Slayton has been catching deep throws from his rookie season, whether from DJ or Eli. He isn't a number one but being a two A or a two B or even a number three that will receive a number of chances per game and he will come through. Hopefully contract stuff works out.
Slayton needs to be recognized for his play by the organization

Say mane...Slayton is under appreciated within our fan base. That game against Philly a few yrs ago on the back 9 of Eli career. So amazing! Slayton i believe in ya mane!! We just need DJ to be more consistent and this guy is a 1,000 yd guy easily!!!

Is there money to meet Slayton’s expectations? When Waller retires, do they need to sign another TE in FA? Plus is there enough depth on the O line?
Giants r good at TE with Bellinger, Johnson, Stoll, and maybe Cager.
@Thagomizer-U235 if/when Waller retires, Bellinger would be the only "receiving" tight end (the two new ones apparently are only known for blocking)
So Cager should have a good chance.
Trade Slayton get the most you can for him and go with Nabers, Hyatt and Robinson, it just doesn't make much sense to pay him IMO when you just drafted a real #1 Receiver in Nabers. I do like Slayton and would be OK with they kept him for the right price but I'm sure he wants to get paid. As for most underrated probably Jason Pinnock and Micah McFadden
Hyatt wasn't a very good route runner last year. Robinson is short range receiver. If Nabers get injured or has off field pblm, the Giants would be screwed. Slayton has no guaranteed $ on contract so he has to hold out, but Slayton is our best WR and needs to be signed.
@@Thagomizer-U235it is also important to show that being a team player ( in terms of contracts and playing time ) will be rewarded. If you don't , you will discourage that behavior.

They should pay up to keep Slay, though (within reason) He's worth double what they're paying him, and they kinda owe him IMO.

Slayton gets 700 yards bc Schoen drafted a garbage WR named Robinson and Daboll didn’t use Hyatt. Slayton is the most replaceable person on the team.
