Full Slingshot Phantasm Hydrofoil System Ride and Review

We go through the entire Phantasm hydrofoil system including all masts (aluminum and carbon), wings, fuselages, and the uses of each. There is something for everyone in this system. PFI stands for "Phantasm Freeride Infinity" which are carbon versions of the infinity wings slingshot has already made they are very slightly different. PTM is short for "Phantasm Technical Mastery" and these wings are specifically made for the phantasm system. The PFH stands for "Phantasm Fred Hope" and are the performance wings made for intermediate and advanced riders. Surf/Wingfoil/WakeSurf Wings:
PFI 928 = like infinity 99cm wing good for new riders, heavy riders, stable and able to pump. Great for new wing foiliers. Surf/Wing/Wake
PFI 835 = like infinity 84cm wing, good for new surf riders, wake surfing,
PFI 730 = like infinity 76cm wing, great for bigger surf or lighter rider, wake surf, low wind kite
PTM 926 = High Aspect excellent for intermediate wing and windsurf foil, good for kite in light winds
PTM 1001 = High Aspect excellent for ultra glide on wingfoil and windsurf foil
Kite/Wingfoil/Windsurf Wings:
PFI 633 = Best all around kitefoil wing for new riders or freeride kitesurf riders
PTM 683 = faster version of 633 good for lighter riders or people looking for more speed or jumping
PFH 767, 657, 581 = Advanced wings for agressive freeride and freestyle...sizes are based on weight and target riding speed.
PTM 730 = High Aspect this is a high speed and high efficiency wing great for race and big air kitefoil
Rear Wings:
PS400 = Standard rear wing that comes in all setups
PS325 = Coming but not available when this video was made...better pumping and dynamic pitch change for surf/wake/kite foiling.

Right! I was so surprised they actually made it. We were prepared to have one manufactured when things came out because it is something everyone WILL want. I'm proud of Slingshot for seeing this and actually making the part to meet demand.
For the kite wings.. I’m mainly foiling in lighter wind and weight 200 pounds. Would you go with a low aspect kite wing or jump to a ptm ultra glide?

I was looking through your website items and got to a dilemma so I got into this youtube presentation you have to figure out which one would be the winning option.
I am a Kiteboarder and not too long I got "acquainted" with the hydrofoiling and consider to get into Kite-Foiling so to do that I am considering the following:
PFI 633 Lower - or - PFI 730 Lower > which of the two would you go with for an beginner/intermediate foiler ?
Also will travel between US and Europe twice a year and I'm thinking about luggage, would it be such a difference between the 82 Mast and the 92 Mast ?
- I am asking because the 82 would fit quite OK in the luggage, even though if I put it diagonally probably 92 may be able to fit (is only 10 cm )
Which Lower with which Mast would you consider as quiver for the above situation?

Are you going to be able to buy all the wings separate? From what I’ve seen a lot of the wings only seem to come as lowers kits. Which kinda sucks when you already have the same fuselage and rear wing.
Yes, We have all wings sold separately. They released the kits first to dealers so inventory-wise many shops will have issues selling things separately. We have made all separate listings. Some may show out of stock but we have them...it is a inventory sniffle we need to sort out. which one is for racing? PFH 581 vs. the PTM 730 vs the PTM 701? (fastest to slowest
In the Phantasm line up what would be your first choice for a 160 pd rider for WakeFoil / Pronefoil for carving but still be able to Pump out to next set of waves/swell?
The 926 or the current Glide 900 wing would be perfect. If you're in lighter winds you may go one size larger to the Glide 1000. Call the shop for sure: 281-508-6485
Does this work with the Moses/Sabfoil carbon?
Some of the Sab/Moses wing will work on this fuselage. Moses has some different bolt sizes etc depending on the wing. We matched a few of them up and they would work with some slight variation int the fuselage profile against the wing. Watch our other Phantasm review video where we actually ride a few of the moses wings.
Kind of undecided between the aluminum and the carbon mast. As they don't differ too much in weight, which one is going to be stiffer?
There are brands that have a stiffer aluminum mast than the carbon BUT for the phantasm the carbon is much stiffer. No comparison if you want a stiff mast go with the phantasm carbon. Part of the issue is the way the base plate and mast connect there is always a bit of play there and at the fuse. Hope that helps. Will a Phantasm front wing work on a Hover Glide fuselage?
It will not, but they are making a special fuselage where you can mount older wings to the phantasm setup. It is a hybrid fuselage. To make this happen you will need the new fuse.
Who is Fred hope??? Never heard of him , sounds like old guy
It is a kitefoil thing. If you're not in the kiteboarding world you probably have never heard of him. He is by far the most progressive freeride/freestyle kitefoiler around right now. Just search Fred Hope kitefoil in youtube and watch a few videos. For those of you not into kite foiling this may be a bit like watching professional rollerblading but for those of us in the sport it is incredibly cool.
