- Me (Anthony Borromeo) playing Avenged Sevenfold's "Fiction", off the new album, by ear.. This took a little more than 2 hours to learn, so sorry for the times i messed up.. =/

The piano playing is so eerie, but at the same time relaxing. Great cover too.
This song is one the best off the new album. Its weird how he says " So tell everybody, the ones who walked beside me, yeah, i hope you find your own way when I'm not with you" in this song. It's like he knew he was gonna die but gave us this last song to remember him by. He recorded this 3 days before his death. May he rest in peace. We love you Jimmy.

@anime123123 alot of people think synyster play the piano, but as it actually ends up the rev wrote all of the piano parts, and played them!. all of the songs of "pinkly smooth" features the rev on the piano for every song.

@DevonVanNote This song was written by The Rev when Syn and The Rev was in Pinkly Smooth, but he never finished the lyrics. So Matt finished it for him after he died :)

my favorite part of he song is just the intro and the first two sentences.
@saeth105 i don't think thats possible due to the fact that the last album he was mentioned on was city of evil, he also played on the sounding the seventh trumpet album too. the credits in the official nightmare booklet says all songs were wrote by the band however, a guy named david palmer actually played the pianos and keyboards on danger line, save me, tonight the world dies and fiction.
i had this was one of the songs that the rev got to record fully before he died

@cornela1 well, I just thought it was syn on this recording because the rev only has his vocals on this song for obvious reasons... but apparently they got a random guy to record the piano part.. and yes, Syn can play the piano

@anime123123 Shazam is an app on, for example, your phone. Hold the mic close to the speaker playing the song and it'll tell you what the name is. So, this video was so accurate, Shazam was able to tell it was Fiction.

Why do people think syn played the piano parts? The Rev was a piano prodigy even before he started drumming. Ofcourse the Rev played the piano on recording and studio and whatever.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but as a fan, I've never heard of the fact that syn could play piano aswell..?

@88fanforlife Ive been playing for a WHILE now. It took me one day to learn it. My guess is that if u r dedicated enough, you can learn it in maybe 1,2, or even up to 3 weeks, IF U PRACTICE!! depends on ur current skill lvl though......

it'll take a week without experience. but if you learn your basic piano playing before hand for a month then maybe take 2 days

hey man, when the verse comes in on a C chord, try changing it to Am after that instead of that F inversion you're playing. i think it sounds a lot better.
I'm curious as to how this took you two years to learn when the album just came out in July??

@anime123123 shazam is a song recognition system. i guess it's an england/U.K. only thing... you ring a number, play a clip of the song down the phone, and you'll get a text message back with the song name and artist.
also, nice dog sound effect at the start. ;)
