I want to thank you for all your advice. We had a friend who had a litter of American Bullies, and one came up with swimming puppy syndrome. He was planning to put him down, and we decided to keep him and follow all your advice. After two days, he showed a lot of improvement. He also has a flat chest, and we followed other platforms. But THANK YOU! For helping us save this puppy 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
This will help a lot to my shih tzu furbabies since they're almost 1wk now and i want to prevent and correct their swimmers walk, thankyou so much for the tips.😊
Thank you for this, we breed Yorkies and had our first swimmer pup, she's only 4 weeks old. I have watched so many videos on hobbling and shoots and your was the best. Love then inside bathmat for added traction. I am on day 2 of PT so hopefully she will bounce to normal quick.
@katsshibainus3258 i just bought the little soft toddler sized ones. They're about an inch in diameter, I would think. I just chained three together, and it helped greatly!
This helped my puppy! Since we have pug puppies, I went to the dollar store and purchased soft toddler ponytail holders. I connected 3 of them (looped like a chain), and it was perfect. I tried tape and felt so bad when it came time to change it. He's pulling through and doing SO much better! Every other day works great.
@alizehustle9385 no, just his back legs. His front legs were fine. Hev stayed with us. He has a slightly flat chest from it, but we started treating him early enough. We had him examined by the vet, and he's fine. He's full of energy.
Brother, I just wanna Tell you that you really inspire me man and your videos are so raw and thorough. You don’t sugarcoat anything and you specify everything I really appreciate that man my first letter just dropped rojo Frenchie Merle is it OK if I reach out to you for advice? I have two puppies and they both are congested have been aspirating badly. I have been sucking out the milk with the aspirator. I’m gonna get a nebulizer tomorrow.
I would like to know how to make or where to buy a drop crate. I currently use grid top puppy pad holders, but it is a mess. I would like to have a setup that is easier to keep clean and better for pups. Do u have a video on drop crates or any advice on them. I breed Japanese chin.
Hey there hoping you’ll be able to respond, what if it appears there front Arms are doing something similar. My little pups is 16 days and his front arms go outward and he ends up tipping over on his back. What do you suggest?
How late is too late to correct this? I have a friend who has a swimmer puppy. I believe he is 3 months old and they’ve tried putting him in a harness type hammock with wheels. He is a chubby lazy little guy and has not been motivated so this hasn’t helped. They’re considering putting him down and I’m so upset. Is there anything else they can do?
Hi my puppy appear to have 1 back paw that turns inward then outward. But when hes laying he keep that back leg tucked in mostly then sometimes out. They are 3 weeks this is the only one not walking. But i havent intervened yet. Could this be swimmer leg? Or 1 bowleg or something else
Genuine question, I would appreciate it if anyone could respond as soon as you could. We just adopted a 2 month old pup, and she's got swimmer's syndrome on the hind legs. Is it too late to start treatment or can we still save the pup from this? Thank you so much in advance!
It’s gonna be harder but you can rehabilitate. I suggest making one of the chutes like I use in the video & doing hobbles for 15-30 minutes at a time a few times a day & you should start to see improvements. You can always book consultations with me threw this link www.breedlikeapro.com/1-1-breeder-consultation-15-minute
His back paws are pointed outwards like a duck will the bands help correct that or is that to late at 9 weeks yes he is walking and running is there other things I can do as well
My Lhasa gave birth to 8 puppies seven weeks ago then they started walking but I later discovered that one of d crying bcuz she couldn't walk, took her to d vet n was told nothing was wrong with her.now 4 out of d puppies has dis issue now but they get to in a day or two, then they can't walk.can dis method of urs work for them
@@shannonlockwood8684 no more than 30 minutes at a time. Hair ties work best because they add resistance n create strength instead of just limiting movement.
My puppy is three weeks old almost on Monday so another three days she’ll be three weeks ago. I just bubbled her with Kate. That’s all I have right now. I will get the rubber bands or hair ties but I have been using the bathmat ever since they were born with a little nubbies so it’s just because she’s so fat.
I had that happen on my first litter. I was devastated. Breaks your heart. Our momma dog looked at me like fix her. So sad. Then I lost the other runt the next day. They were about a week & a half old. However today is another adventure ,my girl just had her 2nd litter. Fingers crossed there all healthy. Cane Corso/Boxer/Pitty. Momma has a bit of Sharpe in her too. Ive had father & son for goin on 10 years. Needed one more male. Ppl loved their temperament ,learning ability and gawd damn there cuteness overload!!! Lol, so we had one last litter. Enjoy everyday with your best friends. 🐾❤️🥰
Just saw a video from a vet on this earlier today! Thank you for sharing

How did it go?
Did she end up bouncing back? If so how long did it take.
Aww one of my yorkies is like this how did everything go 😮
Great work men! Thanks for the free and useful info. For how long are you meant to keep the hobble on?
Just a few hours at a time at the most
I like the idea of those hair ties! What length/measurement are they? I like that ramp idea also!

Thanks for watching!
Can you put hair tie on front legs also or interchange with rear legs ?
Just rear

That’s normal they are not at walking age yet
Thank you, I was becoming concerned. Appreciate all you do!

That sounds more like a medical condition then it does swimmer syndrome

It should correct on its own but you should intervene & start assisting
Where can I get that wood thing to help with walking?
You make your own. I used a old wood pallet
Is that Judy in the background she’s getting so big 💜
Yes lol

Hi bro! I wanted to ask you to make a video about retirement of the girls. When do you do it, how do you do it, what is the best approach....
Thanks for the idea!
Is there a video on how to make the shoot?
No but it’s pretty simple
Can I buy one of those “shoots” off of you?
Where are you located?
So first 2 weeks or so soft to prevent flat chest then move to hard when they 3 weeks
My dog is 9 weeks is it to late for him he is walking though
If he’s walking you are fine
His back paws are pointed outwards like a duck will the bands help correct that or is that to late at 9 weeks yes he is walking and running is there other things I can do as well

Reading this just gave me a headache. You can try it
Do you have a mentor program?
I do mentorship on some full rights purchases & I launched the ABN where you get education, support & supplies. advancedbreeders.podia.com/
What if ur puppy has flat chest?
I’ve done videos on how to prevent this once it happens you have to get chest protectors to correct it
How to correct the flat chest that comes with swimmer puppies??? Thanks in advance
There’s brace kits you can put on the pup
Saw videos on using electrical tape for the back legs
Can be dangerous
@@BulldogBreeder why?
@@shannonlockwood8684 cause it will cut off circulation & you’ll loose it’s legs
@@BulldogBreeder well I keep an eye on him and make sure it’s not done tight, but I can see your point how that could happen

How did dog die
@alizehustle9385 she. Had birth defects..
Clavamox**
You won't breed from a dog who had this problem as a puppy, correct,
Swimmers syndrome is not genetic or a defect so false.
Stop breeding, please. Puppy mill.
