- Hello my bats, thank you for 400+ subs it means so much to me that you liked my first work on the reaction video, i apologise if this video here isnt what you expected after waiting for a month, i do apologise i just have been doing loads of things, preparing for people and other things as well as just so much drama in my life, i will try to be more out there with my videos, this is part 1 so there will be more to come with the reaction video! I have tried at the beginning of it all, now at the end i had given up and made many mistakes with the storyline which i am very sorry for, i tried to make it as accurate as possible but it may not be the best😭!

In fact, Mori is not a pedophile.
Back in 2018, Kafka himself wrote that Mori was misunderstood due to wrong translation. There is one moment where he calls Elise his wife, but Mori only said this to mock Fukuzawa. There is another moment (chapter 20) where he calls Elise his daughter, but that was also just a joke. His words that he prefers children means that children are easier to manipulate. He manipulates children for the sole reason - to benefit the Port Mafia.
The real-life author (Mori Ougai) made fun of the behavior of other writers, and apparently the character does the same.
The real mori was a good person and that one translation ruined the whole anime ego

Sorry, i also think that Mori is not a pedo but never saw a twitter comment proof, so i doubt it. But to unpedo Mori discussion i will say, book "Vita Sexualis" is literally about asexuality and mocking of sexuality that writers wrote and described in a similar genre he used.
I can name alot of proofs but the most vague to me is beast au where Mori isn't the leader of CRIMINAL organisation but a orphanage worker. I think Mori is a incredible good leader and father in his dreams. And those two descriptions not connect, doesn't work together.

