I can still remember watching Nomad Capitalist's first RUclips video back in 2012(if i'm not mistaken). This channel has come so far in that time and although i probably will never qualify for their services, it's still one of my favorite channels to watch regularly. Andrew is a wealth of knowledge and his whole team is just superb in what they do to help people go where they are treated best. There are many intimidators but they are the originals.

Hi Andrew. I've been watching a number of videos from Nomad Capitalist for a while and, as someone looking to start a business without a huge net worth I was curious about where one might go. My wife is also Austrian and wanted to return home for a spell. As long as I pay the agreed upon taxes, I have a residence permit and access to all social programs and benefits. Anyway, I have found that when it comes to employment unless one speaks the language it is next to impossible. Frankly, I wouldn't hire anyone who couldn't speak German.

While it's not a walk in the park to get citizenship, you say "it's hard to move to Australia", but it's not. We had dozens of Americans working for us before I fled the tyranny 20 years ago. It was a breeze to get them temporary citizenship or a working visa.
Hell one of our managers wanted to bring his Thai girlfriend (a whore from a bar), and when she applied they rejected her. I wrote a letter saying I knew her for years (I didn't) and they gave her a tourist visa and later she became a temporary resident.
My.own former partner from Thailand (not a whore from a bar, haha) married a policeman in Australia and she is now a permanent resident and a real Ozzie now. Soon she'll get naturalized and then AU passport for her.
      Don't spread misinformation about Australia.
Australia is a tyranny that should be avoided, but I don't like misinformation being spread about it "being hard to move there".

Friends of mine had a huge remote worker office there, they had 200 seats and 3 shifts running, they had everything from graphic artists to video editors to PAs and sometimes even programmers (India better for that).
They had to have 24/7 security.
In the end the armed security was not enough to save them from the real enemy. The government turned up and shook them down for a TON of money. They packed up and left after that. Now they run a huge VPN business. Very successful people.
Also they often visited Thailand for the food because "Filipino food is like dog food" (their words not mine).

Paraguay is still open, except there were some changes on the rules as of last year. The PYG 31,500 deposit is no longer required, they now grant 2 years of temporary residence, after which one can apply for the permanent one. The red tape did not change much, so I am told. Usually they ask for the apostilled Birth and/or Marriage certificate(s) + the Passport (or ID if a Mercosur citizen) etc...costs of consultancy range between US$ 1,500 and 2,500. One or two visits are necessary to grab the Paraguayan ID. Indonesia is by far the easiest country to immigrate to.. One can stay forever on an endlessly renewing series of social visit visas. Each is valid for 180 days and there is no limit on how often they can be reapplied for (conveniently done onshore). Thousands live permanently in Bali on such 'endless' visas. The best thing about it is that although one would technically become tax resident under the 183 day rule, the government point blank refuses to give a tax id number to anyone on a social visit visa, so they are clearly not interested in collecting any tax revenue from these folks. Easy immigration and no tax, two reasons why there are thousands of digital nomads hanging out in Indonesia.

I've worked in Vietnam 12 years 2008-2019, 2 years in the US for COVID and now back in Vietnam to get away from the crap US economy. Vietnam is easy to get into, but there are some complications. The biggest is government limits on things you can do, as I recently discovered that I would not be investing anymore money into crypto. This wasn't by choice, but because there is literally a bank block, I go through SACOM Bank, on buying any. So generally Vietnam is great for those that want to retire, feel they are set in their life or sexpats that want to get wasted and take home working girls from the clubs or bars. Not so good potentially if you want to live cheaply, while building a portfolio.

It doesn’t seem logical to refer to specific countries in the plural. “The Mexicos?” There is only one Mexico. And if you interpret that as “countries similar to Mexico” there isn’t enough context to derive what those countries might be. You might counter that the other countries in the list are the countries similar to Mexico, but then why refer to Mexico in the plural if you just list all the similar countries individually? It’s a very common grammatical device in NC videos and it never made sense to me.

Everything balances up in the end. The question is who you are and whacha wanna be doing? Where do u think you’ll be happiest regardless the cost or process? The word ‘easy’ is such a naive and foolish term if you’re an adult who’s lived at least half his/her life and seen how the world runs.
Great insight and I learned some more from this channel. I’ve lived my entire life in a very very tiny and expensive south East Asian country except for six months in NZ. Made it there and got my work visa. Very simple and straightforward. Got it within two weeks of application. Unfortunately due to some things at home, I had to turn back and forsake the adventure. No regrets tho, very low wage country.
