I LOVED Stray Dogs. I mostly read Marvel and DC but I picked up the free comic book day issue of Stray Dogs in 2021 and it hooked me immediately. I love dogs so much and I did feel a little sick after I finished the book but it was worth it, the reading experience was incredible.
It was great! Hurt my feelings a little bit but the storytelling was awesome!
I have requested at least 5 of these from my library. I cannot wait to pick them up! Thank you for the recommendations. I’ve been slowly getting into comics because of you so I definitely appreciate the time you spent doing this!

I just finished Isla to Island! So glad to see it on this list, great book and I loved that it included a recipe as well. I used the spice mix from the recipe in a stew yesterday and it's so good!
For manga, I recommend Delicious in Dungeon. It's a cross between a food manga and a dungeon-crawl fantasy, very funny with some genuinely touching and even scary moments. I picked up the first volume from the library on a whim and have loved it ever since.
I keep hearing about that one ! I need to check it out!
Thanks for doing this! There are so many comics out there, I love just hearing about great stories even if I can’t read them all. Oh Mark Waid is great!! His run on Fantastic Four is amazing!! Have you read any Dwayne MacDuffie? His F4 was just a short little down time after a big event, but it’s what got me into comics and is still my favorite. The art is soooo vibrant and the characterizations are so sweet and funny ^_^
Yes! I’ve read MacDuffie but I definitely need to read more. He’s great!
Nana is hands down one of my favorite manga and anime series. I sadly don’t own the manga anymore but I do a rewatch of the anime every couple of years. I get a different perspective every time I rewatch it. It holds a special place in my heart.