I like this, I like you making mori not a pedo, though I don't usually care either way in a react, I think it makes him more evil as some who manipulates vulnerable people, and he's such an asshole for kidnapping yosano for the war, I wonder if her parents are still looking for her or if she ever reached out to them after she healed from the experience... Regardless if mori is a pedo or not, one scene that always grossed me out is the nurse scene, like... A nurse who is supposed to be a professional takes advantage of (bc even though Dazai does got max rizz that is no excuse as a profession) a patient who is still drugged on pain killers right after surgery... And I realized right after I found out about the nurse scene that wasn't it a spinal surgery dazai had? That makes something that involes a lot of hard exercise and back movement like sex/intercourse all the more dangerous! She should know this fact and know better as a professional! Mori doesn't need to be a pedo for dazai to have something sus or up with his past before the mafia, especially how he has such little regard for his own body (with you know, having sex right after, not even a full day after I think, back surgery), despite hating pain. Like hell dude, that would hurt so much to have pain right after back surgery, and I would know, my dad has multiple herniated discs in his back and struggles a lot day to day, with him being one of the strongest and most hardy people I know, so dazai being so relatively easily able to move after surgery is impressive and frankly worrying, I wonder if mori expected him to go on missions right after performinf surgery on him (since he can't be healed with an ability, and I don't think mori would trust any other doctor besides his own two hands when it came to such an important piece on his chess board as Dazai was. Oh... Just realized I went on a rant... Sorry. If at all possible, it would be so cool if you could put a tiktok about the nurse scene in the second part and have the ada talk to dazai about how he should take care of himself more and not push himself so hard, especially right after surgery and to value himself more than to use his body as a bargaining chip (to get his phone), if kouyka (not sure if I typed her name right, sorry) doesn't have to use her body and looks to her advantage like they were taught to in the mafia when she is with the ada now neither does Dazai. He is already plenty helpful with his manipulations and smarts, though in the smart department ranpo has everybody beat. Yosano especially would go off on Dazai about having sex right after back surgery, no wrath worse than an angry yosano :). Another awesome tiktok that I would recommend for the next part is the Let's play a game tiktok, not sure of the actual title but I think that's the name of the song used, love the tiktok because it was my first time hearing that awesome song in it which is now a favorite of mine, But another reason it's my favorite. The second reason is that, well people kind of overlook that Mori basically had Dazai captive while healing from the surgery after he found him committing suicide, and that once Dazai was healed, he was still trapped by Mori in the same place, and someone as knowledgeable and manipulative as Mori would know how to make it so Dazai can't escape, especially when compared to the prison arc where he had ango to help him here at this point in time he has no allies, and is less experienced and knowledgeable compared to modern Dazai, not to say he's stupid, but Mori isn't dumb either, and is actually rather smart, I think his IQ is listed as 4th or around that when talking about who's the smartest character in Bsd, and that includes all three of the op geniuses of the show, who are the only ones smarter than him, but even if you are super smart you still need to be able to have enough time to learn in order to utilize knowledge, intuition can't just get you everywhere, And with him being completely isolated in the medical Ward or office that Mori had him in and the fact that he has no allies and is severely weak from surgery still. And you know is a kid and doesn't have as much muscle or at all combat knowledge compared to even just 15-year-old as it's... It's a pretty disconcerting a set of circumstances because people are like well. He joined the port Mafia because he wanted to find you know. See if there's anything there to you know. Make it so that he doesn't want to kill himself basically, But people also have to remember that you know Dazai is someone with an extremely warped way of thinking and his way to cope with the situation as someone basically held captive against his will after healing from surgery, He might have just convinced himself That he wasn't held captive because In the end he made a 'deal' with Mori, which was so immensely one sided and Mori never even fulfilled his end of the bargain of finding a painless way for Dazai to commit suicide, because it does, I was too precious of a chess piece to risk losing. And there's also the fact that Mori, after learning about Dazai 's ability, would have never let him go, so the deal was pointless because he could have just forced Dazai to join and do as he says. Also, considering how important Dazai was to the amount of fraud committed in the port Mafia frames him as being the one to supply most of the money or at least a significant margin amount of the money that the mafia needs to continue operations, And then the fact that he's for despite the fact he makes all shit ton of money for the mafia he still is unable to get proper living accommodations. Not that he particularly cares, but you could just force him to live in the barracks or near the barracks with the personal rooms to decide for himself, like it wasn't that hard of accommodation, but then that would have allowed Dazai to actually probably get forced to be. You know close to people and probably Bond with other members of the mafia and therefore get himself. Even if it isn't entirely positive, it would still have been a support network. Something that would have gotten in the way of mori's manipulations. Another reason that he killed Oda. That is that I listed there too I guess on accident. Just the fact that that Dazai probably had to convince himself that he was in control and he willingly made a deal that is partially beneficial to him with Mori Is sickening, It's a child, a kid convincing himself that he has any power in this situation where he is mostly if not entirely powerless, And has no negotiating power. It's sickening but kind of expected that he convinced himself that you know. Yes, he did say that he prefers the women in his life under twelve, but that in fact does not mean romantically or sexually. Though, that could be what he meant. So, I cannot neither deny him as a p*dophile nor confirm him to be one. This comes from an anime watcher, so if there is any more confirmation in the manga I'm not aware of, do please tell.

Hi so detail to note is that Mori did in fact NOT say he prefers his woman under 12, it was confirmed a mistranslation along the lines of "I only protect girls under 12" from a joke he was doing with Kōyo. While the official wiki confirms he isa pedophile, please note that fandom wiki's are also made with the help of fans. This detail added by a fan. Mori is a lolicon, which on Japan has different meanings. While I do not side with anyone on whether or not he likes children, it is worth to know lolicon in Japan can refer to finding children cute and revolving life around them WITHOUT being romantic. Mori sees Elise as a doll, and he sees her as one to dress up. It is also worth remembering that Elise is a puppet, any behavior of hers is Mori's. It was also confirmed in a manga panel that he's a lolicon where Elise (her saying this since it's what Mori programmed) describes Mori as a lolicon to the Agency leader.
Overall, the video was great! Loved the worry portraited by the characters, especially related to Dazai's suicid#al tendencies because for some reason a lot of the fandom now agrees that the agency doesn't care about Dazai (such thing ridiculous to imagine..). Your character design's are also very eye pleasing, love the softish look to them.
