10 RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (THE STEPS YOU MUST TAKE BEFORE YOU SAY YES TO SOMEONE)
1. Marriage is a COVENANT. Don't go outside your COVENANT. (Genesis 24:2-3) Whatever you see in a lady or man is just the container, not the content. You must find out the spirit
controlling the person you want to marry. Understand the covenant that controls the person's actions. Remember that God respects covenants.
2. PRAYER. The person you're dealing with is a spirit, and you can only influence the person through the spirit. PRAYER directs you and exposes hidden things. PRAYER can help you
decipher when your partner is telling lies. (Genesis 24:12 NLT) You marry out of conviction, not out of revelation.
3. You don't marry by FORCE. (Genesis 24:8 NLT) Don't marry because your parents forced the person on you. You should marry out of your WILLINGNESS, not out of the fright of hurting the person.
