In the UK we make lofts different so it’s been interesting watching this. If I had that much space I wouldn’t be able to control myself from building a mega loft!!!
That's what i said earlier ton of property space means a massive loft because his birds breed like champion once he gets them birds in his new loft he will have a hundred in no time at all.
Hi Kurt You've done a beautiful job of the loft. I had a stock loft similar and I put perches above the door where you are going to put yours. Opened the door to put water in and 1 got out over my head. I would also put wire netting round the bottom of the loft to keep animals like foxes from going underneath. I've seen them pull legs off from under grills. NICE JOB.
@@ManeyPigeons Sorry Kurt just seen your earlier video. You could put a lift up wire netting door on the front and put plastic trays under or plastic sheet or put plenty of lime down, that would break the droppings down to powder and no smell. Anyway whatever you decide to do you will work it out. DONE A GREAT JOB.
Thats a great job KURT, MANEY LOFTS IS MOVING TO THE NEXT STEP, THEFLOCK is coming I'd say u would some of your youngsters would b at the perfect age to b let out to get there bearings and they can just walk around the outside of the loft, best of luck MANEY LOFTS, DUBLIN IRELAND

Hi from D.Ks lofts Birmingham rollers, Perth WA, can put shade cloth on the Bottom around the outside keep dust and dirt out of there water/and the sun 60% or less
Nice looking loft mate you will enjoy it. I would remove the plastic roof sheet and replace with colour bond as it will be very hot under it and the birds wont relax and will avoid the area.(same like humans under a pergola with same roof sheets,I would never sit under the plastic sheet unbearable)There is plenty of light I wouldn’t be worried about it. Also I would install some temperature insulation under the roof sheets like maybe “timber floor insulation”(the one they install under the timber floor) Or some foil bubble wrap (the one they use to wrap the ice bags on a palette to deliver to petrol stations)and a plywood sheet below that ,this will help in those summer days to block some heat to prevent cooking the birds in the loft so they relax better (less stress less canker) 👍
When you familiarise the birds at the new loft are you just going to let a few out at a time or all together ?? Also I could be totally wrong but have a niggle that the young bird you keep writing off will be much better than you think. My grandfather got a seemingly wild pigeon in ( years ago) and he kept putting it in his training tosses, thinking it wouldn't come back but that bird beat some seriously good ones back each time !!
May consider to install solid board door or louvers for the 2 grids besides the sliding door, to serve as a wind breaker for the birds in windy days or rainy days, and even can create more shade during hot summer
Looks neat & functional loft. V good & excellent plan. Perches attach from ceiling in the external space would be better option than fixing on the wire & open spaces for safety reasons if hawks or snakes may be a problem.
Hi.. Fascinating... Your dreaming is coming to life... So you going to have some other Lofts for breeding.. Have decided where are going to locate it.. I don't mean there is no space..
