Great video but I should also add iMazing that does full iOS device backup over Wifi which smartly updates much like Time Machine in subsequent backups. And it can encrypted like iTunes backups.
It’s never. A good idea to have one company to hold all of your data. From iCloud to Gdrive is out of the frying pan and into the fire. losing all of your privacy and feeding it to Google’s AI. Great if you don’t have any privacy concerns with no tech support. Dropbox is not only the best alternative, its has features thats iCloud doesn’t. That’s a great solution Next Cloud and Own Cloud, are alternatives that you can have all your data either locally on a local cloud, or pay a service provider to store it in the cloud. I think thats going to have both local cloud and back it up to a service cloud.
I don't know, but it seems like your time is worth something. Sounds like a lot of screwing around with a bunch of different backup systems and how they work and what is backed up where. For me simple is good and iCloud fits the bill.
Great review. I use Dropbox and love it. I use apple iCloud for photos and subscribe for 2T. Is there any good alternative Apple Mail I can use on all my Apple devices?

Tresorit,NextCloud any of those are ok???

I use the Spark email app. It’s great!
