Re "repetition" -- It is not repetition, the Rebbe is elaborating in a detailed way on his instruction and he is also preemptively answering questions that the listener may have. To someone unfamiliar it might sound like "repetition," but it is not at all. There is great wisdom in every word. Listened to it with greater scrutiny and you will *begin* to see what I mean.

He wanted to make sure that his words are not being construed. A story is told that once in the early years, he had held a discourse, and then someone quoted him, just the opposite of what he said. The Rebbe asked that the tape of the discourse be brought to him, and he listened to it. He then remarked, that it was possible to misconstrue what he meant from the way he said it. Subsequently, the Rebbe emphasized and repeated himself over and over, lest there be any misunderstanding.

if your reffering to the long ones worn by Poilishe Chassidm, then yes. In conjunction with the biblical prohibition, "you should not destroy... your beard" According to Chabad custom, one cannot destroy one's beard for several reasons. firstly, the Tzemach Tzedek, 3rd Lubavitcher Rebbe, said that with a scissors it's forbidden.(most Halachic authoritites agree with this)rabbis or spiritual leaders that remove their beards(following a lenient opinion)might lead other jews to shave with a razor.

of course they wear peyot, according to the ari-zal the peyot cannot touch the beard that's why they are not long, but as long as you can hold the hair above your ears you have peyes.
    hope you understand

????? how long we have been hearing every shabbos ,every yom sheni and yom chamishi the same words from t he Holy Torah??? And every day its a new Torah, there s a new meaning, there s something new to learn...
if Der Rebbe MHM repeats and repets over and over like you say its to make sure you get the point. He is doing that for you. You should feel lucky He does for you. Like a foter doesnt get tired of sayiing to his kinder dont do this over and over again with love.

In the days of monarchy, moshiach was imagined as a king. In an era of universal democracy, we will recognized the moshiach within each of us.
