) so you cant really compare it to R6. i love playing this game and the no SBMM is super fun but i do think it is gonna die quick and when BO6 comes out all the cod fanboys gonna go crazy so XDEFIANT will just get wrecked i think.
when ppl are coming out and doing vids to try and say the game isnt dead or dying , we all know that it is as we can see it with our own eyes , the same players in the lobbies , the longer wait times for matches and then getting thrown into matches that are ongoing.
only a few top ppl at ubi know the player numbers and rubin may not be one of them so ubi could settle this by saying we have x amount of players but they are silent.

Streamers quitting a game means nothing tho, they will quit a game to go wherever the hype is at to make money, that’s literally their job, remember when apex released and all the streamers were all over the game then they left, the game was still huge but with very little talk besides the streamers that solely dedicated to it, same with Fortnite, the hype of Fortnite is dead but it’s still a huge game

One of the biggest content creators for the game quit yesterday and the reason was because the game is dying and it's hard to find games. 15 to 20k is like a 99% + dropoff from the once 10 million and 800k concurrent who played. This is making my case more valid. Like woah. Blame truth tried to say 100 to 200k legit two weeks ago. So a dropoff that huge and that quick being your flex is wild.

when have I been saying COD is dead? I've been hyping up MW3 all year long, and BO6 im a bit worried from past communication problems, but I have stated many times I am excited to see what Treyarch can cook up with 4 years.

I feel like Xdefiant is not unique enough for it to bounce back similar to how rainbow did. It simply has to much competition and it has the disadvantage of simply being a brand new franchise.

Still enjoying the game, but it has its problems:
1. Hit registration.
2. Hopping and crouching hit registration.
3. Underwhelming battle pass, nothing but re-skins. Final reward, same character as previous season. Why?

@@jhonconer1 thats because your bullets are not registering. You pretty much have to empty a whole mag on an smg to get a kill. By that time you're usually dead.
Record your gameplay, I can assure you most of your bullets aren’t hitting because your reticle isn’t on them

It’s just you also gotta realize, every game has their own vision of what kind of game and fan base they want. The thing that people don’t like about Xdefiant is the developers aren’t tryna make it like cod. Cod bails out trash players with a small time to kill. Having a higher time to kill furthers the skill gap, and that’s what they want, A competitive arcade shooter.
This game is ass. Too many problems and too many cheaters. Remember this is the same person who said we gotta respect the issues in xdefiant.
Too many problems? The only problem is the cheater and net code, cheaters will always be present that’s a problem one cant simply not get rid of, and net code is currently being worked on, all other minor problems are present in every game and change with every update

XDefiant isn’t a dead game, but the game has lost a lot of hype since release. It’s definitely less people playing and I actually love the game, but even with that said I even stopped playing as much to give it some time to work out the kinks on console. I always have the issue of getting into nearly finished games a lot of the time I hop on and then when I do get full games people end up leaving and the lobby becomes unbalanced. Rooting for the success of this game and will definitely be back when it’s more polished for console

@@JR-uo4qo more than mw 3 2023 by itself, what people dont realize the numbers they show isnt mw3 by itself, that game is virtually dead. no real content, rehashed maps. those numbers are dmz, mw2, mw3 and warzone, majority players are on warzone, and b06 will die in 3 months and the big streamers will play a couple weeks and jump straight back to warzone, rinse and repeat.
Like you said every game that releases loses some player base after the hype dies down. The biggest challenge is when another new shooter comes out with bigger hype like black ops six. If this game does not fix the significant issues it has by then, you’re gonna see another significant decrease when black op six and Delta force launches. I can see Ubisoft slowly pulling the plug if this game drops below 5000 players a day
@@roke7652 I think it’ll be fine. Even if they fix the netcode, there’s not a chance they won’t lose players to BO6. the COD hype will always drown out all the noise besides GTA or course.

