@@brandonbean7561 depends if you fish freshwater or salt. In saltwater id get a radio for emergency use, whistle, wet or drysuit, get some rod floats for your rods/gears or tether everything to your kayak.

You really just need a radio. Because it's required by the coast guard. Anything else is just the cherry on top.