15k-20k lmaooo, that game is dying. I understand that it's good to support competition especially games that are trying to go up against COD but we're talking about Ubisoft here. Even if XDefiant boomed off and got big, I can definitely see Ubisoft trying to take more control over what goes into the game compared to what the actual devs want to put into XDefiant. "Even if the player count is under 15K, it's still solid for a free to play game", that is a wild statement to have btw. Also hit reg is awful and I'm not going to wait a year for them to maybe be able to fix it.

lol the game ain’t dead bro this is going to continue to happen over the months and this goes for every game, there’s so many different games coming out and NCAA 25 just came out of course the numbers are going to go up and down, watch what happens to 2k when COD comes out then what happens to Cod when GTA comes out, a lot of people play different games the player base is mainly of the core users who are playing the game 80 to 90% of the time.
Also the game isn't on last Gen, I know so many people that would love to play the game but are still on last Gen consoles.
You can get a pc capable of playing it for far less then a current gen console. If you already have a monitor and peripherals etc that helps the cost a lot

Community goal is how ive been gauging how the game is doing. Thats cool that somebody took it further and found the player count from that.

In all honesty it is super inaccurate way to determine the player count, why? Pretty easy, the problem is "estimated average total score per lobby", this is just wrong because a) distribution of scores between players in a lobby can be just wild, cheaters, great players, the stacks of great players, players who are obj focused (in obj modes) will get exponentially more scores than the rest of the players in a lobby, hence can easily skew the statistics b) the types of players I just mentioned also skew the average score per lobby, if I understanding his method correctly the more good players lobby have the higher this number is.
I would say it's a nice try, but his solution is waaaay too volatile, I remember when I has been writing a research on player retention during my master degree, my supervisor explicitly told me that I am not allowed to use such methods BECAUSE they are not reliable when it comes to tracking population, I was allowed to use viewership numbers, statements from the company, publicly available player counts, sales statistics etc. literally every single reliable metric shows that the game is dying, arguing against it is like arguing against statistics.
I'm beginning to think these might be Copium Vids. If it's not dying (I never thought it was) why do we keep insisting on trying to prove it isn't? Just roll with it, if it's dying but you're having fun, who gives a shit? IDK if it is or not, But what I can say is that I get THE SAME 24-36 players on my lobbies, EVERY...SINGLE...DAY! some of those are even people that have me blocked, that I blocked (idk of cheating, what I do know is that it's set of 2-3 players that stack, always seem to know where I am, they 1trick pony snipers and they've sent me toxic messages. @@kopite4434 I think the thing is everyone is saying this game is dead. this channel(from my understanding) covers Xdefiant and COD., so if he wants to thro his 2 cents in about what he feels about the subject as to whether this game is dead is not I have no problem with. There are channels out there flat out lying and making stuff about to say the game is dead so i would expect other content creators to push back when there are blatent lies being pushed out other(stares at ghost of eight). As some one who love and played the game hard has the game lost a chunk of its luster yes, but dead no. if it really has 150-250k concurrent players that's cool . that's is definitely not a # of a dead live service game.

Even if this method gives a rough idea I'd say a concurrent player count of up to 20k isn't really that great especially when you consider that is across 3 platforms. Ultimately the player count doesn't matter much to Ubisoft though. It is all about people spending money so as long as they are making decent profits the game will stick around.
He just doesnt want the game to be dying with how much time hes put into it. But it is dying, i played a few games today since the s1 start and i ran into the same players, and I live in the southwest. Took me a few minutes to find a lobby where it used to take a few seconds...and it hasnt even been out a year yet.
Imo i know the game probably has other things wrong with it but the sweatyness kills it for me. If you play a video game to slide cancel everywhere then you need to look at your life because youre trying to hard.
I think XDef is here to stay... I'm hoping it is anyway. At this time I don't have any intentions of going back to COD, not even for BO6.

If you like the game fundamentally then that’s enough for you to stick around for future updates and patches. I tried playing it but it makes me seasick lol....the movement feels like you're just sliding around. I strafe a lot especially when turning corners. In X, it feels like I'm sliding on ice. After a few games, it gets to me. COD's movement is so crisp and solid.
I love x defiant but when they made the change to weapon xp the first time It really turned me off my grind and I just can't bring myself to grind anymore. I feel so far behind and I feel like it's absurd to release 3 master camos every season. Feel like it's to much and they will run out of ideas but idk.😊

Anything you look up as far as player numbers XD is beating cod and all the cod stats are muddy because they are lumping MW2, MW3 and warzone stats together. The third party websites show XDefiant has a daily player count of 90k+ and cod has 85k+ with them again lumping 3 games into one. I didnt even know XDefiant wasnt on steam yet. If thats true then yeah when they release on steam it will skyrocket and we will get a more direct comparison to cod on steam.

Of course you can barely find stats on anything cod related because they hide that information and lump MW2, MW3 and warzone player stats together in the places where they are forced to provide public charts. XDefiant player numbers are beating cods steam numbers and XDefiant hasn't even released on steam yet. How you going to be playing the game and acting like no one is playing it at the same time?
There's a lot of cool new games dropping towards the end of this year and into next year and I am looking forward to them. One of them being Split Gate 2. Having multiple games to play is always a good thing imo.

Gaming is becoming like GACHA F2P games. All of a sudden if it's numbers aren't amazing it's a flop. Gamers nowadays don't understand how economy works. The game is in a healthy state. I think thats wrong. Just take the total xp earned by the community and divide it by the amount you have contributed. I have an average play time on this game. And when I did this I ended up with a total of 100,000 players concurrently.
The players that left were 90% the flakes who were going to leave after the hype was dead anyways. I would rather have a smaller pool of loyal players who enjoy and care about the game, than have to share it with hundreds of thousands of complaining whiny kids who will ruin the game with demands anyways.

I enjoy the game whilst im on US servers but once i start getting into EU or anything not NA for some reason is when i hop off.
I love the game. I play it every day. It’s been an amazing escape from Call of Duty. I have no plans on uninstalling this game. I’m going to try out black ops six but if that game doesn’t blow me away, I’m perfectly happy playing defiant all winter.
I’m willing to trade the problems defiant has with the horrible matchmaking in Call of Duty. I feel like it’s a take your pic and I’ve chosen defiant as a better option for me and I think my mental health is better because of it.

I remember when R6 Siege dropped. It wasn't that great... me and my buddies didn't play it for long lol. We returned to the game periodically over the years and today it's a COMPLETELY different game. It's thriving as one of the best tactical shooter titles to date.
XDefiant is more my style than Siege so even though my buddies kind of distanced themselves from XD for the time being, I still play the game pretty much every day. Solo Q in this have is much better than CoD. The unpredictability of matches compared to EOMM making me play myself over and over again 🤣

I understand that you don’t or at least I’m assuming don’t like cod anymore which is understandable however Xdefiant is definitely dying. MW3 not Warzone MW3 itself is beating out Xdefiant on twitch viewership with triple the viewers currently. When it comes to youtube and twitch and etc those things do matter bc it shows actual interest in the game. Xdefiant obviously has no sbmm in pubs therefore I should not be matchmaking over and over again with the same people that isn’t a good sign no matter how you flip it.

I'm a PC player based in Europe, I play mainly domination. I get in matches within seconds anytime of the day.
@@RUSH_MACH1NE I’m in the same boat, takes seconds to get into a match. Of course on the rare occurrence it will bug out and won’t find anything, but usually resetting everything works great
I'm in EU as well and have the same experience. I just cross-play because if I run it off takes for ages to find a match.

The game isn’t dying the game is DEAD ! Completely dead cause the mark and the devs are incompetent. They just want to tweet and never fix any core issues. The biggest issues in the game have yet to be fixed they just keep asking for more and more time. We over it we waited 4yrs now they asking for more additional time and that’s just ridiculous. They lost all faith and hope. Unless they fina do an overhaul I doubt they can bring any casuals back or anybody

What I'll never understand is why people are so loose with the phrase "this game is dead". It's dead if/when Ubisoft pulls the plug. Is it dying? Hardly. You tell me the last time a game had retained every single player that logged on to it since the opening weeks of its launch. By that definition, every game is "dying" or "dead". It takes time for someone to determine if they want to continue playing a game and I'm willing to bet a good portion of the population that left were people who play CoD and determined the game isn't for them for one reason or another. The rest simply don't want to continue to play a game with netcode/hit reg/cheating issues.
This game may have been profusely bleeding recurring players but it's not "dead".
